Great meeting... Great atmosphere.... Away fans going mental and riders celebrating just as mentally with them... There really is no comparison from what you have in the UK is there? Apart from Jack Holder was riding obviously,.. Its exactly the same sport, but it isn't really is it? "Proper Speedway Nige"...4 points

So you weren’t there, didn’t know anything about the meeting, track, opposition, conditions, refs decisions? In fact you knew nothing at all except what you read on the internet? Well they say opinions are like ar$eholes because everyone has one. I think all you did is prove the point. as to hitting a nerve ? Don’t flatter yourself mate, any real fan laughs at people who spout off with no knowledge of what they’re talking about. yeah, my boy did ride. He also top scored. Embarrassing…? Nope. I’m proud as hell.4 points

Well done Edinburgh, but speedway was the winner today, that was a terrific meeting3 points

With all the space available, t is possibly the worst designed track of recent years. there were no restrictions, an entirely blank page...3 points

I think he will be at Peterborough next year if he wants to be, I also think he will be racing again this year as he should be back for our September matches if not some of the later August meetings. Ulrichs very popular, with his team mates, sponsors and most importantly the fans and it’s noticeable he is very fit this year and a fit Ulrich on good equipment is a match for mostly anyone. You don’t put over 3 points on your starting average by fluke or accident.3 points

Terrific entertainment today. Points of note from my perspective; 1. Joe Lawlors late point was vital and he worked so hard to get it. 2. Cookie looks slightly off compared to previous seasons. He fought really hard in cracking races with Worrall and Masters. 3. Not enough water on the track. It didn't seem to detract from the racing but I found it odd, given the large water truck and smaller water tractor, that the dust would be quite so bad from a spectator viewpoint. 4. My favourite moment from today was when Kye was in 3rd and Justin was about to come under him thus forcing Kye out wide. It was almost at that moment Kye realised he can ride the boards (like he does at Armadale). He passed Jye and then after that he was excellent. 5. Brilliant collection for Uli. Speedway is such a great sport but moments like what happened on Friday are brutal. He's on the mend and that's the main thing so get well soon. 6. Looked a very good crowd today. Similar to the SGP qualifier a few weeks ago. Great to see and hopefully everyone was entertained.2 points

Track was very different to usual, it actually looked really good to me, maybe the riders weren't happy as it just caught them out a little bit, they didn't even do a track walk at the start? Is there ANY atmosphere in the pits whatsoever? I wouldn't be surprised if not with the manager merry-go-round and the lack of any real big hitters. Shame as the first few home meetings (Leicester and Scunthorpe in particular) were brilliant and the lads put up such a big fight, where tonight they seemed to struggle more with keeping their front wheels down on a much grippier than usual track. I liked the new track, this track curator is clearly one of the best about, the riders just need to get used to it now... Adam Roynon's hatred for Brough Park clearly isn't disappearing anytime soon either... I know he seemed to have major bike issues with his first bike, but he still seemed to struggle just to keep two wheels on the ground the rest of the meeting. Really hope Max Clegg can come back to the Max of 2019 too, massive shame seeing him struggle like that2 points

A lot of people there tonight had never been before and really enjoyed it and said they would be back. It’s much quieter on the centre green without Roy, yes I agree but it’s no miss2 points

Really enjoyed that meeting. Torun producing some great racing. Well done to Lublin. Deserved the win.2 points

I’d say before reviewing Sedgman, who scored 7 from 4 rides, and Wells (who scored paid 8 from 4 rides) we should be having a looking at the the decision making processes of the team manager. It’s not the first time this season that we have let potential points slip by decisions made from the pits, both before and during the meeting.2 points

I think you will just have to accept it`s 2nd division. Extraleague boys wouldn`t get out of bed for the pay rates on offer !!. As i said before even the SEC was 2nd rate before Onesport got involved and got it on TV. Also one should remember that all FIM Europe events were not recognised by the BSPA until a few years ago- their reasoning was that they were comp`s unnecessary in a crowded calendar and therefore no facility was granted for riders missing meetings over here to ride in UEM events. It was only pressure from the ACU/SCB that we should as a nation take part that forced the BSPA to change their policy.2 points

Ellis and Brennan need to be doing meetings like this to move forward watched Ellis on Thursday at Sheffield and he looks like he s moving forward he attacked the track and his race with pedersen was great to watch2 points

What an insightful summary… so what did you think of the meeting… the track… the “interesting” refereeing decisions? Also can you point out where the embarrassment was exactly so that I can pass in your opinion ?2 points

The rule this year is you can use a guest with an average 25% under the Riders average so Smetana is on a 5 so Poole can use anyone with an average under 3.752 points

Speedway / Grasstrack engines are designed to run on Methanol as, together with the heavy flywheels used,. it gives the best type of power delivery required for the sport, that is the explosive acceleration from a standing start with a single gear. They can run on petrol with a lot of modifications internally and to the timing and carburation, and quite a few Pre 65 Scramblers / MotoX riders use 2 valve Jawa engines. Engines designed to run on petrol can also be modified to run on Methanol, but many of the 1000cc Sidecar Grasstrack bikes using multi-cylinder Japanese road bike engines, although tuned, still use petrol.2 points

Was looking at the prices for "The Hundred" earlier... which no matter how much they try and hype it is still cricket. Under 5's free 6-15's a fiver Adults from a tenner At least there's always something going on at the cricket... I'm typing this as the tractor is doing its umpteenth lap at Leicester!2 points

Yes I did think that during the meeting. No one was expecting him back for a lot longer than this. But he fell off in his parade lap, broke down on a bike that sounded much like a lawnmower in his first heat after it cutting out on him before the tapes went up too, couldn't keep his front wheel down in his next 2 rides but looked brilliant to get a 5-1 with Ben in his last... More of his 4th ride and he'd be brilliant. I really do like Adam, but we all know how much he hates Brough too. His meeting against (Leicester??) Where he got 10 points from 4 rides... Shows he can do it1 point

What a Fantastic meeting that was . Really enjoyed it .1 point

I think Rich is spot on, methanol allows high compression and big flywheels which not only gives the right sort of power needed but a lot of engine braking too. The problem with road engines (or MX etc) on Speedway has always been the lack of flywheel effect.1 point

It's something that has been prevalent at many clubs in this sport for years I'm afraid. If you continue to ask pertinent questions you will very likely get the next old chesnut "Well if you don't like it don't come".Yet they still can't understand the damage that is caused by their comments.1 point

Time for Czestochowa to give Freddie the heave ho at the end of the season that's 2 seasons running now, he has underperformed for me. But bet we shall see a different Lindgren come the GP this weekend1 point

Well true but with the pandemic costing businesses money, I'm sure Poole would want the safety of the Championship for a few more years. Do you miss them?1 point

Do you have to attend a meeting to have an opinion? Certainly not, but if someone who knows absolutely nothing about what went on, the conditions, track, opposition or ref decisions and just base their insulting opinion on the final result, then they just come across as a bit of an internet dïckheäd. still… if the cap fits.1 point

The track has been excellent for the most part this season, Last night it appeared to be super smooth, so don’t know if that contributed to less passing than usual this year.1 point

Back in the 70’s I think Crewe had Saturday morning sessions for grass track bikes. Cheshire was a good area for grass meetings and by holding open sessions Crewe were no doubt benefitting from the potential. Maybe how Barry Meeks came to be riding for them, he was good on grass.1 point

His fall in Heat 15 was because he was busting a gut to get by Worrall to salvage a draw. They could still be racing now and he still wouldn't be able to get by. I thought it was a good match score wise but the racing was almost non existent! Heats 9 & 10 were quite good tussles. Otherwise everything was settled after bend 2 of lap 1. Unbelievably the announcer was yet again blowing smoke up the messiah's bottom during the interval when trying to get positive comments about the track from Kennedy. It maybe very nice to ride on, I don't know, but to make a pass on it's almost impossible, or was last night, that's why Morris had to pull his kamikaze move in the last "race". Still at least it was all over quickly... another 92 minute meeting. Well done to Poole.1 point

Any notes on how the crowd numbers were? Understrength Mildenhall side scared the leaders who still look to have a few passengers reliant on others scoring big. No way should Ryan Mac get beat my Muff twice anywhere but especially at home. Phillips did a decent job as a guest but you would fancy Jenkins to get more than the 7 RR brought for him. Would think the Bandits got away with it tonight.1 point

The Theatre Royal in Norwich has the 85 year old Engelbert Humperdink doing a one and a half hour show for £62.50 . and part of the act will be mimed or perhaps even all . That's what you call extortionate. Some of the seats are even dearer in other theatres to see him. Then there will be another £10 for a programme1 point
