  1. Correct, a simple error quickly amended. Given the standard of grammar, punctuation and general content of your posts I'm surprised you're so quick to criticise others.......

  2. Can only echo everyone else, happy retirement He was my least favourite rider of all time tbh but hes a 4x world champ. Cant fault that. But could he have not waited one more day to announce it. Yesterday was a day to celebrate danny ayres life but ended up everyone talking about hancock. Made it all about himself. Pretty selfish

  3. Ive seen both brothers regularly since they started at Newcastle. Ive always thought that Steve would be the better of the two Richie did a good job until his injury last season. I am confident that Steve will have an even better season this time round. No worries about Steve for me.

  4. Baffled by this. Jack Chiswell died in 2001 when he was 93 years of age!!! Certainly not around in 2019 when he would be 111 years old. Take a rest Gustix you’re posting a lot of incorrect things recently.

  5. The sheer hypocrisy of certain sections of the media regarding her passing is stunning, the same organisations and individuals that where having a go at her are now spouting sympathy about her death

  6. Well thanks to storm Dennis track work tomorrow at brough has been cancelled... I'll post next date in plenty of time for when we are back in cheers

  7. I would have Steve in any team I know he had a bad year last season, may have been the club he was riding for? But he is a top rider in the championship

  12. He has averaged over 7.3 since 2014. Thats pretty good for success and bar 2014 and 2019 he has been closer to 8.5. I think thats pretty good really.

  16. Pretty much every track staff job at Peterborough over the years, main team sponsor of two Clubs while not promoting, Promoter in all three leagues, at three (four if you count the Bees and Storm separately) different Clubs, three times at Peterborough with three different co-promoters, and a stint as a reserve member of the Management Committee - I’d say my achievements in the sport are considerably better than yours.....

  17. BIRMINGHAM have added Chris Roynon to their track team for 2020. The former rider and promoter will advise and assist currant track curators Onny Butler and Mick Coleman at Perry Barr. Roynon has a wealth of experience and having moved back to the Midlands from Cornwall last year he was a regular at Birmingham near the end of the 2019 season. The father of former Brummie Adam Roynon has known team boss Laurence Rogers for a long time and worked with him at Plymouth . Rogers believes his addition to the Perry Barr backroom staff is important. “Chris knows all about track preparation and that will be a bonus to Onny and Mick," he said. "He is loaning us a blade that he has bought that will be of great benefit to us in track work and has a tractor we can use if we need it too. "With the new shale we sourced last year the track prep team are getting down to getting the Perry Barr circuit in tip-top condition for the new season. "His addition to the team is important and a big bonus to us .”

  19. Berge maybe although I’m not convinced by him. Only other out of that list that you could guarantee would be better than Ulrich is summers and he’s nearer a 5 than a 4.

  20. I'm only saying what some riders have said to me. Like I've said I think the better the track preparation the better the racing will be.

  21. They will never be forgotten as long as someone keeps starting threads about them......John Hyam, you ask ? I think he has disappeared with the Atom Car somewhere here's a previous one

  22. I think he speaks alot of sense in my opinion but perhaps you couldn't care about anyone's opinion apart from your own!

  24. IMO yes, I think Worrall will do more than a good job for Poole this season.

  25. Considering it was a working day and valentines day, the turnout was cracking. From Riders,Fans, ex riders, officials, friends, family, media. I left late afternoon but party in Danny's honour went on all night, just search facebook for some of the riders "singing" attempts at karaoke... lol sure Danny had a smile all day long.

  26. It'd be good to see Worrall back to where he was, he really did look like he could kick on til he was fenced in 2018. It's a shame it didn't work for him at Newcastle but it'd be good for Britain to have another decent rider in the mix.

  27. Steve did a telephone interview at the fans quiznight in which he confirmed that all the metal work has been removed from his leg and he felt 'whole' again and better than for some time. Fitness and diet regime in full flow and he's raring to go.

  28. One of the best to ever throw his leg over a Speedway bike. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. Was intrigued to see if Greg could have mixed it still this season but it wasn’t to be, some things are more important, family being one of them. Hope he has a happy retirement.

  31. It's one of those TBH. If you pick a rider to win outright, the odds can be short. But he can have some bad rounds and still win the title. But with round winners you can pick a rider on form or who has a good record on a certain track, but if the have a bad one the bet is gone. It can't be recovered. It's whatever you prefer at the end of the day.. Each to their own.

  32. No doubt he was rapidly improving but had a nasty knock and hasn’t been same since sometimes riders take an injury free season to get back into it, theres every chance he could average 9 plus next season.

  35. If you take out the doubling up/down you probably couldn’t fill seven teams. Yes the fall from grace is dramatic hence the powers that be should start to re-build the sport from the bottom and forget Poland etc. Those days when British speedway was a force to be reckoned with are for now, long gone. They should be encouraging riders at all levels and let teams without home tracks compete in the NDL. What is the harm if it is unearthing new talent. Get as many teams as possible named and race matches on a 4TT basis but with one rider from each team in each race over 20 heats. Make it interesting by starting on green light, no tapes and no exclusions for offences. Just handicap the offending rider by the starting position with 10, 20 or 30 mtrs handicap depending on the offence. Just do something different and stop the same old same old routine.

  36. Madsen’s round price will normally be above 3/1 unless he wins the first couple so it does make sense. I got him at 14s at Warsaw and I think 13/2 at Cardiff. Most meetings last year he was around 11/2 except at Toruń which his price was quite short if I remember correctly.

  40. They only need to be smoother and slicker to enable current bikes to go as fast as they can and give the rider the easiest ride. It does nothing for the racing.

  41. I think we could get away with rough tracks before the bikes turned into full throttle skidding missiles. I've seen some horrors over the years but we got by.
