  1. He is one hundred percent correct though. the way Ward behaves himself on social media just makes himself look even more of a knobhead than he looked before his crash. Some of the comments regarding other riders are disgraceful. The guy is a complete w@nker.

  3. Worth pointing out that the rugby team have moved out due to the high financial cost of playing at Odsal. Would Speedway be financially viable?

  4. Well done Edinburgh all but ends Eastbourne's faint play off hopes. Which is a shame.

  6. Yip Tigers and Monarchs on the same night finish the season with a bang. Just imagine if it had been Eastbourne and Glasgow double header lol. SAS officers in the pits , Helicopter hovering over stadium, Tyson Fury in the pits with Cookie lol. Little Billy and his red flag surrounded by armed guards lol.

  7. Shame he does, because if I remember correctly nicki was front and centre raising money for him after his accident. Short memory Mr ward has.

  10. Looked after him so well that they binned him after winning the league!!!!

  11. Comparing Darcy and Cook is irrelevant. Cook ignored red flags, he shoulder barged an official (all be it after he stepped into Cooks path), he also threw at least one punch. Few, if any come out of this with credit. I hope Cooks ban isn't over turned, it would make the whole thing a mockery.

  12. I think when Porsing said he brought 4 Polish engines over , he misspelt it. He meant to say he brought 4 polished engines over, now he doesn't want to get them dirty.

  13. It will be a fabulous night if not for the banter between Edinburgh and Glasgow fans We should have Edinburgh fans cheering Berwick in the Glasgow match and Glasgow cheering in the Edinburgh match not going to worry about curfews and delays what will be will be

  14. Not sure how anyone can defend his behaviour to be honest. A total natural on a bike, a waste of space off it.

  15. Not getting involved in this, but i'm now blocked on twitter by Darcy, Holder and now Cook. Although only Darcy sent me an offensive private message regarding my Mum. Nice guy in real life tho i'm sure.

  16. You don't like him because he acts stupid. Yet everyone on the south coast of Poole absolutely loved Darcy Ward. Forgetting his talent, that kid was a proper d!©[<. Craig is very tame compared

  17. Superb meeting and a terrific advert for both handicapping and Isle of Wight Speedway. Some brilliant racing, capped by a stunning 6 rider final in which the massively impressive Joe Lawlor came through the pack to win. Throw in a top class track ( no blue line, no dust and racing lines) the wonderful sight of youngsters enjoying themselves hugely and even having races of their own and it was a top night. Makes me think that Speedway might just have a chance after all.

  18. I can only assume this is a wind-up. Please tell me you've actually seen the 2min long video where it shows him getting off the bike and getting provoked by Paul Dugard and then punching him which led to the rest of the pile ins.

  21. Porsing is not a bad rider. His previous scores at Lynn , and those seen abroad proves that. His 2 biggest problems are his gatting and grippy tracks, and unfortunately those are the main attributes required when racing for Lynn..... Probably, if the track was slicker, we would see a much improved performance from him... Hopefully he can prove his worth when we race on away tracks...

  23. Berwick has a curfew, racing between 6.30 and 9.30, most weeks there is a struggle to get one meeting within the curfew, let alone 2 meetings.

  28. All teams can have tough meetings, just like Poole getting beaten at home by Peterborough in May.

  29. That’s a good point. It’s a shame that all riders don’t use the same, unadulterated, factory supplied engines. There’s obviously a big gulf in earnings and equipment expenditure between your average British Leagues’ rider and those that ride internationally, especially in Poland. Shame we can’t have a level playing field on equipment so we can truly measure talent.

  30. Josh did have a spare bike, but said it was spinning up and not as good. Good to see he was received well in the conference by the Lynn fans. He had the balls to attend.

  35. When you build a so-called 'top heavy' team then your heat leaders should have better averages than any team built for 'strength in depth'! Swindon have a chance - not a strong chance imo - on Monday to go top of the league, but either way it should be a good meeting and the play-offs will be far better for having both Poole and Swindon qualifying. Still the Premiership table still looks mighty fine this morning!!

  37. Went last night for only the second time this season Yet again we were just awful out of the gate, consistently beaten to the first bend Ive no idea why we have carried on with Harris he is just awful. Made one gate and even then Batchelor passed him like he was standing still. KP looked woeful and Allen certainly struggled. But as that Pinny thing reminded me , you cant have riders out of form, well at the moment Allen, Lawson and KP are out of form and maybe low on confidence. Swindon proved why they are favourites for the league. A top 5 that no other side can match. Doyle and Batchelor cruised through the meeting never looked any chance of them being beaten. Musielek was fast and Jensen looks a find. Special mention for Ellis Perks.....his score did not reflect his riding, was on the pace in every race and looks a decent rider Nobody will want this side in the play offs , at this rate nobody will get close to them. Im hopeful that we can still sneak in but the management need to make changes or the season will just blow up totally We have 5 matches left...home and away v Swindon where we will get nothing from..................home and away v Poole where we could get a home win.............home v Peterborough which now becomes a must win match. That will leave us on 39 points meaning Wolves will need to get 10 points and with away trips to Belle Vue and Poole to come i cant see it. Looking at the matches left i can see Swindon maybe even getting top spot and then they would pick us. Ive been saying on here for a long time Swindon are the best side in the league with the best manager....looking good for the Robins

  38. Big buzz from the Island last night could be heard well across the country. Reports i have heard say that the line up, riders & track all delivered to produce an excellent night of entertainment. Virtually every race not decided until the final lap with plenty of passing and re-passing. Certainly huge merits for these types of meeting and the pure entertainment value they bring although it does need a racers track to make it work so not every club could do this as successfully.

  39. Great sentiments and 10 years ago maybe, but the Rugby have moved out because they can't afford it so there's no way Speedway will be able to afford it. I think the ideal use for Odsal will probably be landfill... it's the right shape

  40. Buster should have told Harris he's no longer a heat leader in this league and not Bjerre.

  41. People are discussing Cooks mental stability which isn’t speedway related either. However those actions have an effect on their speedway career. So completely comparable. Cook has the talent in Wards finger that Darcy possessed, so not even in the same sentence should they be compared. Sadly they both seem unhinged human beings which seems the only tenuous link.

  46. Lucky because you were losing all meeting and could have maybe should have lost. You had a full team and at home so should have won with a bit to spare.

  47. lmoa, Brilliant! The maths just get better.... all the riders are fiddling low averages lol. An 11 team league is harder than an 18 team league in terms of obtaining an average. There isn't a debate, it's a fact. A 7.00 assessed average suggests such an average is harder to obtain than when a 9.00 average is given. Again, it's not an 'opinion', it is fact. 9 is higher then 7.
