  1. All this stuff about CFS and Craig Cook. Go to their website and the message is loud and clear ‘Accept Cookies’. They can’t make it much clearer than that.

  2. Anyone got a clue why King was not replaced in his 4th ride? This golf buddy thing is costly

  3. Reports from wimbourne road say the track hasn't been affected by the rain as it hasn't been watered for 2 seasons. Don't know if this is accurate or not.

  4. I'm pleased that the Judge and jury are leaving everyone else alone and are focused on Craig with so many ill informed and frankly appalling opinions. I've fallen out with him and his father on more than one occasion but mutual respect and civility remains. As far as this forum is concerned everyone can agree to disagree quite amicably at times but on this occasion I honestly feel that this topic is showing utter disrespect not only for the person but for his alleged issues and that is the absolute pits.

  6. I was out in that deluge yesterday and the drains couldn't cope, floods everywhere, so how do these experts think a newly changed racetrack with next to no time to bed in will cope, guess they would rather it goes ahead, abandoned after a heat thus pissing off more punters, been showery most of the day, correct decision.

  7. Taking a stand against something which you believe is not good for the club you have long supported is NOT wishing for it to close down. I too detest the way in which Buster Chapman runs King's Lynn Stars ( and I think in the long term it will not help the club to develop ) but my passion for the club and team and its long heritage ( going back to it's links to Norwich Stars where I developed the speedway habit from my parents ) is in no way diminished. I do believe that in the fullness of time the Chapman & Godfrey era of control will be seen as the death throes of the professional sport in the UK. Alive & Kicking my a**$.

  8. You are not getting my point.... Hawkins should have nominated Lawson, Bellego, Pieszczek and Allen.... then Harris could have gone in heat 15......

  9. is there anything speedway fans wont moan about

  10. OMG! How does Hawkins keep his job.... absolutely clueless. How does he expect Jake to ride in heat 15 when his last race was in heat 8 . Why wasn’t King replaced in his 4th ride? Why wasn’t either Lawson or Harris held back for heat 15? I could go on.....

  11. Mmmm interesting comments on ( B ) rough park you say.. well you could ask all apart from 1 or 2 visiting riders who have been there so far this season & you'll get a pleasant surprise on how many have enjoyed racing on it & don't forget that we only have 1 day access to get the track RACE ready so hats off to top track man Johnny swales..

  12. Maybe Buster is trying to build sumink at Peterborough, like he has at Kings Lynn. Should reach fruition around 2035 if Kings Lynn is the benchmark

  13. Regardless if rider A is scoring better than rider B if both are 2 point reserves then it is irrelevant what anybody thinks. Whilst i get there point about levels of current ability, but if both are currently averaging 2pts then as far as the rules go there is no argument.

  14. If Thorssell is back riding elsewhere then the temporary injury replacement should end once the initial period granted is over - no way should it be extended Either Thorssell returns or a permanent replacement needs to be named - no further facility should be available

  15. Scott is 0.04 below Nick so would fit. Unfair maybe as Scott has been pretty decent and adequate replacement. But not as a replacement for Jacob. The Nick Morris situation is a more worrying one. Another month of RR is going to demoralise the main body riders imho. If we can switch the temporary replacement for Morris and keep Nicholls till then would be the best situation. 1. Jacob fit and back riding is now a priority to bring back. 2. RR for Nick if a switch replacement isn’t allowed (not that there should be but hey this is British speedway so anything is possible). 3. Scott as temporary replacement for Morris. 4. Sign Scott for Morris if the injury situation is going to drag on. They are my priorities.

  17. I’m rapidly reaching that conclusion - with the exception of Wrighty BWD and Summers it’s the most depressing season I can recall for years!

  19. It hasnt been prepared properly for a very long time.Is the racing good with or without the holes on the first bend??? they are that big they could end up burying you there in the future.

  20. Haha the conspiracy theorists on here!!!! Hilarious but the usual suspects at large....track took a pounding yesterday and with more expected later it looked a risk what with the first corners still needing time to bed in , as for the CFS/Cook s**t who cares

  21. Before you even contemplate knocking our club surely you should be worrying about your own club's track. Now it has to be near on the worst track in the Premiership and going back to the Hartwell trophy/ Blue Riband days in the 70s/80s the track then was excellent.

  25. The weather has been dismal in Swindon today, tomorrow's forecast is bad again so not all to do with the Cook situation.I hate seeing meeting's called off but this is the right call do supporters want to see follow the leader in freezing conditions i think not.One thing it does show is what a farce of a Premiership fixture list we have now we now dont have a home meeting until the 28th.Fans who get out of the habit of going to speedway find other thing's to do and sometimes they are hard to entice back.I don't know what other Robins fans want but I want at least three home meeting's a month the league's structure has to change soon surely.

  29. Looks like a decent amount of material still there approaching the mid meeting point and that terribly slick inside line seems to be rather grippy pulling Lawson through to the lead.......

  30. he might be " in the know " but he is prone to a bit of ott when he thinks his son is under attack . don't you remember his "eastbourne wouldn't have won anything if it wasn't for adam " post ?

  35. I was excited to see Penhall/ Bast ride they both found it difficult but i always believed both would of practiced at Swindon beforehand after a meeting as both tracks were reasonably similar.Iris and Chunky i believe see Bast at Wimbledon do some laps but i dont know if he did any other track?

  36. It's always wet. Even if it's the middle of a heatwave the tracks always flooded to saturation point.

  40. There was some competitive action & I thought the track was fine. There were no clouds of dust and I know that when a blue line appears, that part of the track is really grippy, giving both a quick inside and outside line. Water it and it becomes like ice. Masses of dirt does not necessarily make the racing any better - the last few times I've been to Lynn it's been follow the leader nearly every race. Stars need to concentrate on getting more out of Lambert and Proctor, Witches need Harris to climb out of his rut.

  41. Stop talking rubbish. Pooles track is still way better than Swindon’s Improved track for racing. Yes it’s been poorly prepared but still one of the best tracks in the country when it’s prepared properly. And stop deflecting. This meeting should never have been called off so early.

  42. I believe 'the mighty Poland' are next year going to run their meetings not at weekends but instead on Monday and Thursdays using random septets and sharing riders around the teams if any of them get injured, or are needed elsewhere riding for their other teams.. They are even considering running in the early afternoon as well as evenings, which will then enable No1 riders to ride for two different teams on the same day... They have seen the huge success this operating model can deliver over here and decided to copy it.. Before confirming, they are just awaiting the feedback as to their plans from the various National blue chip companies who bank roll the teams, and the mainstream National audio, visual and written media who provide it with wall to wall coverage... I am sure it will be a foregone conclusion as to their opinion..

  44. I think you could be right. When you look at all the orange on the Robins kevlars it’s obvious that having to go white on Craig’s didn’t suit CFS Unnecessary requirement from Buster in my opinion.

  48. Yes, but a rider like Luke coming back from serious injury was always going to find it difficult and not to be mocked. It can't be easy for any rider in that position Anyway my mother always said if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything.
