Commiserations to Ipswich - they did better than anyone predicted at the start of the season - not the cannon fodder I predicted. Congratulations Swindon Robins 2019 Premiership Speedway champions6 points

Congratulations to Swindon- a fine side head and shoulders above the rest of the league in the end5 points

You can say that as many times as you want but they got there on merit beating everyone else to a playoff spot and knocking Poole out in the semi Can’t wait for Poole to drop down a tier next season, hopefully you and the other Poole trolls can head off elsewhere on the forum too5 points

Don't you mean that YOU want to see? It is better to have a happy team, riding to a constructive budget than pandering to the demands of 'fans' who have no real connection to the real world?5 points

While 10 weeks is to short a season, 20 week season would be a realistic target. What is baffling, especially in the Premiership is the lack of fixtures in July & August. The months kids are off school and more free family time the Speedway season seems to go into shutdown. If anything, the BSPA needs to make these two months in the year are jam packed with fixtures.5 points

People having pops at Ipswich riders tonight i don't get.Any team that would have gone to Swindon tonight would have got hammered. You just have to suck it up and admit Swindon are head and shoulders above any team this season. Well done Swindon on winning the league title.4 points

If Iversen was brought back to beat Ellis Perks, he's done his job tonight..4 points

Swindon got lucky. Don’t know why their fans haven’t admitted it. If it hadn’t rained at 7 pm in the first leg of the semi at WR, we would have demolished Ipswich by at least 20, meaning it would have been us in the final. Then Matt would have made a few more bumps and Doyle would have struggled along with the other gating tarts. Poole winning 58-32 and cruising it tonight. I know it. Rosco knows it. Would have been title number 9.4 points

What do want the final to be ? you want Swindon to make it close ? Maybe Man city in the fa cup final should beat Watford by less goals . brain dead post .3 points

Got to be in it to win it.... Swindon could only beat what was in front of them in the final. Just like what Ipswich did in the semis3 points

I would think the total opposite regarding the neutrals. Many would go for any other team ahead of Poole. Anyway Ipswich are there on merit,so they deserve to be at Swindon tonight. Not Poole or any other team.Whatever the score might be Ipswich deserve it.3 points

Shame that won't happen as he's headed elsewhere!! The fact that Josh chose to ride on a Polish licence in 2019 has absolutely sweet FA to do with what licence he'll use in 2020! So many so-called 'experts' - both from other clubs as well as Poole - on Poole's situation clearly haven't got a frigging clue. At least all of Poole's several other sponsors are all in favour plus a fair proportion of fans. Bring it on. 2 signings already contracted i'm hearing. The only down side for many Poole fans is possibly having to find a new team manager!!3 points

Just goes to show how poor Poole were then.3 points

Harris is irrelevant. He’s been a massive disappointment entertainment wise. My point is about Heeps. I maybe repeating myself, but every time I’ve got off my backside at Foxhall this season to applaud, it’s been because of Cameron Heeps. I genuinely couldn’t care less if his average decreases slightly, he’s still make my team because I love watching him. I want the team to be successful too of course I do, so look for some improvers elsewhere. I don’t think Heeps is done improving yet either, there’s more to come from him IMO.3 points

Ive set up a little separate thread here for all you bitter Poole fans to have a little chat all on your own about the Grand Final.................simply because some of you are clogging up the main threads discussing how woeful Ipswich were in not trying last night You can sit on here and discuss how poor the final is without Poole in it all by yourselves and let the Ipswich and Swindon fans, who have a mutual respect for each other, carry on with the final chat Maybe next season, if you dont pick the 'easy' team in the semi final, and you have riders that actually put in effort, then you can be a part of a Grand Final thread again...............3 points

I'm going to buck the trend and I say I enjoyed the 2019 season. Berwick were predicted to finish bottom or second bottom and for the second year running punched above their weight and narrowly missed out on the playoffs. The promotion at Berwick worked hard with different offers throughout the season. If you bought a season ticket early, it worked out at £13 a meeting. Several meetings were discounted during the season. The riders did their bit at the end of the meetings by going into the crowd and they were swarmed by kids wanting photos and speaking to riders. Racing at Berwick comes in for criticism and the track is not ideally shaped. The speed of the modern bikes doesn't help IMO. But there were some good meetings there last year, the final meeting of the season, the double header with Edinburgh and especially Glasgow, was the best atmosphere I have seen at Berwick for a long, long time. Anyway, I still enjoy my Saturday nights. There is a group of friends who meet every week, we laugh and watch the speedway. Roll on March 2020.3 points

Yes, I take your point, but Poole have pulled far too many stunts, like signing Miedzinski despite Swindon’s objections, pinching Klindt on a bargain average, keeping Newman as a protected draft pick, and the Swindon meeting EFs and Joe Screen injury pretence to manipulate averages. Sharp practice for short term success may appeal but if it pushes your opponents closer to season on season losses, it eventually comes home to roost.3 points

How about a certain Mr Rossiter “allowing” Pawlicki to miss about 12 matches so he stayed at reserve all season??2 points

I have said it for ages any rider with a premiership average over 7.00 or NL average below 7.00 should not be allowed to ride Championship . I think it would keep the league more competitive and costs down and then making it a viable £15 night out .2 points
