How much would it be normally be for 2 adults or 2 adults with 2 children? A bit steep if you normally go on you own. No travel expenses..... If you are a true Glasgow fan you will pay the £11.954 points

If the rules are changing in June to open up, surely it’s better to cancel this meeting completely and put it back to when the stadium can fully re-open.4 points

Some may have seen that I have moaned about this on social media last few days, 18 months break between meetings. Electricity flowing through everyone's veins with excitement. Imagine this. Heat 1. Home rider wins. Crowd go wild. Winner celebrates with the crowd. Oh it's good to be back. Amazing. BUT..... As I said imagine that. Because that diddnt happen at belle vue. Now I understand jye had 2 rides on bounce so we can let him off. But in all the race winners only Bewley come round to take the applause. Fans seem to be invisible to the rider. We want to be entertained not just on track but with wheelies or like cookie does a fake chest pump on the badge. Means alot to the crowd that. When they do a good race and the crowd get excited they just kill any momentum the crowd gained by going straight to pits. . It's takes 30 secs to take the applause. Belle vue are really bad at it. What is your club like. Are you satisfied with the fan/rider interaction or does it not bother you3 points

He's on a hiding to nothing calls it off early, some fans moan, call it off late some fans moan. Meeting abandoned after a few heats and loads of track work, some fans moan. Personally I think its better to make the call earlier and save everyone time and money.3 points

Spectators allowed into Shielfield Park at last! Tickets for Saturday's bumper opening night are on sale from https://www.berwickspeedway.com/tickets/ and clearly going well, as it appears three sections of centre stand seating and two standing areas on the first turn are already are sold out per the site map on booking page. Stringent but sensible rules for attendance are clearly laid down, and should in no way deter anyone who wants to book a ticket from doing so. Meeting has Birmingham Brummies in town, and Belle Vue Colts following on in the second (NDL) match. Tapes up for CL match at 6.30pm sharp! It's been a long time coming!2 points

Not really,, more of a realist, When did he come back into Speedway when he bought Rye House again late 90s early 00s ? How many promoters have been and gone in that time ? People might not like him or his management style but to put it bluntly he must be doing something right2 points

Taken from the website ADMISSION Admission to the stadium for members of the public is through the turnstiles. There are marked lines outside the stadium – please also make sure you are socially distanced as you queue to get into the stadium. Please try to avoid turning up at the last moment. For those who have ordered their tickets online (which we recommend), please bring your ticket with you – either a physical copy or on your phone. The QR code (the matrix barcode) will be scanned to allow you entry to the stadium – please present to the staff at the entry point at the Eddie Wright Raceway and please also collect your programme. Please note that cash admission is also available – we will have one of the turnstile booths open for cash transactions. But those opting for cash payment will have to write down their address and details when they pay, so the quicker and preferred option is online payment.2 points

Before you start accusing dan you really ought to get your homework right first 0/10 for that statement2 points

Haven't Newcastle got the same structure? ie blocks of six being sold.. The bottom line is that such low capacities need to have their returns maximised... And to be fair to the teams faced with these reductions, many actually have a much less supply of tickets available than the demand from the fans. (For once). Therefore they could have gone down the route of increasing admission by a more higher amount than they have.. In a block of six if only one person wants a ticket would they be prepared to pay the £108 that the block should deliver? I wouldnt think so.. You can rent an 8 bedroom villa in Spain for £4000 which could cost £500 each or £4000 for one.. Either way the owner needs £4000 for it.. Not ideal granted and it may mean some regulars dont get to go to every meeting, but much worse is a track closing due to being unable to financially keep going.. And if that happened no one would be able to buy tickets even in 'blocks of one'...2 points

What are you going wear,2 points

That’s not the Speedway way. This is another typical British speedway own goal. The usual motto of Pi$$ off your regulars for short term gain has been applied yet again, it seems.2 points

Your call Steve but I completely understand why Poole are doing it this way to maximise income from a very limited capacity. If they sell a single £18 ticket in a block that’s £90 income lost to them (and a further 84% reduction in capacity). As for the difference with Plymouth, I don’t know but might it be because of the inside accommodation at Poole?2 points

Once again you show total disregard for the rules laid down by the "decision makers" who are doing this in the interests of the safety of the majority . It is just another indication of your selfishness & complete lack of concern for others, almost as bad as your rants over brexit.2 points

Whoever has decided this is the way forward has, in my opinion, got it completely wrong. I would urge those that do make them look at the way Plymouth have done it. It is so, so simple and from personal experience, very effective. Not going down well with those Ive spoken to either.2 points

Schroeck used to come out with the same nonsense when he was TM at Rye House. Awful TM who is afraid to take reserves out of rides and completely miss T/S opportunities.2 points

It's a case of you're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.1 point

With such a big start Ipswich should have scored over 60 points but they lost most of that in the last few heats when the Kings Lynn team started to get over the troubles they had had . Cook and Riss had got going and were back on form That was what the Manager was please about,1 point

maybe he felt after being so many down at one stage, to get that close by the end was a good sign?1 point

It really doesn't take much to do a lap of honour, promoters should 100% insist on their riders doing it and meaning it!!1 point

The sooner he is packed off back down under for good the better if this is what he's doing, no consideration for the paying public regardless of whether or not the club are content for him to do it. I've never liked his attitude to speedway anyway, too many times he's moaned about track conditions when others have just gone out and raced, good riddance to him when he's gone. I'd much rather watch the likes of Tom Brennan giving it their all than some lazy Aussie who doesn't give a toss.1 point

A couple of days off, but the weather forecast for Thursday and Friday looks very iffy with heavy rain and strong winds. It might test the new track drainage!1 point

Very pleased with the pricing all things considered. The club is not benefitting from car parking, F&B, hospitality and merch. When you factor in that one purchase can cover a household, it is clear that they have pitched it at an excellent price. This is a professional production with 4 cameras and Nigel on comms. The price point is equivalent if not a bit cheaper than other benchmarks, so fair play.1 point

Personally I think its a great shame not to be able to call on 5 others from your bubble/2 households! What we don't know is who set the 30% capacity? I can't imagine it was Matt/Danny!! So some fans will unfortunately be unlucky for hopefully this one meeting. Lets not forget that more stadium stewards will be required - probably as a condition of the Council - plus the question of who pays for them? Also still no clarification about the glass grandstand/bars/restaurant/loos etc? Still more info to come in 48 hours.......1 point

Whichever way you watch it you'll have to pay somewhere I guess. I watched on Eurosport player because otherwise I'd have to pay over 30 quid a month for Sky Sports as well.1 point

I just watched it and very much enjoyed it. Belle Vue is one of those tracks where just the way it rides makes it more exciting than most others. The lines there mean even when they are strung out a bit, theres still a good chance of making up the ground in one bend and challenging for position. Of course I was only watching highlights but considering some have said it was boring gate and go, the highlights were good1 point

I don’t think Boris wants to move June 21st goal posts, but what he doesn’t want is the Indian variant, and other factors, running through the country. I reckon as the country opens up following May 17th reports from all quarters of England will be centred to the government for analysis, including reports from speedway stadiums. Factors going forward will include, IMO, what work and attitude have stadium management displayed, PLUS, as important, the attitude and compliance of spectators. It’s quiet clear that some spectators are not too concerned over going along with regulations and some will bend the rules, or more, at every opportunity. Sadly, some ardent speedway fans will refrain from attending a live meeting because they are concerned over their health, that they are not fully convinced attending live meeting would be a happy event for them. So if Boris does hold back on the June 21st relaxing, it will be motivated not only on the Indian variant, but also by what is happening in society “today”, including speedway meetings. So, if there is a delay of June 21 relaxing (and I hope there is’nt a delay), remember, what is happening in the country today will have had an effect.1 point

The behind closed doors is temporary, hopefully. By waiting another month or whenever the next batch of restrictions are finally lifted they wont need to spend unnecessary amounts of money on Covid mitigations in the stadium. Setting up the streaming service is a gamble but hopefully it pays off. I'm sure the owners are pretty tired of the restrictions like everyone else.1 point

Peter Schroeck might be content with the Stars performance last night, but I am not. Losing at home isn’t acceptable to anyone. If teams want to win anything they must start by winning home meetings, any away points are a bonus.1 point

I don’t think it’s a speedway problem. I’m currently on holiday at a British leisure park (quite an upmarket one) They have gone above and beyond with all the guidelines and protocols but last night there were loads of people breaking the rules despite the staff politely asking them not to. Sadly 100%of those doing so we’re of pension age. I really feel for younger people who have been locked down to protect them and then have to watch the oldies flout the guidelines. Rant over1 point

Where did you get all that?Guess you weren't there. Tickets weren't available at the gate afaik, there were signs saying so.Track and trace were on the QR code weren't they. Thought capacity at Lynn was over 8000,so well within the Government guidelines. Plenty of marshalls there telling people to pull their masks up and distance.Although some chose delaying tactics. It was hard to distance with some obviously not seeing people for 20 months. All in all on that one well done Lynn.Shame about the team performance.1 point

Just seen these quotes after the meeting from Shroeck.I'm a fan and i want to see my team win at the end of the day.I'm not happy when i see the team manager say that he is 'content' after a defeat to your local rivals,he felt like they went away with nothing3pts is what they went away with. And how can you be pleased overall,we lost.I hope behind closed doors he has had a few sharp words with the riders and told them to get the set ups right a bit quicker next time, not put your arms around them and say you done alright really. I can't wait to see what Allitt has to sayIt will be the same old rubbish no doubt. TEAM boss Peter Schroeck declared himself content as King’s Lynn's late flurry denied derby rivals Ipswich all four points in a 47-43 defeat. “I feel like they went away with nothing in the end, even though they got the win,” said Schroeck. The boys started to find the right set-ups and we got there in the end so I am quite pleased overall.1 point
