  1. A ‘proper’ Rising Star Tom Brennan passing the leagues top rider Batchelor! Great ride!

  2. I think we should count ourselves lucky its not a NL guest only....In reality that's what it should be

  4. I don’t think it’s over yet Baggy. I can see a protest going in over the use of R/R for a non existent rider ( Klint) Points earned from R/R to be deducted and awarded to KL, or at the best The Broom Stickers can hope for is the meeting to be rerun. Never underestimate the relationship between Buster and Godfrey.

  5. To be honest, if there wasn’t a guest or rider replacement, would it be British speedway?

  6. Website goes with a named 7. EADT ( EDP Sister paper) the same. What can you say about an Ipswich team that is running R/R for a rider who has no intention of riding for them.? Only in Speedway. The Circus is back in Town

  7. You’re a right barrel of laughs aren’t you? We must have been watching a different meeting. The Wroclaw track is superb and offered up a whole stack of passing throughout. Another belter of a speedway meeting to round off a top weekend of action.

  8. When Speedways as good as this you don't want it to end. A brilliant weekend in Poland.

  9. Personally I think that online sales and booking in advance will slowly kill off many attractions if not addressed when things get back to some sort of normality. I know it's off topic but I won't be renewing my English Heritage membership until I'm able to visit when it suits me and on a whim and not to have to book a time slot and/or date in advance.

  10. Not a bad meeting in the end, some good racing and bend 4 seemed to have some super grip if you hit it right that would propel you forward an extra 20 yards. Anders Rowe, brilliant. What can you say he won Ipswich the match.Roll on the SON in a couple of years. Kinsley will struggle like most of us thought, whilst there were better riders to choose. But he is one of Allitts boys Proctor was very poor.Ok he needs more than one match, but he has to be more professional and turn up before 19:30.That was disgraceful and should be fined for that.If the match had started on time he wouldn't have And with a bit of luck we could have won with Kerr's e/f being critical. Let's not forget our poor management too,do they really know our riders.Heat 7 6pts down tac sub time,of course not.Jorgensen flying at the time, loves a wet track stick him in,no we don't want to do that.Ipswich used their noddle,i even called itDanny King ht1 R/R again loves wet track get out there get 3pts.Well done Hawkins. So a culmination of a few things and we could get better, but i do feel these will be the bottom 2 in the league.I hope they would be the top 2 and get in the final, that would be something else. Was the crowd really restricted to 1000.That's the biggest crowd of seen in a while 2,000-2,500 maybe, what do others think?

  13. Well as a neutral I enjoyed it. Easy to criticise bits and pieces of the presentation but nice to see a competitive meeting with a crowd in.

  17. Josh Bates rising star is as bad as it gets as rode in the main body of the team in the top division for Leicester. Poland do it right with under 21’s only.

  23. ........... and for those wanting to see team kevlars this season although not on Eurosport but probably YouTube at some point in the next few days, you will see Kings Lynn v Ipswich resplendent in matching kevlars with Ipswich using r/r & a guest wearing Peterborough kevlars.

  24. Well I am in Chester, maybe 25 miles west, we had some rain, not a lot, this morning but now blue skys. I would imagine would be similar but bit later time at BV. The track at BV is ok with rain like today’s. Will provide a good race track, just need the racers.

  26. Not had to type this for a while but.....Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If so, could you please send me a private message which includes your mobile number. Thanks Boy that felt good to finally be able to write that!

  27. With another issue being getting fans to buy into purchasing tickets in advance to attend a sport that is so impacted by rain... Especially at those tracks that have 'tourists' who may only be in the area for a week so a 'free entry to the next five matches' won't be of any use to them.. Maybe it's time to offer full refunds if matches are called off? Easy to do with card payments..

  28. Personally I hate team Kevlars and find it easier to distinguish riders with individual suits.

  29. I thought that it was a great advert for (current) British speedway. Unpredictable, exciting and the result in doubt until the end. Sort of "happiness is 40-38" for the younger generation. Both teams looked rusty at times and you could tell that Holder and Bewley are already getting up to speed, but give the others a break, they've had nearly 18 months off their bikes, give them a chance. I'd also like to say Eurosport did well, for a first meeting they did well and Abi Stephens was excellent as an anchor.

  30. Well at least the towel wasn’t thrown in, that strong finish at least gives them something to work with for the next meeting. One or two cobwebs blown away as the meeting progressed it would appear, you would imagine the rain did Lynn few favours but it’s the same for both sides and you just have to get on with it. Congrats Twitches.

  38. Weather in Norwich hasn’t been too bad this morning although showers forecast. How’s it looking in KL..? My car needs a run so unless I hear otherwise, I’ll assume meeting is going ahead and leave about 6pm. If it’s cancelled, at least my car gets a run

  39. Ipswich seem to be doing alright with r/r for Klindt. If it was for Allen, Crump and King would not be eligible for a ride.

  40. Not a question of being symptom free... he had Covid in January, it was just a positive test earlier in the week that was followed up by two negative ones. He was kicked off his flight last night and fined as he’s now on a quarantine list. He spent right up until another flight left this morning trying to get the list revised. even driving to the UK would have been a €5,000 fine.

  41. The worst of any rain now passed through, brightening up. Maybe a chance of a small shower this afternoon but looking good.

  47. Rather quiet? Well done to the Gems on their victory. A good sign for the future, especially the points scored by Danny Smith. Let's hope I get to see the Gems in person throughout the season.
