  1. Interesting that alot on this forum myself included point to Poland as the way forward. So when we have a owner who starts to give his clubs a professional image like the Poles do he gets slated. I'm not Chapman biggest fan however I can only admire how his teams are kitted out. Louis has always had his teams well kitted out and the Ipswich website and interaction on social media over the past few years has been great. Up the witches right now the sport seems professional well in Ipswich at least.

  2. Crazy and most annoying thing is they are planning to rip up the track, spend god knows how much for Workington Red's Football who I think have been relegated to a "Sunday League" who will probably scrape in around 100 crowd (and that's optimistic) . Complete Joke

  3. Came down from Berwick and seen a cracking meeting from a neutral perspective, plenty of racing lines on a well prepared track. Polar opposite to what we are used to at Berwick. A couple of shocking refereeing decisions, but that is becoming the norm, where do they get these clowns from. Redcar are definitely playoff contenders, impressed with Wright & Stewart in particular.

  4. Terrific nights racing, both teams really going for it. Charles Wright & Ben Barker brilliant. Nichol very good & young Kemp is going to be some rider

  8. Not quite right, I want Buster to fail. On paper King's Lynn, Ipswich and now Peterborough are the weakest 3 teams in the league. Many people also agree with that. Do you know what makes tonight worst? Even 2nd tier Leicester managed 42 points at Ipswich

  9. Nice of Simon Lambert to ride instead of Robert

  10. I can't remember where, but I remember reading that the Poles always criticise Maciej for being too soft, and he'll never get any better for it... Have they not seen this race? Great race, hard riding, but still room and respect between both riders, and a nice little hand shake at the end... This is what speedway is about...

  11. The Lynn side that finished 6 points clear in the league, after being bottom in 2018 wasn't very very poor was it?

  13. Second Half Action No Cubs meeting tonight but a couple of exciting looking line ups for both the 500 and 125 classes. Our own Elliot Kelly will get a good tough test before his debut for Mildenhall in the National League while in the 125 class myself and Jamie will be keeping a close eye on both Liam Sharples and Will Hoceniuk. Both lads will be making their Media Prima Arena debuts with Will looking to impress and take the squad position vacated by Alex Goldsbrough. Late in - 9 year old William Cairns will be making the trip up from his Buckinghamshire base to complete the line up in the 125cc heats. We apologies for the programme changes but we had 3 changes to the 500 line up during the week. 500cc Elliot Kelly Josh Embleton Kieran Douglas Tamas Sike 125cc Callum Gill Liam Sharples Will Hoceniuk William Cairns Stay behind if you can and give the lads a bit of encouragement.

  14. Think at Shielfield that’ll be fine, hopefully they make that change for away meetings.

  15. Oh dear - that just shows we are well and truly in the mire if Buster tried to plug the Cookie gap with Woryna - desperate or what?!!!!!

  16. All of Busters teams look professional, highlighted by the matching suits and covers. Any newcomers will expect this to be the norm but it's the oldies that maybe don't like it? Have to grow and move with the times which Buster seems to be trying to embrace. So for the time being he can only be applauded. Obviously the result from.last night helps.

  17. He has set fire to his "boats" and though they are not yet burnt below the water level he does need to be more prudent in future. Being outspoken / plain speaking is all very well if it is carefully thought out as to it's likely reception. It's not what you say but what other people hear that counts. The main point in his favour is that he can cut the mustard on track ( in the UK ) and so likely will get a PL place within a couple of months. The sponsor's logo issue was just a smokescreen and we will never know what really happened in the world of masonic-like dealings.

  19. Jealous? What would I be jealous of? Morton ended up bankrupt didnt he? Or so we were told? And lost everything? Im extremely jealous of that , haha! Morton made a right mess of it , however or whoever funded it, it certainly wasnt his money was it? And the non payment of rent , whos fault was that? What has my location being in Australia got to do with anything?

  20. How many people would have egg on faces after tonites flogging, can only see Ipswich team leap frogging the more popular teams into playoffs as long as they stay fit, solid from 1 to 7 go the witches!

  21. An outstanding performance from all 7 Ipswich riders. All this tosh about a weak side for God's sake givem a chance before we slate people after a couple of meetings. We put the arch enemy to the sword, what more do people want.

  23. Attractive looking fixture. Hopefully the Bears will be on it and some great racing results. Looking forward to seeing how Zaine Kennedy and Drew Kemp perform but i'm going for the Bears 49-41.

  26. Comfortable win for Falubaz, like him or loathe him Nicki Pedersen still has what it takes to cut it at the top level, poor from Torun with the Holder brothers virtually anonymous.

  32. It is slightly unfair to say Angermuller, Wassermann or Uhlenbrock are forgotten. Think the Reading riders are fondly remembered by their fans of the time. Seem to recall them getting mentioned from time to time and also the anniversary of Sepp’s death was reported in Germany . One such I am sure I posted here before https://www.donaukurier.de/nachrichten/bayern/Wolnzach-wochennl452014-Ein-Komet-am-Speedway-Himmel;art155371,2980946 Uhlenbrock is also possibly remembered more in the UK than in Germany, possibly because of the fake news reported at the time that he escaped East Germany with his family in a motor bike and sidecar. The work of Dave Lanning ?

  33. The only reason he is in the team is his cheapness. He's a nice lad, but not good enough to ride in the top division.
    1 point
  34. It does look as though the 3 east anglian teams will be the worst in the division. That's cost cutting and no surprise given Chapman is overseeing all 3. The other 4 clubs have spent wisely and unless there are changes, which I'm sure there will be, then this years top 4 is probably the easiest prediction we have ever had.

  35. I think there is no doubt he would have qualified in the three (four including 1939) pre-War years injuries permitting. He would have been 36 in 1946, the same age as Vic Duggan and five years younger than Jack Parker. Good call about Max Grosskreutz, LS.

  37. It’s amazing how riders after all these years suddenly become greedy when dealing with Chapman. Weird.

  38. Indeed, I thought chucking Harris out was bad enough but to kick Craig out on the eve of the season was madness even by Busters standards.

  39. I take it Peterbrough altered their track then, i'm sure last time I went show ground was big fast and open. young Dan needs time and no pressure putting on him

  40. I would go along with that. Dan Bewley will feel more comfortable on the big wide open spaces of the NSS. Will do him the world of good.

  41. Adam Ellis for Ostergaard would be best option.

  42. Arne Pander is a prime candidate for this one! It should also be pointed out that it wasn't just the injuries, but also his decision to prioritise riding in Britain, which didn't go down well with the Danish authorities. Arne took out British citizenship and entered the British qualifying rounds in 1966, having missed out in a few key seasons in the meantime.

  43. Instead of being an arse on here and seeing that you seem to have a lot of time on your hands, why not pop down to the stadium and offer to help with the covers. They may even offer you free admission as a reward

  44. In the late 60's Gote Nordin was referred to as the greatest rider never to have won a world title. I'm not sure about that though he was a favourite of mine.

  45. Tough meeting for the Bears - Tigers look very strong and they have a lot of riders who ride the track well. Not surprised Sheffield are confident and will need an excellent performance from Redcar to win. If it's close and the racing is as good as last week it'll be a entertaining night.
