All this stuff about CFS and Craig Cook. Go to their website and the message is loud and clear ‘Accept Cookies’. They can’t make it much clearer than that.9 points

Anyone got a clue why King was not replaced in his 4th ride? This golf buddy thing is costly5 points

Reports from wimbourne road say the track hasn't been affected by the rain as it hasn't been watered for 2 seasons. Don't know if this is accurate or not.4 points

I'm pleased that the Judge and jury are leaving everyone else alone and are focused on Craig with so many ill informed and frankly appalling opinions. I've fallen out with him and his father on more than one occasion but mutual respect and civility remains. As far as this forum is concerned everyone can agree to disagree quite amicably at times but on this occasion I honestly feel that this topic is showing utter disrespect not only for the person but for his alleged issues and that is the absolute pits.3 points

From a cov fan for over 50 years think yourselves lucky you have speedway when it's gone it may not come back3 points

I was out in that deluge yesterday and the drains couldn't cope, floods everywhere, so how do these experts think a newly changed racetrack with next to no time to bed in will cope, guess they would rather it goes ahead, abandoned after a heat thus pissing off more punters, been showery most of the day, correct decision.3 points

Taking a stand against something which you believe is not good for the club you have long supported is NOT wishing for it to close down. I too detest the way in which Buster Chapman runs King's Lynn Stars ( and I think in the long term it will not help the club to develop ) but my passion for the club and team and its long heritage ( going back to it's links to Norwich Stars where I developed the speedway habit from my parents ) is in no way diminished. I do believe that in the fullness of time the Chapman & Godfrey era of control will be seen as the death throes of the professional sport in the UK. Alive & Kicking my a**$.3 points

You are not getting my point.... Hawkins should have nominated Lawson, Bellego, Pieszczek and Allen.... then Harris could have gone in heat 15......2 points

OMG! How does Hawkins keep his job.... absolutely clueless. How does he expect Jake to ride in heat 15 when his last race was in heat 8 . Why wasn’t King replaced in his 4th ride? Why wasn’t either Lawson or Harris held back for heat 15? I could go on.....2 points

Mmmm interesting comments on ( B ) rough park you say.. well you could ask all apart from 1 or 2 visiting riders who have been there so far this season & you'll get a pleasant surprise on how many have enjoyed racing on it & don't forget that we only have 1 day access to get the track RACE ready so hats off to top track man Johnny swales..2 points

Maybe Buster is trying to build sumink at Peterborough, like he has at Kings Lynn. Should reach fruition around 2035 if Kings Lynn is the benchmark2 points
-
Regardless if rider A is scoring better than rider B if both are 2 point reserves then it is irrelevant what anybody thinks. Whilst i get there point about levels of current ability, but if both are currently averaging 2pts then as far as the rules go there is no argument.2 points

If Thorssell is back riding elsewhere then the temporary injury replacement should end once the initial period granted is over - no way should it be extended Either Thorssell returns or a permanent replacement needs to be named - no further facility should be available2 points

Scott is 0.04 below Nick so would fit. Unfair maybe as Scott has been pretty decent and adequate replacement. But not as a replacement for Jacob. The Nick Morris situation is a more worrying one. Another month of RR is going to demoralise the main body riders imho. If we can switch the temporary replacement for Morris and keep Nicholls till then would be the best situation. 1. Jacob fit and back riding is now a priority to bring back. 2. RR for Nick if a switch replacement isn’t allowed (not that there should be but hey this is British speedway so anything is possible). 3. Scott as temporary replacement for Morris. 4. Sign Scott for Morris if the injury situation is going to drag on. They are my priorities.2 points

Maybe it’s just in this part of the world but as an outdoor self employed worker I find BBC weather to be pretty accurate.2 points

I’m rapidly reaching that conclusion - with the exception of Wrighty BWD and Summers it’s the most depressing season I can recall for years!2 points

It hasnt been prepared properly for a very long time.Is the racing good with or without the holes on the first bend??? they are that big they could end up burying you there in the future.2 points
-
Haha the conspiracy theorists on here!!!! Hilarious but the usual suspects at large....track took a pounding yesterday and with more expected later it looked a risk what with the first corners still needing time to bed in , as for the CFS/Cook s**t who cares2 points

Before you even contemplate knocking our club surely you should be worrying about your own club's track. Now it has to be near on the worst track in the Premiership and going back to the Hartwell trophy/ Blue Riband days in the 70s/80s the track then was excellent.2 points

SKY NZ are showing the SON from Belle Vue and presumably have the GP's so all is good with the world.2 points

To be quite honest I am not wishing for anything ,Chapman now owns the club and I have to accept that but I don't have to pay to watch it.2 points

The weather has been dismal in Swindon today, tomorrow's forecast is bad again so not all to do with the Cook situation.I hate seeing meeting's called off but this is the right call do supporters want to see follow the leader in freezing conditions i think not.One thing it does show is what a farce of a Premiership fixture list we have now we now dont have a home meeting until the 28th.Fans who get out of the habit of going to speedway find other thing's to do and sometimes they are hard to entice back.I don't know what other Robins fans want but I want at least three home meeting's a month the league's structure has to change soon surely.2 points

every team is carrying a couple of riders probably due to the finances involved. we are having close matches because of this which can only be good for the fans.1 point

Bit of a shame we couldn’t get the win against an average looking Poole side but we threw so many points away when in big scoring positions so let’s look at the positives Good to see Harris on the pace still don’t know why Poole let him go Poole need to let Worrall go but I’m not allowed that opinion and Covatti needs to up his game1 point

Its well documented that craig has mental health issues, I truly hope his current problems dont lead to further issues. With only having a championship club as is only income and losing a massive sponsorship deal surely he must be losing a huge amount of money this season With a young family, and mechanics and bikes to pay for he desperately needs a premiership berth, seem to remember last season when bomber lost his premiership berth when rye house closed down said he couldn't make the championship pay, fortunately poole signed him up, craig really needs a lift hopefully he will get a premiership slot in the not to distant future1 point

I used to find the BBC forecast as accurate as any, but that was when they got their readings from the Met Office. Since they changed their source of meteorologist , they’ve been as useful as a chocolate fire guard IMO.1 point

He was on mega money in the States and his demands over here were unrealistic for any club.Penhall i can remember he was earmarked for Halifax first but that stalled for some reason McCormick was a shrewd bloke at Cradley. As for Bast we will never know what he could of achieved over here but Mike seemed happy with his career and you have to say he was a class rider Penhall also held him in high esteem.1 point

Pretty much spot on! Birmingham’s old 1-7 was under the 38 point limit - giving them the extra point you referred to above to allow the changes.1 point

Keep me posted on this one - I need to keep the 1967 season file for the Speedway Researcher website up to date. Thanks1 point

Since when do any clubs follow the BBC forecast?? Often shockingly inaccurate. Met office reckon 30/40% chance of rain between 1500 and 1700 hours, then ok later1 point

I’ve been delighted with the standard of racing this season it’s been fantastic. Monday wasn’t as good and I wasn’t expecting it to be, day meetings are very rarely as entertaining. But, like you, I thought the racing was pretty decent and I’ve seen far worse. Whilst not loads over overtaking, there was plenty of good close battles with Bellego particularly getting stuck in.1 point

The area took a lot of rain yesterday but the track was prepared and packed ahead of the weather. At the moment it’s cloudy but dry with light showers forecast.1 point

Oh and just saw shovlar being quoted by someone still taking utter crap i see.....he has the mentality of a teenage football fan absolute moron and the fact he thinks Poole is a good track when well prepared is irrelevant as it never is these days!1 point

All opinions - I think yours is misguided Im sure that wont bother you just as yours doesnt me1 point

Surely the main objective in speedway at the moment is to make sure your club survives financially. Yes Buster could break the bank and get the best riders possible to take all silverware you want as a supporter, but then would you have a team next season to support.I know what i would rather. Many teams overspend and unfortunately not many of those are around anymore.1 point

Ole Olsen and his team start putting the track in this Friday. next Tuesday there is scheduled a test meeting with junior riders.1 point

I think that merely serves to show just how difficult it will be for him to get a top flight place here - injury seems the only way to me, and even then I suspect other options will be considered first. I'm a Cook fan - and he's anything but an average rider - but he was stupid with Peterborough. True, he had a point. But in sticking to it he halved his speedway earnings overnight and massively lost out as a result. Instead of thinking it through he behaved petulantly and he will be counting the cost all season. I really don't know where he goes from here but suggestions that he shuts his mouth and just gets on with it seem pretty good advice to me.1 point
