This might answer a few peoples questions here.... I believe this to be the correct category and document You’ll need to complete the public health passenger locator form before you travel to the UK. You need to take a coronavirus test before travelling to England. You’ll need to provide written evidence from a United Kingdom or English national governing body for your sport of your status as an international elite sportsperson or essential support staff attending a specified event. You will not need to self-isolate for up to 10 days as long as you proceed directly to the footprint of the listed elite sports event you are participating in, and remain either self-isolated or within the event location (or locations if the event has multiple venues) until your departure from the UK. You must isolate within the event footprint with elite sportspersons training for or competing in that event, and also ancillary sportspersons who are involved in that event. Travel between multiple venue locations for the sports event is permitted. The sports event may include provision of hotel or other suitable accommodation within its location(s). You remain obliged to self-isolate if you stay somewhere other than the event footprint (e.g. if you own a residence in England), but are allowed to travel between such a location and the event. The 10-day period for which you are subject to these additional conditions begins from when you were last in a non-exempt country or territory. ————— So the long and short, yes you can travel and compete between England and Poland - will the Polish league stop it like last year though, is a different kettle of fish altogether.....4 points

Sorry, but should everyone be punished for the misdemeanours ( understatement I know) of relatively few? I know it was state sponsored but the winter Olympics and world cup have already been held in the country so any financial impact of not holding events such as ice speedway wouldn't even register. Makes me laugh as well when Brits think Russia is a dodgy country and the UK and co are all squeaky clean, look at what the Fancy Bears uncovered........2 points

Finally some CAS / WADA info's: "The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) considered that in the circumstances, maintaining the FIM World Championship in Togliatti (Russia) was not in contradiction with the CAS decision mainly based on the extreme circumstances of the case, in particular considering that the FIM Ice Speedway World Championship is due to start in less than two weeks and only a few weeks passed since the issuance of the CAS decision in the Arbitration WADA v. RUSADA. WADA’s position expressed therein is without prejudice to WADA’s position in respect to other FIM events scheduled to be held during the Two Years Period (i.e. 2021 and 2022) in Russia. Among the measures taken by the FIM are, the removal of the Russian national flag from the visual elements (backdrops, race jackets, TV graphics). The Russian nationality of the riders will not be mentioned. The Russian national anthem shall not be played during these events."2 points

As the assumption is that this is assumed, you can therefore assume that the assumption is anything you assume it to be.1 point

He did say he got a King's Lynn engine from Lewis Rose.I would say that engine is specifically for Lynn, because you certainly need one specific for Lynn. And no doubt Somellier is correct too in which he has 2 new rolling chassis a new engine and 1 second hand engine. They will come in for away meetings no doubt.1 point

You never know in speedway, if one or two of them get injured, that could be their chances gone, look at us a couple of yrs ago with Steve... I wouldn't hit the panic button yet, I'm sure our brilliant leader and chairman has a plan in mind to make us competitive come May or whenever we're starting1 point

Get over yourself. I see you still think your mr important because you sponsor a couple of riders. You really are a melt. Seeing as you are so upset, you best ring mr Bridger and tell him to stop telling fibs on the BSPA website .1 point

Think your right in an league of 6 teams with teams made up mainly of Championship riders plus a rising star in each team Lewis will be fine I’m sure .1 point

I think he didn’t explain the full gist of the thread from a few years back when all this fiasco was actually happening. Buster and Godfrey actually bought around ten of the engines from the BSPA for themselves , that would be around two thirds of the engines that were delivered into the UK. A few were sold to riders, mainly juniors but they weren’t popular due to ignition issues. I believe he’s saying that Godfrey gave away the last of these engines that he owned, which he was very entitled to do. Dont think you will ever see one on track again , yet another one of the BSPA’s failures.1 point

Looks like you will get some kind of an announcement from Plymouth later today.1 point

Time flies indeed. I even raced against him in a German U21 meeting in Teterow in 2010. Good times.1 point

Possibly so but there are going to be more young riders coming in to offset the shortage.1 point

Really do rate Steven Goret quite highly, think he could make quite a name for himself if he continues like this... Interesting to hear about Patrick Hyjek... Hope he sticks with his German roots, lots of young Poles already...1 point

You have contradicted yourself. You assert the engines belonged to the BSPA and you assert that Godfrey gave them away. Godfrey is NOT the BSPA, so are you suggesting he appropriated BSPA assets to pass on to some mate in junior racing? (I don't think that was your intention, but it could be read that way)1 point

Rule 21/DLM/69 In the event of an abandonment the Management Committee will convene to allocate a maximum of 4 match points. Points will be allocated on the basis of a maximum of 2 points for the participants and a 2 point bonus for Scunthorpe. This Rule is unappealable1 point

If Plymouth were to be accepted in the championship & that's a big "IF" I don't think there are enough riders available to raise a competitive team. Look @ the proposed line-ups of Glasgow & Eastbourne. Using any riders not U.K. based will be a recipe for disaster in 2021!1 point
