I’m sure Trees can fight her own battles but there needs to be a little bit more respect for her views. Nothing wrong with a it of positivity on quite a dark thread, provides a little bit of balance. Ridiculing her just isn’t on though just because others see things differently.5 points

Dedicated supporters who have been going for years suddenly stop going! Ever asked yourself why?5 points

1 minute. Open the pit gate, let riders and mechanics do what they like, but competitors have 60 seconds to back at the tapes.4 points

I wasn't trying to big up anything. I just wandered about and thought to myself that it was a pretty decent crowd compared to other meetings. I guessed at around 2000 - which is what you get at Basingstoke Ice Hockey. It was not stated as fact. Please accept my forgiveness if I over estimated the size of the crowd. I wasn't being deliberately positive. It was a mistake. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I know how annoying that can be. All I know is that I went to the back straight for a bit of peace and quiet only to find it infested with humans. Disgruntled, I returned back to the home straight, muttering about all those damn interlopers being in a place that is normally kept for quiet contemplation. The crowd last night was better than normal. Let's just leave it at that.4 points

In some ways I admire Trees for her unwavering support for Lynn, but I think her views would be taken more seriously if she did occasionally notice some of the negatives.4 points

But I do remember Batch guesting against Wolves riding for us and won the meeting for us.3 points

We get plenty of ridicule for having a differing opinion. It's open to all. When in my case, one man has destroyed my love of going home and away watching the Stars this 'all things rosy in the garden' angers me. Buster is in full control of King's Lynn and Peterborough and it ain't particularly going well is it? Fortunately for Ipswich, Chris Louis made sure he remains in control of all things Ipswich otherwise we'd of more likely than not had a melt down their too from fans. Buster is single handedly driving many many more away from the sport than brining them in through the turnstiles. I just don't see where the positives are in Speedway under his control. Under his tenure the future is declining at a rapid speed. There are just 2 positives in British Speedway right now and they're either end of the UK in Glasgow and Isle of Wight.3 points

In my case I have been to Kings Lynn this year, and living near Norwich, go to Mildenhall sometimes as well. The reason I'm on the Forum is I follow ALL speedway, not just Kings Lynn. I have followed the sport for 56 years, my first meeting being at the Firs in 1963. First went to Lynn in 1967 and went twice a week when the "Starlets" were running as well. Followed the Stars all over the UK and once went to Poole and back in the same day, returning in dense fog! Just because I don't go every week does that mean you think I shouldn't be on a speedway forum? I find it interesting to hear everybody's opinion and many posts on this forum point out the cost, and general lack of entertainment at many tracks in the UK, not just Kings Lynn. For this very reason people who would never miss a meeting (I include myself here) have drifted away from the sport and tend to watch it from the back benches, hoping something will change to bring us back in the the fold again. As you rightly say, "If we don't go to meetings, there'll be no meetings" but I wonder whose fault that is? I was delighted to read there was a good crowd at Saddlebow Road last night, who knows, maybe I'll be encouraged to go again?3 points

Respect a man that aided others in an attempt to close the club down is asking too much.3 points

we started with a Team that looked likely to struggle and made changes. Not Promotions fault Adam missed so many matches unless you believe they signed him knowing he would miss them. They are "having a go" and good to see that with better weather and better performances crowds have built up well. I'm no expert on crowds but I would think at level of last few matches we would be OK financially but if form peters out and matches get less significant worry is fans drift away. Promotion between a rock and a hard place with Championship / National League, little supporter appetite for latter not quite enough yet to be secure in Championship. I'm more confident now of next season than at any point so far - hope I'm right3 points

I was there last night .Very poor crowd for a local derby which turned out to be boring . if I hadn't met up with the usual friends I would most probably have left at the interval. No atmosphere , crap track, terrible racing. Good to see Ty back on form though.3 points

Despite the meeting at Redcar being rained off this evening it wasn't a totally wasted 2 hour journey. I was handed a survey/ questionnaire on the sport which shows that some one / promoter ? does care what the fans think. (Something we tried at other tracks in past seasons) This site won't let me down load a photo ( too large?) so I'll type it out on here as I was only just discussing these surveys on another thread. Are you a Bears supporter? Are you a visiting supporter? Is this your first speedway meeting? Is this your first season? How many years have you been a speedway supporter Where did you first hear about speedway? Tv, radio, from a friend, poster,. Have you seen a Bears poster at your workplace? What, if anything, could be done to improve your experience at a speedway meeting? Each completed form was to be entered into a prize draw if details supplied. Just goes to show someone out there is trying to listen. Well done Redcar Speedway.2 points

Oh well, 4 hour round trip for nothing but ' that's speedway ' as they say. Was allowed inside the stadium, still able to get food and drink and use the facilities. Even got to speak to some riders who explained why it was called off ( start line was just too wet after heavy down pour at 5 pm) . Nice to get to speak to riders from both sides, no animosity over the call off and only the home promoter appeared a bit down about it ( understandably ). Got handed a fans survey ( see different thread) which was interesting. Despite my fuel bill not a totally wasted journey as got to eat one of their famous pie n peas!2 points

Bringing back Sarjeant is coming home to roost as this is what you get from him. He's easy to mask in a strong team but at this point we arent as strong and need him to score points. We had the choice to make at the end of last year to retain Sarj or Nathan Greaves. I'll leave it there.2 points

Sheffield ran a ' free entry' meeting and over 2 thousand turned up, the very next meeting back to normal 6-700 level. Big ' free ' crowd does not mean more income in anything especially if the club does not run the food franchise ( as many don't) .2 points

I don't think the fixture list helps. Last week we had Wolves. Our next opponents? Wolves again. The same thing happened with King's Lynn. People don't all go every week. A lot of people probably look at the opponents and make a decision based on that. Attractive opponents, good weather and school holidays probably boosted the crowd last night.2 points

Tigers need Sarjeant to get some points. No heat advantages when Cook wins his races is telling. Its only keeping Tigers in the match.2 points

Therein lies the problem, I wasn't talking about the few on the forum. It is the many who no longer attend, for many reasons. This type of attitude, the club is right and the fans are talking through their proverbial, is the main cause of the problem. It is because of this type of attitude that the gate has fallen to the level that it is. I remember a prominent voice on here, saying, if they don't like what is offered don't come, well that is exactly what has happened. I might add, as for the 'BEGGING BOWL' if the customer does not like the product, it simply does not buy it2 points

Several ferry lines- some short crossings - other longer. Stena Line operates 1 route, Gdynia to Karlskrona which runs 3 times daily. TT Line operates 1 route, Swinoujscie to Trelleborg which runs 9 times weekly. Polferries operates 2 routes, Swinoujscie to Ystad runs 19 times per week & Gdansk to Nynashamn about 7 times weekly. Some of the riders also will do Denmark on Wednesday before returning to Poland.2 points

Surely Peterborough fans must be thanking Buster for moving Harris out to Ipswich, looking at his current form. Watching him in SON sums up where he is at now. Have to wonder now if his days are done.2 points

Jason Doyle praising the track & work done by Dixie Dean & volunteers.... ''Credit where credits due! Swindon track staff done a great job yesterday in extreme heat to make that track not like a dust bowl. Dixie Dean & volunteers thank you. We have another good race track in England'' His words, not mine.2 points

They are deluded that's why. They really beleive in the show they put on, and that they offer good value for money. The penny will finally drop when the stadiums are empty.2 points

Yes Woffinden has every right to earn and ride wherever he wants to and fair play to him.But he cant make out he is as passionate about his country for me he has not shown that.Cant be bothered to do the British Final ( we could even seed him through) he has let us down as well in the past by not riding in other international meeting's.Why does he expect to be able to call the shots for me he has not earned it.Look he is a great rider but he still is nowhere near my alltime greatest top 10 riders ever.2 points

Good meeting, especially heat 13 with Jason riding wide on bend 2 and passing on most bends. The whole team rode well and it was pleasing to see the reserves get 11+4 between them.2 points

Of course it's because of the school holidays, that's obvious! Just saying re the 50/50 Why would I want to post negatives about the club, of course there's negatives but I've said on here til I'm blue in the face, red last night mind, that I enjoy supporting the club and I'm not gonna join the "club" on here that don't go anymore and are soooooo negative about every single element of Kings Lynn Speedway, the positives far outway the negatives for me personally ..... when they don't anymore will be my time to walk away and admit that I've moved on and speedway isn't my thing anymore ..... hope that day never comes!1 point

You might think that you've "asked the right questions" , but , judging by your recent posts you don't appear to have arrived at the right conclusions. Writing off posters who no longer attend (and there are plenty of them from all tracks) is hardly the correct way forward IMO . The fact that they still read the forum suggests to me that they still have enough interest in speedway and would love to see something positive happening. I know I would. i think everyone knows someone who "used to go to speedway" but are now lost to the sport, those who still read and post on here are still reachable if ever the sport can rebuild .1 point

Not forgetting we started the season 2 plus points under the limit when we swapped Cook for Summers!1 point

Klindt posted on twitter that he had spoken to referee, who said that he was holding the tapes for longer to stop movement. Well it's not working, never seen so many restarts. Just let them go & get on with the racing. The crowd come to see the riders not some prima donna sat up in the stand.1 point
