Luke Harrision is 13 he is from scunthorpe. He is Wolverhampton mascot however hasn’t had chance to put the 250 round there yet due to some virus thing. He has ridden for Berwick in the junior league for 4 years and rides in as many practice and amateur events as possible.3 points

At Horsham a couple of weeks ago, i had a barcoded ticket, temperature test, NHS scan and had to sanitize my hands, before i got to the turnstiles. Pretty impressive stuff.2 points

As I've said on social media, I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who watched along and stuck with me through what's been a tough and really confusing season, and I'm sorry my commentary wasn't much good for a lot of it. I am pretty certain about half of the Polish meetings were postponed and rearranged for various oddball reasons which led to a somewhat farcical season at times, and that plus not being at trackside and having only limited information (particularly from Sweden) made for a trying experience. Thanks to all who have offered words of encouragement and have messaged in during broadcasts, and thanks to everyone who tuned in at any time. Congratulations to Unia Leszno and Masarna on their league wins.2 points

If that's how it pans out, I don't hold out much hope for Grudziadz!2 points

Chris Harris would have been a better option. Experience is key in these pressure events. Bomber is also a proud Brit, he would put it all on the line.2 points

Kulakov ruined it for me throwing away heat 14, but I still end the night in profit thanks to Miedzinski! I think this weekend has to be my biggest profit of the whole season across a weekend! What an end to the season1 point

I can understand fully people questioning why a second senior rider hasn’t been named alongside Robert, but for me the only two worth naming would be Ellis or Wright as I think they could actually be competitive and have some room for improvement. All the others have either been tried before and not performed or their careers have peaked and they aren’t good enough for international competition. On the basis that Ellis isn’t fit after his GP challenge crash (an assumption) and that Wright has chosen to stay dormant for the year it seems sensible to take the next best U21 for the experience and to reap the benefits in years to come of him being exposed to this level of competition now. Even if Kemp is way behind everyone else in his races (assuming he gets one/some) he will learn a hell of a lot from the weekend. I hope Palin and Woffinden will be there too.1 point

Not for me, Miedzinski had to back out of it but just kept on and ploughed in Fajfer. Certainly abit of luck that I needed after it all went south with his two wins! Just need to hope he doesn’t get a tactical sub ride now aswell1 point

I’m talking about in the squad not whether he is picked,Wright is in the squad but not racing this year.I was wondering if Cook is in the squad.1 point

I thought Lambert was being rumoured to be heading to Torun rather than Gorzow. If all your rumoured teams come off, there's not much left for Zielona Gora. They could be in some trouble.1 point

All depends who bombs out of Heat 14 and 15 for any of the juniors if the match is over. If the track is wet again then I'd write Miedzinski off straight away.1 point

Hate to be pedantic, but that is considered the bottom of Bishopsford Road; it changes to London Road the other side of Wandle Road. My mate Jeff lives opposite. Imperial Fields (or whatever it was before) used to be a training ground for Chelsea.1 point

Tai Woffinden, despite having broken hand, did his best to make sure that his team Wroclaw reached for bronze medal in the Polish Speedway ExtraLiga. He made available for Dan Bewley not only his engines from Ryszard Kowalski, but also mechanics, and during the two final matches personally supervised the progress. The effect was surprisingly good, because the young Bewley scored 23 points in two matches for the bronze medal and was by far the biggest surprise at the end of the season. Most importantly, the 21-year-old rode not only efficiently, but also very effectively, and confirmed that his problems at the start of the season were due to poor equipment and not fear of risky riding. (…)His position in the Wroclaw team will be rather unchallenged, because currently Tai Woffinden, Artiom Łaguta, Maciej Janowski, Gleb Czugunow and Bewley are sure of a contract for the next season. In recent weeks, several clubs have applied for the Brit, but Wrocław have told them that they do not intend to release him. (source: Przegląd Sportowy)1 point

Possible that Ellis is still not 100% although it looks like he is doing Peter Craven Meeting, but IMO the 2 Worrell’s or Ellis would have been a better choice as the 2nd rider. What we don’t know though is who was asked!!1 point

Think the point you are missing is that GB have a "Squad". A senior Squad and an Academy Squad. Adam Ellis and Charles Wright are in the senior Squad (with Tai / Lambert / Bewley (who is in both) but Worralls, Bomber and Lawson aren't. The Academy Squad includes likes of Kemp, Brennan, Palin, Gilkes;Flint;Edwards, Rowe; Bickley etc . So to bring in Bomber / Worralls / Lawson would have been same as Southgate calling a footballer in to his 22 man Squad and straight in to team. Kemp and Palin have been given U21 slots and Lambert, Bewley have main slots after Tai's injury1 point

We also know that... Kasprzak is likely to be leaving Gorzow... Linked to Grudziadz Artem Laguta is leaving Grudziadz... Heavily linked to sign for Wroclaw Matej Zagar is leaving Lublin... He's been linked to Zielona Gora if Vaculik departs to go to Gorzow Dominik Kubera is leaving Leszno... Heavily linked to sign for Lublin Jason Doyle is leaving Czestochowa... Likely to return to his contracted club at Torun Antonio Lindback is likely to be leaving Zielona Gora... Not sure of his destination Krystof Buckzcowski is leaving Grudziadz... Again, not sure of his destination Plus... Robert Lambert and Kacper Woryna are both likely to be leaving relegated Rybnik to sign for somebody else in the league. Lambert has just about been linked with every team in the league to fill one of the Under 24 roles.1 point

Oxford, as was the norm, during the early middle seventies were programmed to ride at Brandon the first match of the season in a league encounter...before they had ridden at home. 1975 was particularly irksome as the the Ole Olsen "will he or won't he ride for Oxford" saga continued into the early season and there was the bizzare situation when John Davis guest rode for himself at Coventry. The "Rebels" lost heavily (not surprisingly) 52-26 but returned later in the seaon in the Knock Out Cup to win 45-33 and then to hammer them 60-18 in the return leg at Cowley...sweet revenge indeed!1 point

Kemp should get his chance. The opportunity to take his game to another level. He says he wants to 'be there'. He can 'get there' in this tournament. If youth is the future they have to start somewhere, Go for it Drew!!!!1 point

NOTHING to gain by having Harris there. Look to the future. England have some excellent prospects coming through the ranks. Invest in them and, hopefully, reap the benefit later.1 point

If a team is allowed to dominate by signing the best riders, it doesn’t make it a league victory, but more an extended victory parade. Whilst Poland can boast of having the best riders, it doesn’t mean it has the most exciting racing or most thrilling finals. The British premier/championship finals are far superior imo. The Swedish league is a sorry excuse lacking anything of interest. Just riders turning up for a pay cheque.1 point

I disagree the SON looks much weaker this year & there's certainly a possibility that Lawson or the Worralls could've picked up points, especially against U-21 riders!1 point

Bloom 89 I accept in the current situation things are difficult but when you pay for a first class delivery, that’s it exactly what customer should be getting 1 day late at the latest not 3or 4days late .1 point

That could happen is every kind of speedway World championship. It could happen in the Grand Prix. Second in all the heats. Second in the semi-final. Second in the final. 18 points every round. It could happen in the old one-off World Finals too. I remember a topic coming up a while back, and I went through a programme to see if it could be done. It could. So, it's nothing new.1 point

Hello I'm a postie and don't really think the packaging has anything to do with delayed deliveries. At my office there are probably around 85 staff and for the last week we have had 40+ people off with Covid so unfortunately some people will receive mail late and there's not a lot we can do about it we are trying our best but we just don't have the resources, and I'd imagine it's the same up and down the country. but hopefully things should start to improve in the next week or so.1 point

I was lucky enough to do Ilford, Romford, Leytonstone and Walthamstow Avenue. One of my School mates old man was something to do with the Surrey FA. He was also a fan of Wimbledon and Tooting and Mitcham. I cut my football teeth visiting those famous old non league London grounds. A very similar path to my speedway roots.1 point

Agree, as a kid I watched many a rider grow up on that track and watched Kelly Moran, Erik Gundersen, Shawn Moran ride it to name a few for fun. The likes of Paul and Martin Dugard, David Norris, Mark Loram, The Standings, David Howe all grew up riding that track, a conveyer belt for a few riders..1 point
