Just love the word 'suggests' which suggests you don't know but heh ...... So - - I would suggest that as he has a UK passport; didn't need a work permit in 2019; rode for the Belle Vue Colts, a NDL team, in 2019 then that clearly makes him 'British' in the eyes of the UK government and British Speedway governing body. Throw in the fact that he is only 18, having arrived in the UK when only 16, ending up with an 8.55 average for the Colts just after a few months, this alone should be enough to make him a rising star - better average than team mate Danny Phillips who is ranked as a 2* rider. Plus he won't be the first rider to take advantage of being able to ride in Australian championship meetings. For example, Tai Woffinden won the 2006 Western Australian Under-16 title, in Perth.4 points

The theory is that Lynn wanted Bjarne but he preferred to go to P’boro so Buster might do a ‘swap’ with the two. As for uproar that lot moan and groan all the time anyway so would anyone even notice4 points

Ordered it yesterday afternoon, it came today before 2pm.. Always liked Kelvin, even when he seemed to be less than a favourite of many of the English fans.. (Although to be fair to be him, many of the fans at that time seemed to think they were all Americans).. And for me, does a great job on the commentary with Nigel P... Not everyone's cup of tea, but who cares, they sell the sport fantastically well...2 points

Agreed. Kyle has been in a very fortunate position for a long time with regards to sponsorship and has effectively been raised to become only a speedway rider however i fear that right of passage has meant the desire doesn't burn quite a bright as others who have had to work harder to get where they are now. Kyle is one rider who can never blame equipment which is a blessing as it means the only improvement left to come is from himself.2 points

I've had my first vaccine a few weeks ago and no ill effects. Second one due late March just had letter. By mid April everyone Over 50 and all vulnerable people will have had one vaccine and most over 70's will have had 2 vaccines. One vaccine gives more immunity than any Flu jab. There will be a tipping point when there will be more vaccinated and with some level of immunity through having had it than not vaccinated or not immune. The mid April point should see over 85% of the age / groups who have died with vaccine cover We won't ever get full immunity, this is like the flu in that respect, new strains and new vaccines to keep up. If Sport, not just Speedway doesn't start by mid / end Spring it never will. Of course we'll get a season , it will be different. Some Clubs will make the best of it, some wont. If anyone claims to be a speedway fan and wants to see it survive, it will be time to go and support or for ever stop moaning in my opinion.2 points

If it is Crump it will be great marketing opportunity which I hope pays off for them. Crumpie is an all time legend but will he average more than 8 points over a season and Bjarne more than 7. Its a tough league. Plymouth will have used up around 22 points and may get 15 points back. Key will be the other 5 riders and what they can deliver. Hope it works for them on and off the track1 point

So other potential top twos; Kurtz & Wright/Bewley Crump & Klindt Masters & Schlein Batchelor & Holder Harris & Pedersen Would have been happy with Cook and Riss, hope we can replace Erik with somebody who can compete in heats 13 & 15.1 point

You wont get a much bigger announcement than that.If true, its a fantastic coup for Plymouth and for the championship1 point

Agree with you all RE Kyle, super smooth, great machines and always turns out profesional, but he did seem to stagnate in 2019. Still young though and plenty of time to improve.1 point

Hopefully the amateur and grasstrack scene will resume in the summer months.1 point

What list? Where was it published? How long have they had to get that right? And still they get it wrong :-( For communication to work, it has to be "heard" and it has to be "right" - failures on both accounts here by the looks of it.1 point

I watched Jordan as a novice at Sittingbourne and then at Rye House when he retired mid season. He wasn’t an overnight sensation by any means and did his apprenticeship but at Rye he showed real class but I think he blew a bit hot underneath and threw it all in on a disagreement with management. On another comeback remember Peter Moore at Rayleigh in 73 and he still used his ‘cow horned’ handlebars looking out of place in the modern times then! He could certainly gate though!1 point

The advantage it has is its big capacity, maybe I’m being nostalgic but having big meetings back there would be pretty awesome.1 point

Unfortunately Kyle seams to have lost his way a bit, other younger riders who have not been around as long seamed to have got better, maybe Kyle can prove me wrong !! But don't think he should be a 4* rising star at elite level as I have seen on the list. That's if the list is correct ?1 point

I saw the Ivor Brown Ove Fundin incident at Wimbledon. 6 of one half a dozen of the other in my opinion. Brown had a reputation as a "hard rider" in the Provincial League but unfortunately came up against an even harder rider in Fundin. My memory is that Brown on the outside gate tried to move across onto Fundin, expecting Ove to give way .... Ove was never going to shut off ... and hit Ivor hard who was catapulted into the safety fence. Sadly, it effectively ended Ivor's career. Back to the present day .... my vote has to be firmly with Mr N. Pedersen who quite honestly, is lucky to be still riding , given the number of riders he has managed to knock off. Bad tempered , hot headed, lacking judgement or just plain dirty ..... to Mr N. Pedersen its always the other guy's fault. My lasting memory of Mr N. Pedersen is when one evening at Eastbourne he rode into Adam Shields and sent him flying on the the 3rd bend at Arlington. Pedersen just looked on and nonchalantly rode back into the pits adjusting his gloves as though nothing had happened. Only problem ...... Adam Shields was his Eastbourne race partner. I am not/never will be an Eastbourne supporter, but how Mr N Pedersen continued riding for Eastbourne after that dreadful incident amazes me. So many of these dirty riders listed are not "dirty" at all , just bad tempered and usually lacking machine control. e.g. Sean Wilson, Andre Compton.1 point

I have the same experiences One rider I know has run over the same rider twice now, but it won't happen again as the fallen rider has now retired. He's feeling rundown (only joking)1 point

Suppose I really meant injury free, certainly Scott looks fitter than ever. Joe Screen was a legend at Eastie especially before his bad leg break, but his idea of being fit I think was eating 1 pie instead of 2.1 point
-
Honestly That's what its all about to be fair and I genuinely think its a fantastic signing; Glasgow pulled of a coup a few year back with the signing of Joe Screen and he set a buzz about the place (and the league to be fair) as people like watching quality regardless of age... These guys keep fit as its all they do; riders are very professional these days in how they operate and conduct themselves which is rather ironic when you consider how the sport is run (and not just in the UK)… like you say these guys have great race craft and that is also what adds to there longevity; Joe Screen was always a pleasure to watch no matter where he was riding... Indoor speedway meetings are rare but I attended one here in South Africa back in 19831 point

I heard that . I didn't buy my first bike until the age off 44 and spent thousands trying to make it to NL standard in a short space of time which maybe was a bit crazy. Unlike Ledworth I hadn't ever ridden before so was at a huge disadvantage. I got so close with a no 7 offered for a meeting at Stoke only to be rained off ( surprise surprise ) and at the end of 2019 I decided to sell my laydowns and concentrate on upright racing. With the only competitive upright stuff at Scunny, I had a bit of a fall out over the social distancing aspect etc last season so ended up racing against the laydowns at Redcar which I was well on the pace with on a 30 year old JAWA. So over the winter Ive purchased another laydown rolling chasis and at the ripe old age of 49 Im looking forward to racing at a amateur level next season and see what happens. For me the National League in a minority sport like Speedway should be purely amateur league with riders only being paid travelling expenses and maybe £5 a point as pocket money. If you have the ambition to make it in to the paid sport then like other motor sports you have to have the money behind you to make that dream a reality. If it did go back to this I believe it would become a good mix of older lads enjoying the sport which in turn could bring on the new lads and catapult them on to the next level.1 point

Speedway has been gone from Bradford for a few years now so is there still the appetite and support for speedway in the city. You can lay the track, select the team but all of that is pretty pointless if the people are not there to support it.1 point

Yes Jordan Frampton was a talented rider who seemed to progress very quickly in a short space of time which indicates he could of gone further had he kept going?1 point
-
I’ve seen him mentioned on here already, but Jordan Frampton would be great. He was set to get abit further in the sport and I always felt like he could of done a ‘Charles Wright’ and gone to the top of the British scene, especially given the standard nowadays. I don’t think he’s interested anymore in regular action but still had a few practices fairly recently at Somerset within the last few years.1 point

That was part of a conversation I had with Ian Cartwright (one time "Duke") on one of my visits to "Mouseman" at Kilburn of which he is a director...a very nice, humble man by the way.1 point
