So now you water down the product to include National League standard riders to make your 64 up and expect the likes of Richard Lawson, Danny King and Charles Wright to race against NL reserves and call it a competitive championship? Mr. Wright is unlikely to pack his full time job in on the building site to compete in 2 or 3 meetings to ride in that sort of meeting for the going rate (peanuts.) which tracks do you see cueing up to stage these ‘ competitive’ ( loss making ) meetings ?3 points

Well I know someone who has tried the system to get an answer.... They were able to put over 1600 in their basket2 points

I urge people to rally and keep buying the Speedway Star it is an institution and if we lose it would be sadly missed. I remember a chap at Rye House, I think called Arthur bellowing "are you reading Speedway Mail" well nobody does now. On a practical level the history articles and brilliant. Remember you never knew what you had till its gone ...…. Rayleigh, Rye House 1 and Rye House 2.2 points

I'd go anything at the moment. The boredom is becoming unbearable. Hopefully Non league football will start soon, add to that the odd speedway or grasstrack meeting before the year is over.2 points

I'm sorry, but it is fact. There are rules on online forums and groups for a reason, and John has been shown to break these rules on multiple occasions. I'm not taking any pleasure in saying it, which is why I have actually tried to help him. Despite what you may think, I do not hate John; I just don't understand why he does some of the things he does.1 point

I enjoyed watching the Polish League meetings tonight. Much better than having to watch Snooker or Tennis, which is shown instead of speedway on the German Eurosport. They never show Polish League speedway here in Germany. Neither do they show the SEC, not even now with so few other live sports during the Covid-19 crisis.1 point

... Or even a similar series run along the lines of a Southern, Midland & Northern Riders Championships with the top 5 from each series going on to a British Final? Something... Anything. Should be relatively easy to organise. I'm surprised the BSPA didn't have a contingency plan really, the message seems to have been we've cancelled the leagues... you can all do what you want.1 point

Suggested something similar way back at the start of lockdown. Would be a great idea, makes a lot of sense to me. The only stumbling block would be that if fans are only allowed in from October then time may be against it. It wouldn’t be hard to whittle 64 down to 16 with meaningful qualifiers and a final. I think a British Championship series should be looked into going forward anyway. Qualifiers in March-April with a series running from May til July for example. A meaningful competition that would also give fixtures to a lot of tracks. We should be finding ways to fill fixture lists with interesting competition, not just two home and away meetings in the league. If the Cardiff wildcard is the big prize for being British Champion then the champion can take the wildcard the following season. Simple.1 point

Got permanent reservation. Will still do so despite Mr Risings fanatical support for Brexit1 point

Well done Lambert,he certainly is riding very well so far this year.On a very poor track though.Madsen wasn't up for the fight on a difficult track. He seems to rely on a very fast bike rather than trying to negotiate a difficult track using a bit of skill and obviously needing big balls to do it. If Lambert finishes second to Madsen in the SEC,does he qualify for the GP's if Madsen finishes in the top 8 of that competition therefore automatically qualifying anyway1 point

Super performance from Robert. he now needs tunnelled vision on winning the title.... he is definitely capable of it and tonight’s result should Give him the confidence and vision of achieving first place1 point

Well rode Robert lambert, I am devastated by kasprazak, just had to not finish last and I was in the money, I don’t know why I’m surprised really it’s kasprazak, the rider who can win 3 races by a straight and then lose to novices in his next 3 races1 point

Not a bad shout that THJ.. None of them have had a great season, but then again, none of them have had a bad one either.. Every rider has definitely managed to maintain their average......1 point

Why is that? I'm more concerned with the levels of deaths falling.. which they have... rapidly. Funnily enough, with no mask. The figures also show that social distancing and other restrictions have done nothing to effect viruses either. As said, the actual figures show how gullible you are. Each to their own.1 point

That seems the logical thing from next year. By all means have GP riders as the “wildcards” but for the 1-15 should be non GP riders.1 point

Would be silly to allow GP riders in it if they aren’t going to award it to second in this scenario.1 point

Thung to remember, Bob, is that by his own admission, John has previously been banned from the BSF (and the BSF is a lot more than just this "years gone by" section) for breaking forum rules. He has also been banned from a number Facebook groups. For me, it is really sad that someone who can be - and SHOULD be - a valuable member of any speedway forum/group lets himself down the way he does...1 point

Think this is the correct decision can now focus on 2021 with the same teams, hope all clubs are able to run1 point

Ok, you're simply wrong then. You couldn't be more wrong in fact. Complaints about 'grid girls' and 'walk on girls' most certainly aren't coming from right wingers.1 point
-
Basically what we have is a group of jealous woman trying to enforce their way on to others and a group of chauvenistic men telling women to 'cover up'. Oh and a group just creeping to the vociferous minority for a bit of attention.1 point

Why? Folks continuously trot out the same old scripted lines... but never come up with any legitimate reason.1 point
-
The world is far too politically correct. If a girl wants to earn money as a grid girl then why stop her. No one is forcing her to do the job, it's her choice to earn an honest sum of money. Those that are 'offended' should get more to do in there life. Too many people find offence at the slightest thing and it means the small minority rule for the majoritry because they are offended and something has to be done as a result. I'm grossly offended by those who find offence. Tell them to go forth1 point

As I've already said FD as long as girls are not forced or coerced in any way, good luck to them earning a living as grid/umbrella girls.1 point
