Only surprise is Jordan Jenkins - not one of the 2 pointers mentioned and I know very little about him. Love the top 5 - if Kasper and Jordan S push on as they could then this is a very good Bears team.. Good team, Good promotion, Good track. Good time for Speedway on Teesside.2 points

Talking a fun in Speedway, on one of my early trips to Eastbourne, I saw some Newcastle fans presenting Dave Lanning who was introducing the riders a box of Trill for his Budgies.2 points

Only in Carlisle within the city walls with a bow and arrow. A separate adjudication is required for Berwick to prevent people shooting themselves ;-) Enough politics.2 points

Championship should take priority on good Friday as it’s outside of the chosen race nights for the Premiership.2 points

Jenkins is five years younger and has been involved in league racing since 2016, Phillips started in 2012. Jenkins has more potential IMO.1 point

Absolutely correct. The heat leaders, are top notch, but I fancy Jordan Stewart, to go to a whole new level, this season. Kasper is capable, of beating a lot of heat leaders, (especially around the MPA). The reserves are both racers and if they give, a decent account of themselves, that side will go a long way.1 point

Similar to Leicester, but better because they have three heatleaders at the top of their game (whereas Morris and Howarth have stalled), two improving second strings (although an on form Proctor and Perks could blow them away), and Lawlor who is well ahead of the Thompsons atm, with Jenkins at their level.1 point

Could do worse. Has been recommended by Dick Barrie in Aussie who also pointed some UK teams to go with Allen/Etheridge & Pickering in last few years. He also said mid Nov was ready for a UK contract but liSted every Chmp team imoji as to who it might be. Barrie said in SS that he has a style rarely seen on the bikes these days but would incl him in any team. Personally I would love to see MG come over as seems probably the best young talent at 19 and signed a new 2 year contract with Leszno Nursery Club after impressing in a few matches for them last season on flying visit. I see this boy having a future but intrigued as to why he missed his state U21 Champ today as was initially due to ride. Unless carrying a bit of an injury as missed his last rides in a meeting not long ago having been excluded from his last completed having won twice and second once. Maybe a fall and injured ??. Unfortunately only a reserve for the Aussie main Champs over 5 rounds BUT good chance of winning the U21 title in Jan which unfortunately only a single meeting. Either Would do well in the reserve slot with Macdonald looking at most of the Champ reserve pairings.1 point

Good move for Ryan to conquer a small technical track like Wolves to move his career along as can already ride the bigger tracks.1 point

In my 48 years in speedway one of the best groups of supporters for having fun and taking the rise out of the opponents (and me) have been Middlesbrough/Redcar fans. Poole will have to re-learn that we have fun in tier 2(BL2/NL/PL/CL)and leave the nastiness (on the whole) to the upper 'elite'. One reason I've always preferred this level - it's competitive but still fun. Some of the Poole fans who don't remember the 80s won't know what's hit them ;-) Here's an example. Local derby Rye House v Canterbury. Recent tensions on track with Barney Kennett 'putting it about' at Kingsmead. As he makes his way to the pits he is accosted by a Rockets supporter, who presents him with a large lollipop "Because he's such a big baby). The fun is rapidly running out in speedway. Time to lighten up and have some fun. Educating Pirates could be fun in 20.1 point

btw, reading these posts MANSE is a proper sh1thouse, likes every single derogatory post about Workington and sends a 'confused' like at every somewhat positive one Bet he's one of those losers on the 4th bend at Glasgow, who shout "that's the way to do it" thinking it's hilarious and then give hand gestures to opposing riders... @MANSE1 point

On the other hand, we will be rebuilding Hadrian's Wall, and reviving the law which said that Scots could be shot on sight.1 point

Surely speedway riders will be treated the same as any other foreign job applicants, unless there is some exemption for sportsmen? They’ll have to satisfy the new Australian style points system. Presumably meaning there has to be a vacancy in this Country that UK nationals cannot fill and the job must pay at least £30k.1 point

i think you might find it will be Poole v Somerset, could depend on stadium availability or other factors?1 point

Fairly sure it was 2001. Can't be bothered to amend Wiki - It's too complicated these days!!!1 point

Not at all, I've been to over 100 meetings at Central Park, and I've seen some excellent racing. At NL level there is always a vast difference in the abilities of the riders on show. This does mean some races are always going to be processional.1 point

And a main reason , for me at least, why my £s are no longer VFM. "That wait and see if I make a better start next time" from too many riders .1 point

As a London based Speedway fan all I can say is that Workington have more right to be in this section than Poole have in the Premiership section! Poole Premiership 2020 is 111 pages and counting Poole Championship 2020 is 64 pages and counting The two threads should have been amalgamated at the time of the AGM but still have not been.1 point

You dismissed the examples you were given so you were already proven incorrect. As per usual. Glad we’ve cleared that up. More and more names being added but still in denial. Blue tint as per.1 point

I’m disappointed he didn’t return to Lynn, one of the few who can pass there nowadays and a solid second string / strong reserve.1 point

I thought Cook filled the Puk void quite well last season while recognising he had one or two dodgy meetings and that he can probably improve in 2020 with more meetings at Lynn.1 point

The Ben Fund meeting usually precedes the season start of 15th March. It prevents fixture clashes (both UK and overseas), riders are keen to get on track and fans are keen to see action. That combination should ensure a good line-up, large crowd and lots of money for the SRBF.1 point
