He doesn't though. They still pay on entry like everyone else. Who knows what it's all about because the reasons and lack of effort to deal with those reasons mentioned in a less draconian fashion don't stack up. What we do know is that for as long as the club still runs it doesn't think too much about fans that are inconvenient for it, so time for fans to be of the same mind perhaps. Following Frost/Mahoney and the promotion of Rathbone (of which Johnson was part of the management team) I remember fans saying that they had their club back. Well that didn't last long did it?4 points

Todd Kurtz, Jack Holder, Kyle Howarth, Sam Masters, Nicolai Klindt, Brady Kurtz, Josh Grajczonek, Charles Wright, Dan Bewley, Rasmus Jensen, Nick Morris, Chris Holder, Jason Doyle, Rory Schlein, Troy Batchelor and Peter Kildemand. Should be a cracking meeting for Todd, what a line up!1 point

It's not some great adventure to overcome like climbing Everest. You're just looking for solutions to a club self imposed situation with as much empathy as whoever came up with the bright idea in the first place to exclude disabled fans from their long standing, helpful parking privileges which I'm sure that anyone affected greatly appreciated. Any regular will have seen the buggy or a buggy so it's no secret. They used it to pick up, amongst other things, the speakers that sat in front of the stand before we got a decent PA system. Other staff can be seen driving around in it, or one of them at times, as could Neil when inpost, hence why he suggested it I guess. Useful in those isolated situations but it's a crap idea here when the sensible solution is obvious to anyone.1 point

Personally I think that Billy was better on the World stage and Phil at league level....just my opinion. I think that the rift first took hold during an Australian Final when the two clashed on track and Phil was excluded. However Phil was most upset when Billy took his own life and had regrets from an interview I recall.1 point

I guess that if a new problem was identified and somebody was trying to help then it may be possible to be patient, but in this case they had a system for the disabled that worked fine for decades, those supporters haven't been given a good reason why they have been turfed out of the stadium, and through no fault of their own they lose their independence and have to queue in the cold and dark for a buggy ride - you're all heart!1 point

They tend to water a bare track too often which causes most of the falls it’s like riding on ice1 point

I think the secret would have been to use less powerful engines as the tracks are smaller and the demand for raw power much diminished but size tracks was probably as much an issue as anything else and there was little could be done about that . The rider in question learnt his trade by doing dougnuts on a concrete slab( 100 cc bike) with his father putting cones in various places to improve his ability to handle small tracks and learn throttle control which he said was the most important discipline of all .1 point

If you want to point the finger about fixture planning, you should try pointing it at a number of 'Northern' Clubs for not agreeing to Poole doing any Friday/Sat/Sun 'northern tour' trips!! Poole were more than willing with many Poole fans awaiting the opportunity but.....................??!1 point

The tracks that are better prepared do produce better racing ie, bell vue redcar, scunthorpe ect. Poole did use to be good racing so don't you think going back to that would be better, then it was better prepared1 point

NEC Event late 70's from memory drew massive crowd but surface was rubber with slick tyres (again from memory). There may have been a chance at that time (golden era big crowds especially in Midlands - Brummies / Wolves / Heathens / Bees / Lions etc) to have created a shale track but technology at the time was not there. Doubt it would make money now unless they could try to tag on to one of the big MX shows at NEC. Telford was novelty as you say. Wasn't there one in Brighton for a few years? New Years actual meeting at Newport was far better idea!1 point

Indoor speedway - Micky mouse type racing, only done to stimulate interest during winter months IMO. Seems to have died a death thankfully. Small amount I watched when televised it was woeful.1 point

I think it is due to reasons I mentioned earlier. We know also that once the oracle has spoken ears and minds become closed to any dissent .1 point

Increase the difficulties and organisation to get in and out anyway and then double them.1 point

Im going to take a deep breath and ignore that comment before i type something that lands me a ban. Encouragement is that Woodward should develop his skill set more rather than winding the throttle wide open and trying to stay aboard, it will benefit him and his physical health much more in the long term.1 point

Whilst a pain for viewing the air fence at Rye was/is a far better design than most. Far fewer posts and held by cables etc still allowing it to give to an extent (not the full roll down the bank on turns 3/4 but closer) and certainly 1000% safer than an airbag strapped to an armco barrier.1 point

If your post is a pathetic attempt at taking some kind of moral high ground then its just that, pathetic. The passing of Danny Ayres is a tragedy and we as fans have paid our respects by posting messages of condolence on here and other parts of social media, of course there will be other on here closer to the Ayres family who have paid their tributes personally. My post was a perfectly reasonable answer to a perfectly reasonable question posted the other day. How ever hard, the management at both Scunthorpe and Ipswich will need to sign a rider, when that will happen of course is up to each club.1 point

We were blessed with the old fence at Rye. While the introduction of air fences as mandatory has been a revelation at many tracks the old fence at Rye was probably safer for riders in all honesty. It would give on impact and there was then a run off behind it, whereas with an air fence despite a cushion there is still a more sudden stop on impact. There are many incidents that I can recall that would have probably been worse had an air fence been in place. As mentioned in other posts the air fence did also make viewing worse at Rye, we do have to accept the times change however and air fences being mandatory is certainly a positive thing on the whole.1 point

I'm sure Rob and the less bitter, normal speedway supporters, will think nothing of team building until poor Danny Ayres is finally in his resting place.1 point

This has been posted by David Ayres on Facebook. Danny's funeral on the 14th of February Go to Mildenhall Stadium which will be open about 12 noon. There will be a play area for the children so families welcome. Danny will be brought in about 1pm and go round the track escorted by the riders. Then on to the Crematorium for 2pm, Those with small children can watch the funeral streamed live to the Stadium as best not to take them to the Crematorium . Party time at the Stadium afterwards. Fish and chip shop will be open and the bar. Music about 7pm. All welcome to give him a send off. This is a celebration not a wake, so colourful clothing please. Danny's favourite colour is pink. All welcome.1 point

It does seem a bit excessive, especially the NL price, unfortunately think the NL crowds will be very small because of it, I would have thought the total income from charging say £10/11 would be greater than £14 with a bigger gate, but higher than average prices have always been the norm with Len, and to be honest the Champs should be £17 really.1 point
