Philip, Just want to say one satisfied customer with the new delivery service down here in Herne Bay. As always a good read this week... and full marks to all involved with the Speedway Star for keeping the stories, interviews and features going throughout the past 12 months.

Because if your name and address wasnt on it then the person delivering it wouldnt have known where to deliver it....

Utter rubbish. Have you ever been involved in riders wage negotiations ? Whoever the rider is , at whatever position, he will be after the best deal he can get and the promoter will try and get him at the lowest rate he can get, that’s human nature. All riders and promoters talk, they all know what the going rate is so no one gets hoodwinked. Reserves will get reserves rates.

Just had a look at patent law, haven't gone into great detail but, it does say you cannot patent a product that isn't significantly different from anything else. So that would suggest that Speedway engines cannot be due to the simplicity & similarity of it's mechanical workings. GM, JAWA, Godden, JGM, Gerharx etc all legally have a free reign on each others equipment to make modifications and/or copies.

*JJ said "Nowadays, the standard is so high that except for a minute number of hyper-talented riders" If that were true , they won't reach Championship standard by the BSPL weakening the standard of the NDL .... shouldnt they be improving the standard of the NDL whilst still offering opportunites to novices in reserve slots at NDL level? Every season you keep on capping points limits at less than 42 points per side reduces the standard. 35 points is purely and simply just a cost saving measure. The system being used in 2021 is to throw in all the novices we can muster in on a " 3 point average" , at the expense of previous middle order riders who are much better but haven't become or don't want to be sooperstars. To cope with the restrictive points limit we employ "comeback " riders from a few seasons ago (or even longer) on assessed averages, and call them number ones.

Bruce Cribb smashed track record after track record where ever he took his bike , but he did cheat . it was an ice speedway bike .

Pedersen apparently turned down Lynn for P’boro due to the tracks. Don’t see an awful lot between the two teams really, Cook is the best rider from the two sides by some distance whereas Boro are much more solid. Buster has quite clearly stuck with riders who each set of fans have an affinity with, Lynn’s hopes seem to be pinned on Bridger sticking a couple of points on his average.
