Didn’t think there would ever be a more mind numbing thread on this forum than gavan arguing with poole fans but some how this one has managed it5 points

Reading these posts has left me under no doubt that this Speedster15 is the original Pboro loon that came out years ago . The one who posted about having a Bjerre poster on his wall, a huge Sundstrom fan etc? Has to be.4 points

I never saw this as a bargain signing at all, a huge underachiever who does not come cheap Brum will be better off in the longterm.4 points

The best way to have sorted this out is to have banned the bb holders who were abusive to staff, NOT everyone who as a blue badge ? But the management know better NOT......4 points

It's a balancing act. If you close schools then people have to take time off work which hurts the economy and people who work in healthcare are not available at a time when the health service needs them most. Given that we are 4 weeks behind Italy we have a nice little case study we can follow. If our infections rates continue at the same rate as Italy's were 4 weeks ago then we know we have to take decisive action and the timings of Italy's actions show us when we should take certain steps. As it stands our infection rate is growing at around 20%, whereas Italy's was 35% before they announced their effective shutdown, which suggests we are no where near in as bad a state as they were.2 points

He won’t reveal his identity because of how he acted on here during the last ten years. Not just just his recent pathetic posts. Isn’t it ironic about the BB holders and such , when this guy is probably the most disabled out of everyone???2 points

If the government ban gatherings of more than 500 people most domestic speedway meetings should be unaffected.2 points

Typical politically motivated rant. One minute the loons are screaming he doesn't take it seriously, he should be locking things down blah blah.. He does what they want.. they scream he's over reacting.2 points

Seems like a bit of a Jonasson free for all on here, not his fault he’s been mucked about and I think he’d have been a decent signing without setting the world alight. His exclusion certainly weakens Brum.2 points

I’ve been hearing this about him for years including his various spells in the top flight. Always appears to be on a bargain low average. The reality is that it isn’t a bargain at all as he has been hugely overrated for a huge chunk of his career. At championship level you would expect his average to be much higher but the truth is because of his general lack of interest in riding in the UK I’d say that is mostly his level these days.2 points

Stuart must have been a very popular rider amongst his peers the star studded line up for his farewell meeting on 21st March is very impressive1 point

Whilst I don't want to get into an argument about the sport of Greyhound Racing, that comment just isn't true, last summer during the warmest of weather a number of meetings were cancelled in the South of the country for welfare reasons.1 point

You also have plenty of work to do re arranging the anniversary meeting as well. It’s okay , it’s known who you are1 point

Nope you're reading that right. It's just word play. Technically they haven't excluded anyone from attending but if the promoter's remove a longstanding reasonable adjustment managed by all previous promotions over the last 15/20 years and consequently any of their disabled customers can't attend because of that then that's an exclusion whether they like the term or not!1 point

That's Michael Jones,,, he has learning difficulties as far as I'm aware. I'm more thinking female, a partner of one of those involved,,, certainly types and talks like a female,,,, going over the same thing over and over again. Which could explain the sudden back tracking,,, as its close to her name coming out.1 point

He definitely isn't in the know, as he claims to be. He won't get any respect until he reveals who he is, in my opinion.1 point

It's highly probably that thousands of us have got it or already had it. Let's face it, if you have a bit of a cough and a mild cold do you rush to your doctor? No. If you called the dedicated lines in England with mild symptoms, you are told to stay at home, you aren't tested. The only country that has adopted a thorough testing process is South Korea. They've tested 140,000 so far and as a result the death rate works out at 0.76% there. Even then they haven't tested everyone as mentioned above, many with the milder symptoms won't get tested, so the actual death rate will be lower.1 point

People should go back and have a look at all the claims of getting the team right. 2 or 3 different teams a day,,, loads of riders wrong,,, Even I know the real reason for the BB issue,,, and also from day 1,,,but it's private and I'm not saying.1 point

The one at rye house was a brilliant line up. Well done to all the riders who are riding this time. And all the others who turned down the booking should take a look at themselves or not take out of the fund1 point

Peterborough obviously don't want to try to find a compromise that will suit all parties. Us BB holders are told in our terms and conditions that misuse of the badge can result in it being taken away. If, and I say if, staff were being abused the badge number should have been taken, it's on the front of the badge, and also the car reg and then report the incident to the appropriate Council. Also that particular BB number could have been banned from using disabled parking in future at Peterborough. Why should all BB holders tarnished due to the actions of one person. As someone else said all badge holders could also be told they will have to wait for a bit longer to exit the car park. As for the excuse of people walking about and car movement etc how do people get to their cars in the main car park - fly - there is the same chance of an accident there as anywhere else.1 point

I've nothing but admiration for what Tai has achieved in speedway, but his book is terrible. I've read loads of speedway books down the years and the Simon Wigg book is my favourite, and the only one that has moved me to tears.1 point

You clearly have an accurate profile of the greyhound "industry". I use the word advisedly. I own a grey. Actually he isn't 100% thoroughbred and he wasn't a racer (no tattoos). Probably a traveller owned hare coarser. The point is, that I have become acutely aware of the darker side of the racing world. Of course there are good trainers and many of them see their responsibility extending beyond the dog's useful racing life. But the significant minority that treat their dogs as commodities, to be discarded when they are no longer fast enough, cannot be ignored. Greyhounds that escape the racing world alive, are often timid in the extreme. I know, I've met many. Given a caring environment, many come round and demonstrate their true nature. And, at the risk of repeating myself, you will not meet a kinder, more gentle, more loving creature on God's good Earth.1 point
