Used to & still does annoy me when a phone goes off. There are signs on the entrances to the auditoriums & pre match warnings/advice. If a phone goes off, kick them out & keep them out!3 points

I remember John Davis saying something similar about young riders years ago , saying like that they've got two bikes each and a van with their name on it , before they've even made a name for themselves3 points

I'd settle for some NL standard meetings this season, if the Championship can't run.2 points

Covid-19 is comparitively not that common, but you really, really do not want to become infected. I speak more knowingly than I would like to, and my 'attitude' as you put it, is based upon personally knowing people who have suffered greatly from the pandemic, not wishing to catch it and, like everyone, hoping it will be over soon without more lives changed and / or lives lost. With many following lockdown guidelines, but some not, with guidelines being eased slightly it's a bit early for folk to behave as they did before regarding SD, not sanitising, etc. the pandemic is thankfully easing but at this juncture it only takes one or two persons to unknowingly become Covid-19 postive, then whilst in a crowd unwittingly pass it on and so it mulitplies once more, even if locally....2 points

The problem with this is, very often, the ones who bemoan the lack of characters are the first to be up in arms at the first sign of a 'bust-up or fracas'.2 points

I really like the look of Lublin and they’re in a good run of form. Zagar was abit ropey in the first few weeks but he’s been quality for a number of weeks now along with Michelson and Laguta, who has been sensational. I don’t know anything about Miesac except he’s 50% out of control and 50% lunatic, seems to score score points though! I really rate Lampart and Trofimov at the bottom end too - Trofimov is always in the mix and a fast starter too. They could be spoilers come the end of the season, especially if Hampel fancies it and makes a few starts.2 points

And let's be honest, most of the money Terry Russell did make from the various TV deals has been ploughed back into Swindon over the years. I doubt he made a net profit on those two activities.2 points

Annoys the hell out of me, you try to the chequered flag no matter what or get out of the game, I glad the Lublin fans boo and whistle at him, it’s shameful2 points

There isn't a sad enough emoji for how this makes me feel. A Proper on-the-boards racer, and fan favourite. Good luck with your future endeavours Nico, we'll miss you.2 points

Haven't we all done something that could affect our livelihoods. We are speedway fans we must have done something in our lives that has a hint of danger about it.1 point

PAJARI, Antti Born: August 27, 1932, Sippola, Finland. When Antti Pajari signed for Coventry at the start of the 1959 season he became the first Finn to race in league speedway in Britain. He was an accomplished performer on both shale and ice and had been involved in speedway for around nine years in Scandinavia, having to return to action after breaking both legs in an ice-speedway crash in 1952. By the latter part of the decade Antti was Finland’s top trackman and claimed three successive national speedway titles between 1956 and 1958. His reputation was excellent and he soon endeared himself to the Coventry fans with his own spectacular brand of riding, scoring ten, paid eleven, in his second league match against Norwich. Some of his form in the early part of the season was outstanding but he suffered a confidence sapping run of machine problems which reduced his average to below five points per match. He was struggling with the smaller and slicker British tracks and made it known that he would not be back for a second season at the end of the year. After leaving Brandon Antti’s standing in Scandinavian speedway dimmed somewhat and he never really reached the same heights domestically again, losing his place as Finland’s number one to the up and coming Timo Laine. Year Club Division M R P BP TP CMA FM PM 1959 Coventry NL 12 46 45 8 53 4.61 - - Individual Honours: Finnish Champion 1956, 1957, 1958. International Honours: Finnish international – 14 caps, 58 points.1 point

I AGREE - Adams and Gollob stand out. But if Bewley basically has nothing else to do you can surely understand why he resorts to something he loves and under normal circumstances would help him keep fit.1 point

I can't see there being competitive action this year in the UK Col. We live in a time where statistics and facts have been confined to the skip. Pretty confident that all singular sporting entities, have NO say in the matter. If they did I am sure clubs would do EVERYTHING to meet the 'autocratic' guidance. P.S Card only!1 point

I recall seeing Pete ride for Wimbledon for whom he appeared a couple of times at the start of the 1964 season That season started in controversy which led to the Provincial League running 'black'. Provincial League riders were warned by the Speedway Control Board that they were in breach of ACU regulations and could be suspended from all competitive racing. I think Pete (and maybe others?) decided that they would try their luck with a National League team rather than face a ban. It seems things didn't work out and he moved on to Wolverhampton. Ironically it was Wolves' refusal to move up to the National League after winning the Provincial League title in 1963 that caused the problem.1 point

Suggestions generally seem to be that racing might get going in October. Could be too little too wet.1 point

So you say.. but the evidence says otherwise. But go ahead.. comply.. comply.. comply and even worse.. beg for more. That always ends well, history has shown us that1 point

Miesac is 'entertaining' to watch.. Not sure his fellow riders always think its 'entertaining' to race with him.. A rider you would prefer to have on your side I would suggest.. He 'disappeared' for a few years after a promising junior career and came back several years ago now with new equipment and an attitude of some unfinished business.. Worked his way up to HL level over there in the past three years.. Always worth watching his races... If he did lose money when Nicki P stopped I am sure he will have let him know.. A 'cardinal sin' amongst riders over there, but is sometimes used as a 'getting your own back' ploy if the rider running last feels that the rider in third, now behind his team mate, has 'done him' to gain that position..1 point

Stock cars at kirky lane put money in Perrins pocket but it was the start of the decline of the Speedway track and the stadium as a good venue. Stock cars were supposed to put the track back to normal... but that never happened so the track went through slow deterioration.1 point

Tha fat Jap Lawwell is already making statements to this effect. Trying to pressure nippy into action. Coffers must be taking a hit for him to start this campaign early.1 point

With Snooker you can easily identify anybody coughing and they can be jumped on, bagged up and thrown out onto the street1 point

DOUBT whether that is true. Without Terry Russell's initial efforts there would have been no Sky deal in the first place. He was entitled to commission then, as would anyone who brought in millions. It was Terry who kept the deal going and the promoters were happy to continuing paying commission. It was only when certain parties thought they could do better without Terry that the Sky deal started to falll out of bed.1 point

Regardless of where the cash went it's proof if needed that those who run speedway in the country are incompetent. Vast amounts of money wasted and not invested in the future of the sport, total failure to capitalise on the involvement of sky sports and the greater media attention that brought for a few seasons. I would love to see the sport return to Brandon I have such fond memories of watching my team Ipswich at Brandon on Saturday evenings during the 90s and of course those wonderful Sunday afternoon British finals of the early mid 90s. I'm sorry to say that unless this once wonderful sport changes dramatically in the next 6 months ready for 2021 then the fate of speedway in this country will mirror that of Brandon. I wish you guys who are trying to save the stadium and return it to speedway use all the best but without massive change the sport will be nothing but a memory in a few years with the exception of one or two tracks staging the old open meeting and experience days.1 point

Think someone needs to sit him down and have a chat with him if he wants to make it to the top of the sport. Just seems to lack that professionalism off the track compared to the likes of woffy and lambert. Needs to screw the head a bit if he wants to get to that level imo.1 point

To be honest this current virus (I hate the word) aint going anywhere fast so we got to live with it. Lets just get on with matters, sport whatever. If folk want to go they will, if they dont then so be it. You just look at Leeds footie fans again tonight rightly celebrating as did Liverpool recently and crowds at beaches and on BLM protests. We have to move forward sometime, ok Govt have said in bits and pieces but no one seems to know full picture. No doubt they go to Theatres as they opening (inside) for audiences. They saying on here Stocks running with crowds so does that count as a minor sport One consolation we dont need to listen anymore in mornings to Dr H (We all doomed Mr Mainwairing)Jones on ITV He off on jollies1 point

I would say disastrous for many organisations not just sports clubs. Once again more mixed messaging bollox from the government. I think george Orwells 1984 is slowly becoming a reality as they assimilate control of us all. I get that some people are afraid and will do as they are told however if Putin was about to invade and the government said we must all bear arms then would people actually follow this advice?1 point

Look all you need to do with Boris is shout loud enough and he'll change his mind. What we need to do is start a campaign "we want to attend our sport stadiums", get it all over social media, get some mediocre premeirship footballer to vocally back it, have a segment on the Jeremy Vine show and within 30 minutes Boris will put out a release that he has done a U turn on attending sports stadia1 point

Gorzow v Czestochowa will be replayed if Gorzow ever finish the Electrical work- Gorzow are saying that they cannot run on the re-arranged date for the postponed Wroclaw match of Tuesday July 28th. They are talking about August 9th before stadium will be available. They are a joke !!!1 point

SADLY no ... the magazine is printed in two sections .... 32 and 16.As previously stated, if and hopefully when sales reach a certain level we will re-examine. Pinegen's revenue from retail sales of SS in April were the lowest on record and have only marginally improved since. Once again, our sincere thanks to everyone who has continue to purchase SS through these extremely difficult times.1 point

It's funny but when I read this, I read it as a tongue in cheek type of comment, like in our opinion the riders biggest risk is riding the bikes rather than getting covid But that's just my interpretation.1 point
