You can't prove Madsen has improved or would increase his average as he hasn't ridden here since riding for Poole.4 points

Fellow poole fans. We race in the championship now. This is the wrong thread. Good luck to all 7 premiership sides.3 points

What must be considered when assessing Harris is that his home track last season was Ipswich, a track he is well known to hate so a move to Peterborough, a track he is known to like will make a huge difference.3 points

HGould enjoyed your right up but how do you have such widely differing views es on the Thompson twins and Jordan Palin. All three had outstanding seasons with Jordan being the top of the 3 on averages . Yet you believe the twins shouldn’t be underestimated and Jordan will struggle personally I think all 3 will do ok.3 points

Although he should be banned from driving if he can get from Ipswich stadium to stansted in half an hour..... more like an hour and twenty!3 points

We think we do, but wait for it to be confirmed. NKI is the one I would like, but doubt we will get.2 points

Certainly something I and others had suggested many years ago. I'd like it taken further though that season tickets allow all holders to other tracks for £10 admission regardless, across the top 2 divisions. For local derbies it could generate superb atmospheres of years gone by once again2 points

Worrall is an 8.5 rider in this league. And isnt that far removed from a 9.13 rider in the league. At 3 he could easily be an 8.5 by end of the season if not higher.2 points

Homer may not have been "bricking it", but I bloody was. Until Stewart, produced that ride in ht14. LOL.2 points

I'd also argue that Thorsell was on the crest of a wave before that injury. If people are going to start bringing in external circumstances and variables then so will I. Jacob would be an out and out number now if it wasn't for that crash. We can all play the game!2 points

One thing I'd say about Redcar is that we don't have a massive home advantage as we have a very fair track and most visiting teams ,and riders, ride it well. For Redcar to have a good season we need Jordan and Kasper to pick up a few more points away from home. We relied on Nathan to pick up extra points from reserve and I'm not sure we can expect the same from the 2 young lads this year. Some strong looking teams but things will change a lot during the season and as always injuries will play a big part in deciding things.2 points

Ooh I don't know, I've done it in the past in just under and just over the hour from Felixstowe...and I'm a boring driver who sticks to the limits. Half an hour though is slightly too quick.....2 points

Credit to the Edinburgh promotion a long awaited return for NL speedway north of the border. Here's hoping both sets of supporters give this there full support.2 points

Maybe Joe has been in the plan for a while, but with team building plans being subject to changes, maybe he'll get his chance at a later date.2 points

the first 5 names are....1-Alfie bowtell - 9.24?2- Henry Atkins -5.863- Richard Andrews - 6.55 4- ?5- Nathan Stoneman - 8.22 6- Sheldon Davies 3.00?7- ?Personally think what a superb start to team building ! Believe this totals 32.87 leaving 6.13 potentially for team building ? Read more: http://plymouthdevils.proboards.com/thread/10068/national-league-team-2020#ixzz68I9OMMy62 points

Nope. See Peterborough thread. I don't think he will be as good as people think. 8 year hiatus, Multiple big injuries, No longer in his prime. Reputation doesn't mean anything in any sport. Also contemplated retirement after one of those serious big injuries.1 point

I understand that Kings Lynn like some other teams are keeping riders from last season with a view to help fans relate to their team and promote continuity but normally it is about riders improving and can't see that happening with Kerr and TJ.1 point

Most teams will have better reserves than Swindon and Sheffield, I feel they are too top heavy, reserves are very important and you need at least one good one.1 point

When you have genuine No1 like Cook, it will take bit of pressure of Wells who is a genuine 2nd heat leader ,Nicol is an improver IMO ,the reserves will take some matching in most meetings,Jensen in particular ,any body who seen him riding at No4 on his debut season last year has to be impressed and he will be reserve.Good strength in depth Team. With six Teams they will make play offs for sure. PS Any under performers won’t last long.1 point

Ermmmm ..... track won't be prepared as grippy this year as last...... promotion in talks with the other Eastern promoters re offer on away meetings for season ticket holders ...... Dale would have liked to be team manager in 2020 but once Buster declared he wanted to take a back seat had to take on the promoting roll ...... Lewi is doing an Evening with Lewi Kerr' on Jan 13th 2020 and has an interesting story to tell about his life before speedway, pretty eventful after too! .... Dale is working with Thomas on a personal level as well as with the Stars ......1 point

I actually think the league gained some strength last year Steve, every side apart from Peterborough ( who were unlucky team got scuppered) could all be competitive on there day.Doyley's average shows it is not easy set ups so important these days actually over a period i think the Pawlicki's and like might return to these shores.I am no fan of Pedersen but i am really looking forward to seeing him back and it will be great if he can get to a really consistent level and push Doyle he is capable even now.1 point

Your right. The stats don't lie. And whether you'd like to believe it or not, they have improved. The margin of improvement is not the debate. I'm finding it difficult to understand why certain people are having such a challenge with this. It really is very simple stuff. Foundation level.1 point

Redcar look the team to beat.............top 3 head and shoulders above any other sides....Stewart could kick on this season......Andersen solid enough If the reserves do ok then the team to beat in my eyes Poole will be strong enough and their big home advantage will steer them in to the play offs depending on if they sign Ellis , if not i cant see much improvement from King and Worrall Leicester and Glasgow to make the top 41 point

Looking at the way other teams have come together, I am think we have a mid table side and if we scrape into the play offs then anything is possible. Bacon, Gilkes, Ledwith, and Starke already know the fast way around CP so hopefully we will be pretty hard to beat from day 1 at home. And on paper thier are 5 or 6 teams we may be a threat to on the road. One thing is for certain, Good Friday cant come quick enough.1 point

Says who? You? I'm pretty sure that's just a matter of opinion. You can't argue with statistics like Steve has posted. They are not subjective. Whatever the circumstances, however small the margin, they have increased there averages. That is simple mathematics and not something one could argue against.1 point

Neither has improved at all over four years , the very slight average increase is cancelled out by the league being weaker now than 4 years ago.1 point

If Gappmaier can produce some of his home form on his travels, Berwick would be more than capable of getting some away points.1 point

".......since they won the little knockout trophy at the end of 2012 when the Diamonds were LEAGUE winners " The "Knockout Cup" is the ONLY trophy I know of that we race for . Since the play offs were introduced, everyone knew what they were racing for, The Winners Trophy & that is what all records will show. However, I do agree that the League winners should receive something for their achievement & the playoff winners receive their trophy & medals.1 point

King has nothing to do with Sheffield. Not an asset so it’s nothing to do with them. Nielsen has been at Scunny most years. Had a few prem tracks but been at Scunny most of the time. Also that’s every team bar Eastbourne has riders from other nations. Poole will most likely Have 5 Brits and 1 more who is based in the U.K. Once again we haven’t done much wrong in fact same as most clubs or better in fact. Edinburgh have 3 Brits Glasgow Have 2 Brits.1 point

I appreciated hearing your views and fully accept why Poole & Newcastle were not included, I'm expecting you to update your list when each is known. The flak you are getting appears to be more due to part of your name as opposed to your comments1 point

Oops. I touched a nerve there didn't I?! Incidentally I would never say anything about your father as i've never come across him. You however are a totally different kettle of fish!! Anyone would think Poole have never ridden 2nd division before?! And yes I do remember the 80's very well especially my visits to Rye House!! Sorry to have disturbed your after lunch nap.1 point
