Sincere apologies to one and all- very much a senior moment - should have checked Poole`s 1 to 7 before posting such rubbish !!! i`m very much the prat4 points

The press releases from both teams have NBJ listed as riding in the fixture.3 points

The adverse camber on turn 2 at Rye House was notorious. Some riders that went over that were never seen again!3 points

I was thinking exactly the same as i watched on Monday. If the start marshall pulled everyone tight up to the tapes as he does in Poland it very much reduces the opportunity to roll forward and get a flyer.2 points

Shame but a very sensible decision this time. Hopefully see Adam and Nathan in action next week and see if we can do a Liverpool and pull off a Cup miracle...2 points

There is a slight difference in the spelling of Kurtz it seems . Up North it's Kertz and down South it's Curtz. They are both from Australia but it's a big place you know. It's all in the pronunciation.2 points

Considering that the glass was full and people were having good time on Dec 20 compared to now when running at all seems to be the usual plus point and the regular closure threat is used to counteract dissent then I'd say that it's a half measure in a pint glass however you want to cut it2 points

This is exactly the problem. I recently mentioned on my own club's Facebook page that I felt it would benefit matches in the UK if we adopted the Polish system of two from each team going out to test the track prior to each match. That way, the away riders especially wouldn't be going out cold, but could confer and get their setups right . The response from one of the directors was astonishing. He said "just because the mighty Poland do it, doesn't mean we should..."1 point

Worth a try. It was my right. For some reason I thought you might drive a big auto. Could of put it in drive with your right arm then. Bloody sore, but eases off a lot after 2 weeks. Makes you realise how tough these riders are1 point

Maybe not so unnecessary when you consider the state of Swindon’s racesuits? It does seem like Cook could be piggy in the middle though. Everybody loses out which is the sad part.1 point

As always, some 'tasty matches'.. Got myself a 'firestick' for the season and have watched every match so far.. WOW! How Speedway truly could be is the over riding impression.. Can't do British Speedway much good I would think though with so many UK fans now having access to what's on offer in Poland.. Must confess, I haven't attended anywhere so far this year, but will be there at the SON on Saturday.. As an aside. It was interesting how many starting issues there were at Swindon the other night, yet in Poland there seems to be total compliance to the rules. With the Start Marshall even ensuring all are arrow straight with no rider allowed to be pointing at an angle.. Something to learn over here? Anyhow, many thanks R and R for all your updates, much appreciated..1 point

Surely the main objective in speedway at the moment is to make sure your club survives financially. Yes Buster could break the bank and get the best riders possible to take all silverware you want as a supporter, but then would you have a team next season to support.I know what i would rather. Many teams overspend and unfortunately not many of those are around anymore.1 point

Love how riders turn you down but it buster fault dont worry blame it all on buster.1 point

That was a discounted price. The price was 7s 6d which converted to 37½p on decimalisation. However the half pence was discontinued in 1984 and the price of the licence reduced to 37p. Why am I telling you all this?1 point

Witches Twitter just tweeted, Scott Nicholls in for Brady kurtz1 point

Alfie Bowtell is a lot more experienced than some of the younger riders. It's all about preparing a track all levels of riders can race on.1 point

Think we are blessed in the south east to have Both Iwade and Lydd with well prepared tracks for riders of all standards. Then rye house is not a million miles away either.1 point

The Premier league is not a cakewalk for a rider to clean up, it is just that Cook is so good at that level. You are right he should be in the higher league and hopefully soon he will get fixed up i look forward to watching Craig ride tomorrow.1 point

37-53 which would put Lynn top of the group unless of course Ipswich done the same at Poole on the night. Seriously can't see past a Robins victory really. To even get a point would be good, but to do so we need Proctor and Kerr to start scoring some points.1 point

Len had adverse cambers on the second turn as it affected visiting riders at Rye House ,giving home team advantage...unfortunatly here it is affecting the young home team riders..it must be changed before serious injury to some one..and possible track closure due to the accursed curfew1 point

I went to the opening match Swindon v Poole & as I'm sure you noticed the pits seemed to be in someones garden & I'm sure people were watching the speedway from their bedrooms. The tannoy was like a nightclub yet at Kent we a tannoy nobody can hear & a 6pm curfew on a bank holiday, the country is barking mad.1 point

Well I'm back on the track Staff now and am not at all impressed by having to re build the back straight fence every other heat. Almost entirely due to the track cambers which take the riders into the fence, totally wrong. If this is not rectified many more meetings will be cut short without a doubt and paying the extra pound this season to spectate is asking too much, thank god the club never moved up to the Championship, laughing stock would be an understatement.1 point

Well said... Nice to see someone with some common sense.. You do have to laugh at some of the content on each teams threads by fans bemoaning why their team is 'poor'... Every year the SS does a bumper edition where you read absolute garbage from promoters of tracks saying things like "we have picked a team who can all increase their averages' or 'he has shown glimpses in the past of the level of rider we think he can be'... All absolute nonsense... Riders run similar averages year in year out because, guess what? That is their level... Several will be four and five point men the whole of their careers.. Always were, are now, and always will be... To expect them to do any better is folly, especially as they ride against pretty much the same riders every season who are doing exactly the same thing to their averages (ie pretty much standing still).. If you have ridden for five years or so then usually that is pretty much as good as you will get.. After ten years or so then there is usually a tipping point where you go backwards.. "Let's bring Woffy and Bartosz in"...1 point

Gorzow and Zielona Gora is the biggest derby and rivalry in world Speedway- they hate each other with a vengeance. I am a bit surprised you didn`t know that.1 point

That would of made Buster cough a bit as well, would of done it if it was his Lynn team, got to say how is it forum user fans see these little possible team strengthening advantages but experienced speedway management like Colin Pratt dont, unless of course he put it to Buster and got a very short reply ending in off1 point

I agree the gap is huge,it's certainly killed off any promotion and relegation, remember that ? I remember a few seasons back (,before i stopped going 5 or 6 years ago) when Rebels were in the second division, the current Poole side would have been a second division side, we had Nick Morris, Josh G, and Doyle, now you are paying more for a lot less with a 38 point limit. At the end of season with the team average risen to 45 or more and riders on a false average compared to their ability, you will weaken it further the following season.I wonder how many pensioners still go with no OAP discount? When i last attended, apart from Najjer all the people i used to see an stand with 20 or even 10 years ago no longer attended, and they can't all be dead. very sad !1 point

More tracks should use wristbands. It stops all the hangerones blocking the pit areas. Seen many times riders having to dodge around folk just chatting and not taking any notice whats going off around. When the Ref puts the 2 minute buzzer on and a rider has a problem who needs people in the way. As for Colin handing out the bands, he knows who should be allowed..........Not every Tom Dick and Harry.1 point

I like the show but the one thing that could be improved is mover cover from other team rather Cradley wolves bham it be nice to hear from team managers up north and about teams up upwards in the country rather than been focus on certain ones all the time just a thought1 point

Shame you didn't attend in 2018 then when Workington Comets scooped the board and won the treble and everything on offer in Speedway , huge crowds to see them do so So forgive me for not getting over enthusiastic about a FC playing a Sunday League division let alone in a Stadium that holds 8000, laughable !!! Compare that to a winning Speedway Team racing on bikes with no brakes ......I know whats much more exciting As for the "little" interest its more the financial side that is stacking against Workington , so stick to what you know...in Cumbria we call that 'Nowt' !!1 point
