Wolves are the only team that I think are capable of stopping the rocking robins - if they make the playoffs IMHO.3 points

Surely a manager has to be a good communicator. Sam bumbles through almost every sentence. How the he’ll he is on tv is beyond me3 points

Great news. The supporters club have done great work in the past organising tours and nights and donating towards riders' costs. The club will be much stronger going forward with their help.3 points

I’m not comfortable about Sheffield being hammered for dropping a British rider, they have to pick the seven who they believe give them the best chance of winning meetings regardless of nationality.2 points

It is very interesting to get the various thoughts on this matter from the I don’t want any tv meetings group ,Then you have the Let’s stick with BT e.g I am happy with what I am getting now group , Then the Let’s see what Eurosport are prepared to offer & get rid of Pearson and Tatum squad and then finally the bring it back on Sky sports with Tony Millard and Jonathan Green & Suzi Perry this of course cant happen sadly. It appears that this is not fully decided yet and the good thing for British Speedway is that there is a couple of offers available to the sport. I just hope that they are being advised by the correct people who know broadcasting. My worry with Eurosport although pan Europe is that they are bidding on other rights as well so Speedway’s a filler in case can’t get anything better and in 2020 they will not want to know Speedway during July and August due to the Olympics which they already have to broadcast .2 points

It is not getting past the tapes that is a problem for Sarjeant. It is going under them rather than over them that is his problem.2 points

NKI was Lynn bound if Lambert had been ruled out for the season. When this didn’t happen Buster, out of decency to Puk found him a home at one of his other places of work. I don’t see what the problem is. If NKI had wanted to start the season he would have been at Lynn, he didn’t.2 points

PL is represented with all 16 riders: 5 Ipswich 3 Peterborough, Wolves 2 Swindon, King's Lynn 1 Belle Vue 0 Poole Should rename it The Double Up Riders Championship..2 points

Come on Steve.. You said Poole didn't stand much of a chance tonight, when some, including me and the bookies thought otherwise . You don't have to play down Pooles chances in almost every meeting ya know Swindon's top 5 clicking now don't mean they will in the play offs. Look at Klindt tonight. People were saying his form/ scores where dropping, and he does that tonight. Theres a little way to go yet. Poole/ Swindon final for me.1 point

So, Ippo lose again, if swindon beat them in their final home match then by my reckoning that makes it interesting for us stars. Win at Wolves and our final two home matches, puts us in with a sniff of playoffs :-)1 point

Utter shambles, if we're still in this league next season, none of these riders barring Charles Wright should be back, it's pathetic. No heart, no effort and no doubt we will be sold the same crap from the management.1 point

I noticed that a lot of these objections carry the same content, so as you say, comes from combined anti-greyhound group. They all go on to say they support the redevelopment for speedway purposes, but we know it's housing/greyhound stadium owner money funding the changes if they ever materialise1 point

I have checked several sources and there are two meetings which I have found different results for: Fleetwood 34 Edinburgh 49 on 08/05 Yarmouth 41 Exeter 41 on 29/06. The Speedway Researcher Yarmouth file carries the explanation: Note -Above is amended result as Reg Morgan was placed third in heat 14 (but had fallen and his score was amended to 0).1 point

If that was true, then no one would complain. It’s the foul whiff of favouring one team over another that gets to Tigers’ supporters, who are getting cheesed off being sold bs when they can see that all that is happening is pre-sale profit maximising. At their expense1 point

Anyone still interested can still register their details as there is the option to expand the numbers - and the prizes - in future. Name, email and a contactable telephone number via the Berwick Bandits Supporters Club Facebook page, email club@berwickspeedway.com or I'll have a sheet to fill in at the Box Office table at the remaining home meetings. Come on 56, come on 56, come on 56!!!!1 point

Very similar to TK from a Coventry viewpoint and potentially being a World Champion. Charismatic, Dependable and capable of beating anyone in the world day in day out. Happy Retirement AJ1 point

I'm sorry , but when you enter a competition surely you want to try your best to try and win it . I dont get this argument when a team shows a wee bit of ambition the " win at all cost " accusation comes out . I really don't understand that way of thinking .1 point

another reason why some of these promising youngsters "Take a break" . They stumble into speedway from other motorcycle sports which are basicly amateur , MX ,grasstrack , trials , all weekend sport , initially supported by family ,but when that bubble bursts and it starts to impact on daddies work and the family budget , they decide to take a break , once they are outside the sport they realise what it actually takes to commit to speedway , and it's just too big a hurdle to return1 point

New Cross Ranger...there's a name to bring back my memories of early post war Speedway in London. Used to love to go down the Old Kent Rd to the "Frying Pan" when the Hammers rode there. Eric Chitty was a master of New Cross, but the greatest of all was the king of balance, Ron Johnson. Very pleased that, like myself, you are still a keen fan. I now go every week to Sittingbourne Central Park as the Hammers are no more. I like the comfort and viewing, suits my tired old legs ! Not a bad young team either !1 point

So . . a confession from Mr R that televised speedway DOES affect attendances trackside I’ve said this all along, and I still see no benefit to the sport in having league matches televised live in the UK It’s not as if it’s a great product to advertise to the wider public in the current format Much better would be a carefully edited weekly highlights package - just show the races, and sensible interviews post-meeting instead of the gap-filling chats as at present Put together a package that just might attract new spectators and ex-attendees to the tracks1 point

Poland who might just know a bit about how to run the sport haven’ t ever picked riders such as Protasiewcz and Hampel as track reserves !! They have always picked youngsters to give them an experience of the big stage- just shows the light years difference between the sport in the 2 countries !!!1 point
