Steve the track was not bad and unsafe. It's just grippier than most tracks that's all.It didn't have any holes or rolling hills in it that makes it dangerous. Why would quality riders feel unsafe if they were quality they should be able to ride any track.Surely someone like S. Lambert should be the one feeling the most unsafe as he would probably be the rider with the least quality on track last night,no disrespect to him at all.But he just gets on with it. The track was no different to when you have beaten us twice this season but was it dangerous then? No,because you won.5 points

Wow! Some of your fans slated Redcar for sacking Østergaard after a few matches and then you dump a rider after even less matches! The wages you appear to have saved on staff have gone on " too expensive" Østergaard, so yet another ex Bear becomes a diamond. He will do you a good job tho as he's still got plenty of points left in him. Got to feel sorry for Bukhave getting the boot when there is a worse rider in the team.3 points

Can someone sort out the repeating groove on this track thread, it is getting boring.2 points

No I'm a speedway fan and Scunny is now my closest track since Hull Vikings closed ,last year whilworking away I Took in meetings at Poole ,Ry house ,Swindon And Shefield without Scunny riding . If more people did this then Speedway might continue in the UK in the future2 points

Folk hoping we get beat isn't vindictiveness, everyone is entitled to support whoever they want . And if folk hate us because they think we're some sort of moneybags club , then that's fine too, I've no issue with that . It won't stop me enjoying going to watch the Tigers home and away .2 points

I don't often get entertained on tapes up, full throttle, clutch out 1st out of the start, flat out racers tracks. Much prefer tracks with plenty of dirt, like the 70's ( Rory Schlein please note). The racing was better, more passing, more entertaining. If modern bikes can't cope then change the Bl**dy bikes not the track. You don't see any other sport where they change the track to suit the modern equipment.2 points

Riders struggling in the unpleasant conditions. Most important thing is to be safe and come away with no further injuries. Track is extremely grippy and patchy throwing riders all over the place. Hopefully it will improve. Result doesn’t matter.2 points

Another famous part of speedway history has just passed. Polish Champ in 1959 and World Finalist in 1960. I am sure that old -(should say mature!!) Leicester Hunter fans will remember him.1 point

This rider merry go round just makes a mockery of the sport,he will probably be guesting for Birmingham or Redcar in a couple of weeks1 point

Josh broke down in one race , maybe had bike issues until later on.Holder had bike issues in his first race.1 point

...FFS, Victim of the numbers game and daddy's son, I mean fair play to the management for actually making a change that was needed... But Jacob rode so well, especially on Sunday night... Very disappointed to see him go... Already Personally I'd put Ostergaard at 3 or 4, with Lasse and have Matty at 2 with Steve, Max at 7... Making our 1/2 partnership easily the strongest in the league and Heat 8 VERY strong1 point

Its a pity you can't wipe your arse with faceache , the sun on the other hand is very useful at that.1 point

The other side of the story is beginning from to emerge , from eyewitnesses , and it would appear that the so called injured party was particularly vocal and abusive . And with kids in attendance there was no other option . I dont think there is a track in the country that would tolerate that kind of behaviour.1 point

To me it wasn't as deep last night, even the times were a fraction slower than normal although still quick. The track was quite dry after the first race even.1 point

To make the regional league system work if 14 teams were racing you could have two 7 team divisions (North and South). Teams could race teams in their own division home and away twice and those in the other division home and away once. That would give 18 home/18 away meetings. The top three in each division could then go forward to the league finals meeting each of the other five teams home and away before the top two teams meet in the League Finals. The points from all meetings up to that point would be added together to decide the top two meaning being top of your division would be worthwhile. The 8 teams who were not in the finals could be split into two groups of four (3 meetings at home and 3 away) with the top from each group meeting for the National Trophy. All this gives a full fixture list of meetings that all mean something with no need for any filler competitions and a mixture of local derbies plus the interest of having teams from afar visiting.1 point

If this doesn't start them off nothing will. Can of worms you got there Ray!1 point

this will be the second meeting this week where we cant track a competitive side through no fault of our own I think Ipswich should call this meeting off for sake of speedway in this country im sure people will disagree with my comment1 point
-
Don’t know but don’t think these fixtures would threaten Play - Off chances.Only my opinion though. Its pathetic that the Promoters pretty much half their home fixtures and still can’t co- operate to help each, people can talk up the sport all they want but it is a shambles.IMO.They just expect fans to plan their season around a random fixture list and random call- offs.1 point

Easy to beat a team devastated by injury. But I doubt it will stop the gloaters. Revenge will be ours when it matters.1 point

Doyle's a fighter..good point won. Only halfway through season. Once all riders are back we will be ok.1 point

Shame about that, i'm sure the Ipswich faithful would much prefer to see the mighty Pirates roll into Town with a full strength team...1 point

I did hear on Friday night that someone had been asked to leave the stadium , but to go onto Facebook using the name " John Smith ' ( seriously ) to have a rant only plays into the hands of the likes of Blobby . Thing is with our owner , he's a successful hard headed businessman , and just like Denham at Workington before him , treated people at a speedway track like possibly they do at the workplace is a no-no . Friday night was a bit of a disaster on and off the track , digging it up half way through the season before an important cup tie was a mistake , and one that cost us dearly. When riders started complaining about the track , the pressure of trying to remedy the mistake obviously mounted . Someone then shouting " this is a disgrace " was obviously the straw that broke the camel's back and the red mist took over . A sad and sorry situation that shouldn't have happened, let's hope lessons have been learned from Friday night .1 point

If you had of seen Jorgensen at Newcastle last night as I did he was all strapped up with purple tape and in agony and could hardly talk for the pain . With what he was saying I am surprised he actually rode tonight ...Injury nothing to do with Kings Lynn track1 point

It is your biggest meeting of the season so far , so you might need the two threads lol1 point

Awful. You really would think after all these years they (all) should know how to prepare a consistent raceable track.1 point
-
I think pretty dreadful sums it up well. Racing, Crowd, Excitement & Persistent Restarts due to riders trying to jump the starts. Tatum got it spot on tonight, exclude riders who move before the tapes go up, warnings are a waste of time, none of this 15 yard crap, Chuck them out, it would soon stop.1 point

Apparently Ulrich is too expensive. Things don't look great if the rumours are true that the security staff were apparently told last night that they weren't getting paid no more but could work voluntarily. Anyone else hear this? Don't know how true it is.1 point

All 3 posts absolutely correct. King's Lynn as a Speedway track is still there but it most certainly isn't a Speedway racers track at all. Only big mistakes contributed to any passing. Awful meeting and certainly wouldn't encourage any stay-aways to return. Adrian Flux Arena is all about the gating, it's very very ordinary and lacks any value for money in entertainment.1 point

Its perfect for the stock cars that make him money.......1 point

The track last night was very good. Two spells of grading brought it back both times. The telltale sight is the sameness of times within a couple of seconds. It even held Barker with those extra fast dives into the bend, and then around the boards. One of the best performances I have seen from Barker.1 point

Only my second time ever at Brough and I quite like the way the track is and yes it's a technical, but if all tracks were the same the racing would be boring.1 point

Something definitely to consider.. You do feel that it's only a matter of time before greyhound racing is 'hounded out' of existence given it's poor PR... Definitely feels like an orchestrated agenda gathering momentum against the greyhound fraternity.. Not to mention the falling crowds it suffers.. Housing development is much sought after politically too by local MP's so they won't be too favourable towards the greyhound followers I would suggest..1 point
