It does make me laugh that people think that, just because they've signed up to 3 months free on Premier, that they will remove popular sports from their schedule to show a speedway meeting at the drop of a hat.3 points

DON'T think any of them are driving away from the stadium with their car boot stacked to the gills with cash... which used to happen in the halcyon days of the sport.2 points

The Tuesday match is not going to be broadcast I am afraid as there is no room to fit it into the schedule. I will advise as soon as I am told what is happening tomorrow. And as I have said on Twitter, I do not control what is shown on our channels, I am just the commentator, so kindly do not direct complaints and abuse at me when things change or are not as scheduled. I can only commentate on what is there and communicate what information I am given.1 point

Having all the rounds in Poland could have a detrimental effect on the Polish riders as there will be so much pressure on them to win1 point

Did he conveniently forget to mention that under his stewardship they should have landscaped a vast area of the land, which they never did which resulted in the lease being cut.1 point

I only ever watched the first couple at my first ever speedway meeting in 1976 behind the main grandstand glass once you have experienced speedway outside in the open air with the noise and smell that surrounds you, then there is no going back inside a sterile environment no-matter how cold it may get outside. I remember having to out my pen in a warm place on many occasions to keep it warm, so that I would be able to fill in the programme.1 point

In case you haven't read this week's Speedway Star I think you'll find that Rob Godfrey is already ahead with the appropriate lobbying to and by those in Government authority.1 point

Leicester have committed to CL on Saturdays and NL on Wednesdays once the racing starts: if it does!1 point

Absolutely. If thousands of people can demonstrate in city centres, go to the beach and visit shops, then surely speedway with it's meagre attendances can prepare to get going again. Social distancing should be easily enforced at most venues.1 point

Let's not forget, it's the Promoter who's chasing the plastic trophies, that agrees to pay the Riders what they ask for, can you imagine what Tesco would say if you went and asked for £25 an hour to stack shelves! Everyone knows the Sport is on it's knees, but still the Promoters are agreeing to deals that will drive them further into debt, there is no answer, as there will always be at least one Promoter in every League who has big pockets and an ego to match.1 point

Those NL days were superb. A great mix of huge young talent, entertainers, and hard/dirty riders. Always had a buzz of excitement about the place. Go on Ipswich speedway/rerun put some of these matches on.1 point

WHERE would the other two be? Not what I'm hearing. Makes logistical sense to stay in Poland. Not just the riders but officials, TV etc. and the only country where there might be an audience, albeit limited.1 point

You forget most people aren't self centred drama queens like you. It's not a post about being right or wrong it's about what may or may not happen. I'll be there as often as I can be, will you be at your track?1 point

I haven’t been to a meeting since Lakeside closed . With each passing week I miss it less. I was my intention to go to occasional meetings but there are such a bunch of cowboys in charge I don’t feel motivated and have found plenty of other things to do. There must be thousands like me. Great memories of the sport, but it’s difficult to avoid the conclusion that the great days are gone and won’t be back.1 point

It attracts a young crowd. Just as the big meetings in Denmark do. We even league meetings attract a fairly diverse crowd, but the big meetings really bring out the young have a few bevvy crowd, willing to pay out for food and drink. Totally different to the UK crowds in general. Just that is was reading one of those Jeff Scott fanzine style article a couple of days back. One that he wrote for the Irish Times at the end of last year.....1 point

On the other hand maybe upping the price to make it seem more exclusive and maybe get rid of a lot of the older fans to bring in a fresh young look and make the sport more fashionable is the answer ? Trying to keep the old people happy doesn't seem to have worked. And look at the crowds in Poland . Despite the fallacy often bandied about, the sport isn't cheap there and the crowd isn't full of old people with blankets and flasks. It is young and fashionable. But you have to get out and market it to the young and there isn't really anyone in the sport capable of pulling it off. Just a thought though...... The number one reason businesses fail is, simply, their prices are too low. They don’t sell their products at prices high enough, then they operate on margins so small they are unable to expand There is no company that can’t increase prices if they understand a few simple tips It is a well known and successful market strategy1 point

Don’t get me wrong. My response is to pretty much anyone that thinks Bewley is already the better prospect which I’m seeing a lot on social media even after his dismal showing on Friday. It’s more a reality check that some say he will be in the GPS before Robert. I couldn’t be any more happier we have riders in Poland which can only be a great thing for our future. Obviously Robert has more experience, he is older! but both still have a mass of growth in them so we should be applauding both. And I definitely fall into that category to be clear.1 point

Cheers for the sarcasm. Why there? How about a track where none of the GP riders race? I’d rather they didn’t have a World Championship at all at this stage personally.0 points
