So Garrity given a £300 fine by the SCB. How have they came to that conclusion. So they’ve recognised that he’s decided not to bother turning up so in effect withholding his services so surely that’s a 28 day ban.7 points

You’re being incredibly insulting to Ipswich here. Were the panthers septet a “disgrace” in their previous three unbeaten home meetings, including victories over your fancied teams, Wolves and Poole? Astonishing to see the lack of credit to a fantastic away performance that’s bettered ANY of the four teams that’s previously visited the Showground this season. Just because you were one of a few on here who was banging the “worst Premiership team ever” and “cannon fodder” drum along with Steve O and Acef, which is now making you all look pretty daft regardless of what happens here on in, doesn’t mean you can’t show a little humility and admit you may have been wrong.7 points

Typical buster track thinking fast times is the B all, who really gives a stuff about track records, thinking the track must be good if the track record is broken, not giving any thoughts to entertainment and that's what any sport is about ENTERTAINMENT.6 points

What can you do given a few bread loaves and some fishes? Prophecies'R'Us or what? Shades of the mysterious Kings Lynn electrical issues of 2010 if you ask me. British Speedway, making Brexit look like an organised efficient process, every day.4 points

Awww bless you.....why would it be the misfortune of others. Only injuries can scupper a side and the only team really missing a rider is Swindon with Doyle and they won the only match he was missing in. Ipswich were written off at the start of the season but yet we sit proudly at the top of the league as the only side who have had an away win....we are there on merit not due to others misfortune4 points

We are waiting until after the 24th so we can use the best 2 pointer for the track of tricks. If that fails we can use Jason Garrity.3 points

...and the witches team probably put together by the much abused cabbage patch clown Chapman. Lemon is clueless and IMO over rated as a TM let alone a director of speedway. He was an ok rider who’s now way out of his depth and just going through the motions and picking up his pay cheque. The sooner they sus him out and get someone in who’s experienced at BV the better.3 points

If they just told the truth and said we dont want to race as no facility for the unavailable ellis the public may have grumbled but would have worn it. By all this cobblers they drag the club thru the mire.3 points

Again unsporting nonsense. None of Wolves, Poole or Lynn managed to beat “that Panthers side” did they? We didn’t just win either, we stuffed you so yes, it was impressive IMO.3 points

you never mention the manager though surely that makes us stronger as well3 points

Mate I think you know by now that you need to take contributions from these two posters with a pinch of salt. I’m still laughing at the idea that those who score well give 100% and those who score poorly don’t if only speedway was that simple.3 points

Say what you want about Ged but he cared about Peterborough speedway and I miss his Passion..he never hid. we now have faceless owners who don't care and we don't hear a word from them.3 points

Congratulations to the Thomson Twins on their professional debut in Sunday's KO Cup win over Mildenhall. Holding their own against the opposition Reserves and taking points off more experienced riders. Quite a baptism of fire as they were forced to take extra rides due to the unfortunate heat two crash involving Jamie Halder and David Wallinger who were both forced to withdraw from the meeting. I hope that Halder and Wallinger are not out of action for too long.2 points

Loads of tracks have pulled fast ones over the years and got away with it. I know Belle Vue got punished for the hose pipe fiasco, but that is an exception to the rule. You had Eastbourne with the 'stolen' generators and last season Mildenhall refusing to turn up for an away match. Most of these incidents are swept under the carpet and quickly forgotten. The long suffering fans just get used to it.2 points

Couldn’t have put it better - well said. Agree 100% with every point - well written post and sums up the situation many fans I believe from what I heard last night are thinking.2 points

Shame we have guests. Brady flying at the mo and Klindt when he gates is virtually untouchable. Would rather our proper team than guests but nothing can be done about it. It’s practice for the champs though for when we come for the league points.2 points

To be fair, given the dust bowl that is Wimborne Road I would have thought most Poole fans have to go on Twitter to see the result....2 points
-
The counter argument would be that promoters refuse to pay over the odds in order to keep their tracks open. Well probably never know the truth but the bottom line is that riding for Glasgow and nowhere else isn’t doing him any good.2 points

I always go on Twitter because as well as the official Poole account doing heat by heat updates, other Poole fans on Twitter give good updates of what is happening in each race.2 points

I do not consider I am boycotting, but everything that I loved at the showground has changed. 1. We were all involved together before and it felt like we were all part of the team, now it is my way or the highway. 2. For what ever reason, the team we expected to see was ripped apart leaving us a team well under the points limit, riders are being forced to ride out of position and are understandably struggling. In my opinion and I have always said this every year, all teams need a number one, we don't have one, but if we cannot find one ,the team needs changes for strength in depth as we don't have that either. 3. Ged and Neil who most of the fans admired and respected were out before even a wheel had turned, with no suitable explanation. 4. The track , it wasn't perfect before but mostly we enjoyed exciting speedway, it was a pleasure to watch, now it is just fast gate and go, appearing to be prepared for the opposition or simply speed most of the time, also we have to endure constant tractor circling. If I don't go to the Poole match I may regret it, I will still go if the stated options being looked at genuinely are, but I am not prepared to waste my money, sitting being aggravated by the situation., and not enjoying myself...indeed I will probably go to watch the juniors on Friday, as a rule I have always enjoyed my speedway and have travelled all over the country to watch my team through thick and thin...but....if the situation we have now at Panthers is the best we can ever hope for in the future, I hate to say it but yes Speedway could well be finished at the Showground.2 points

Again, never said his equipment is substandard as such, just the same as last year as it went so well. He's saved money by cutting investment in UK Speedway. Why wouldn't or shouldn't he? To be a No1 in the UK you don't require anywhere near the investment you need for the likes of Poland, Sweden and the SGP's. People are extremely delusional if you think top rider's spend big bucks in the UK.2 points

yet some clubs still insist on signing big name riders hoping they can balance the books @ the end of the season and then moan about losing shad loads of cash ..( my own club included ). we only have 11 years to save the planet from self destruction . we have even less time to save a sport that is being crippled by high costs in wages and crazy running costs . with the season even shorter , why do riders need new hire vans for travelling around . there is not that many fixtures . Shirley they can get away with a 3/4 yr old trtanny or something to fulfil their uk fixtures . then again , many of them cant even get a simple engine to go around a track for 4 laps . these high end riders are killing the championship as we know it . if they want to earn big money , do it in the premier league only and dont drift back in the championship for the east pickings . me, i would rather watch lads who are doing it for a hobby and not a living. the guys that turn up with one mech and not an army of 5 guys trying to prove they can blow a tyre up and pretend they know everything ... cut these costs and speedway will survive . but we only have 3/5 years to sort it out . then its toast . we dont owe them a living , they have to earn it and not be given it and entertain the public into the bargain . its a circus and the animals are about extinct ! no doubt there will be more track closures next year, sad to say .2 points

Robert Lambert is a business. He has to speculate to accumulate. He has to have a financial agenda for this and future seasons. He spending priority has an order and I could guarantee UK Speedway is bottom. 1. Ekstraliga 2. SGP / SON / Euro Championship 3. Elitserien 4. British Speedway I have no doubt at all his UK equipment has taken a back seat with his eyes firmly on the prize of being able to drop UK totally like Woffinden.2 points

Lambert didn't make gates on Saturday but swept round the others which you can do at Belle Vue but not at Wolverhampton I think gating is his problem2 points

Speedway has been a part of our lives for so long it is hard for me to make the decision not to go, as I am sure it was for you, but next week I will be giving it a miss . I may regret it, I might even change my mind at the last minute, but it is a lot of money to waste every week to feel aggravated and not enjoy my night out .So as things stand unless things change that's it. Congratulations to Ipswich you looked superb last night, your fans are a credit to your team, go on and make the play offs now!!2 points

I have a feeling we are going to find another meeting cancelled if they aren't allowed a Guest for Adam for some cock and bull reason; this time the salvation doesn't seem likely to come from the Clouds so will be interesting to see what they come up with this time. Would be financial suicide to have got rid of 2 riders, bought 2 in and then have to race without the new no 1 in first meeting since with some NL recruit at reserve and another NL Guest in for Adam, as I believe if not allowed Guest can't use RR either. Would be a bad deal for supporters if it was a League match, a KOC Tie v a team 20 odd points up who thrashed us on our home track just a couple of weeks ago is suicide by slow death surely. What a mess!2 points

Blimey, there's a lot of negativity amongst Panthers fans! Isn't it the same team that nearly won at Swindon last week? Panic, panic panic. Building emotion against Chapman won't help either, jeez one home defeat against a team with the best reserves in the league and who were due this result is no shame.2 points

There can be no excuses, when a SGP rider only scores 5 and don't win a race, one has to question his application. When you're a one man team, then this man has to perform..... Well done Rory for giving 100% every single race...2 points

You don't actually need to interpret it as, for once, its unusually very clear... No facility can be allowed for Ellis.... However, you could get a thick black marker and cover up rule 16.5.2.2 on page 44, (or even rip page 44 out?) and pretend (for that night), that it doesn't exist, and 'in the interests of Speedway' make up something ad hoc and contrived, and then see if enough punters collude with you in pretending that Speedway (in Britain) is a proper sport and attend.. Lift up the carpet, brush under it, and move on to the next made up nonsense.. There's nothing to see here, move along please..2 points

Whilst you might have valid points, they would be more impressive without the bad language.2 points

Does anyone have any information as regards what 'Mad' Malc is now doing? He was an overnight sensation at Eastbourne and showed promise on his move to Cowley but a move to Poole followed quickly to Leicester forced him to retire from the sport. He was a temperamental rider as I recall he had major issues with the Kennett Brothers. An interview in 'Backtrack' would prove very enlightening!1 point

I am not defending Garrity as missing 3 years on the trot does seem to be dodgy but the issue has been sorted by the SCB(fine) & our club(stripped of captaincy). I.D.S. I do know was an MP!1 point

I see Ipswich sit top of the table I realize its early but its amazing how the Witches managed to build a stronger line up in 4 weeks than the Aces could in 4 months !! Mark Lemon still director of all speedway matters at NSS ?1 point

This Once great club is now run by a buffoon by the name of Lawrence Rogers, Yes the dog meeting took place last night, having rang the stadium up today and asked if there was any problems with the electricity I was politely informed no comment, yes Adam Ellis is riding in Denmark tomorrow Birmingham speedway hold your head in shame.1 point

The regulations are the BIble of the sport. And just like the Bible that gets interprated one way by the Catholics, another way by Greek Orthadox's, another way by Jehovah's Witnesses, so the SCB regulations get interprated differently, whether you are Matt Ford, or CVS, or Buster Chapman, or just a mere mortal. Isn't that why nobody outside of the love/hate relationship that those who are involved have with this state of affairs, can take the sport seriously?1 point
