More to do with the engines they use than the rider now but last year we had a falubaz rider over at Wolves and he was shocked of how deep the dirt was on the corners as in poland the tracks have barely any dirt, it took him 2 rides to get a full skid on, riding in Britain should be a must for any rider to learn how to ride a technical often rough track, anyone can go fast on s billiard table of a track3 points

Surprisingly there are quite a few of the first Speedway programme.....over the years a couple have come up on eBay and a few more on other auctions.....I have only ever seen three of the Autodrome programme......I mentioned the Celtic Park earlier and I have only seen one of those. Post war, one of the rarest is the Poole, England v Australasia of 1958....the meeting was canceled and the programmes never released and pulped......EXCEPT for those who were subscribers, I know of only six in existence, every one of those six programmes has a crease down the middle given they were folded and mailed.2 points

I vowed never to bet on KK ever ever, but surely even he can muster 3 points tonight?!2 points

Of course we don't know what's really going to happen. But well done to everyone for planning for the best, rather than assuming the worst. Keep the faith people. We'll have a beer in Cardiff, I'll be going to Brandon every Saturday and Oxford will reopen.2 points

Tarasenko has been absolutely superb everytime I’ve watched him this season, whether that be in Poland, the test match and now a revelation in Sweden. Great stuff2 points

Great scenes at Gorzow. Not the advantage they wanted or probably need, but certainly makes it interesting after being 8 down. Probably the meeting of the season too1 point

What a superb style Wozniak has got. Along with Holder and Thomsen, he’s the main reason Gorzow have made the final IMO. He’s been superb In the second half of the year after nearly being dropped earlier in the year1 point

In fairness, that was an absolute farce. It was belting it down for the last 4 or 5 races at least. In a normal meeting the match would of been called off ages ago.1 point

What i never seem to understand in speedway is when it's raining or the track is deep and grippy the so called better riders can't handle it.The so called lesser likes revel in it as shown tonight.Shouldn't the elite riders be able to ride any conditions and be better than the lesser likes any any track given to them.1 point

My lad is playing in the FA Youth Cup tonight, there will be a few hundred there. .. We are at home because the other team is in the fifth tier of football so cannot have a crowd, hence we are holding it.. Several hundred people in a stadium with mostly standing areas can have a crowd.. Whilst a stadium with mostly seats (so social distancing controls are much easier) cannot. Crackers1 point

If you can watch it fo free on the night ,don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t put it up later.1 point

That's fair enough, if you or your family are in the vulnerable category please accept my apologies and I think you're doing exactly the right thing. I also think you should attend the Speedway as soon as you are able and follow all of the restrictions that are required .1 point

This is pointless for fans. A vaccine won't be found until 2024/2025 at the earliest.1 point

A Final 25, 21, 18, 16 B Final 15, 13, 12, 11. C Final 10, 8, 7, 6. D Final 5, 3, 2, 1. Those who have done the best on the night head to head against everyone else gets rewarded with the "big points".. And there is an extra reward in every final for winning it.. And the overall GP winner gets a decent amount over second but hopefully not enough to have the series over by half way due to an unassailable lead if he wins a few.. And, which will please the FIM, the GP winner is the one who crosses the line first in the final.. And the fifth race for everybody would be crucial to their final points scoring as the vast majority of the field would still not be sure of which Final they will race in, meaning a tense last four programmed races ideal for TV.. Then you can add four finals with the most evenly matched quartet of riders from qualifying up against one another...1 point

Have to agree that coverage was amateurish again. CMore or whoever is producer has to improve graphics as it is crucial part of the sport to know who is actually riding. Without that they will not sell rights to other countries anymore I'm afraid.1 point

I'm pleased for Lindback as he has had a terrible GP season so this title win will boost his confidence. He can't have had it easy in the GP.1 point

4 finals would give TV and paying fans a scoring system that is easy to follow. Every heat would be meaningful. 24 heats instead of 23.1 point

I think I could sign up to a 4 final formula. Top 4 from the 20 heats to the A final, the next 4 to the B final and so on. Then award WC points as per this year's system. This would satisfy both arguments. Every race would count in that riders couldn't relax too much as the odd point could make a difference of 4 places or more. And the winner of the A final would always get the most points. Also, someone crawling into the latter stages couldn't still win the meeting. I think there's some real mileage in this.1 point

I didn't have a stupid theory that he would ride, I had another sort of theory that he might, just might ride Edit: Mind you, quoting a website that says the next event is the SON final in 15 days in Manchester might undermine the veracity of any news that they carry. Just kidding my patient friend. I'll move to another thread and annoy you there, promise.1 point

Exactly why the system is rubbish. How would any fan know this when watching live.1 point

No, there is no directive, you don't need a directive to do the decent human thing and think of those not as fortunate as yourself and maybe if you are able to get off your @rse and do your own shopping when there are people out there who are high risk and can't get delivery slots you should1 point

I don't mind Natalie Quirke. She and Scott make a decent team, although they should get a third person to offer a different perspective. You're right about Kiri Bloor, she's bloody awful.1 point

it all proved pretty academic in the end as Bartek finished 16 points clear of Tai where under the old system he would have finished 18 ahead. What it did add was real jeopardy in the final round making it more akin to a one off world final than a GP series. What it did show was that nobody really knew what was going on and who had to score what as the commentary team showed when trying to explain what would happen if Bartek didn't make the final, that it would depend who finished where in the semi-finals and then look back through the programme to see who had beaten who in which heat on count back, those of us watching on TV had the luxury of somebody trying to explain it to us... I bet if you were in the stadium you wouldn't have a clue who had actually won... fortunately Bartek made the final and won a well deserved 2nd title.1 point
