IMHO, Companies who sponsor a club should have their Logo around the track and other viewable places where Jo public will see the companies name, brand etc. Companies that sponsor riders should get their logos etc on the rider and or macinenary they sponsor. end of.

A good meeting to blow them winter blues away, wasnt as good as other years but a handful of cracking races kept me entertained. Doyle a deserved winner again, he did jump the start massively which TBF he admitted. Not his fault the ref diddnt pull it back. Max and bjerre will be a very potent partnership in 13s and 15s, especially around NSS. Both looked quick. Worrall struggled for speed all night but these are what these meetings are about. Kerr impressed aswell. He got stuck in. Very Good crowd to start the season

Can't see why people should be getting so paranoid about this. Birmingham's track was laid down from scratch in 8 days in 2007. Swindon only have one bend to re-shape so I can see no reason why the track shouldn't be ready and bedded in, for the start of the season.

Would have been pleased to have won on aggregate, so to win on the night is a bonus. Probably a good time to ride at Newcastle with the fact they had a few new faces in the team and their first home meeting. Charles is a class act these days and excellent from Nathan tonight. Bit more back up from the rest of the team (let’s tell Bacon that every race is Heat 1) so we could even afford MPT to have a poor night (for him) at Brough.

The starts were terrible in the good old days. The galloping Mauger was a master of rolling into the tapes to anticipate the start.

Enjoyed last night, decent enough racing infront of what seemed to be a decent crowd. All seven Berwick showed up well with Coty Garcia catching the eye the most, hopefully Danny Ayres will be ok after his crash while Ty Proctor might as well have stayed at home. Season ticket collected before hand, looking at the list of names on the season ticket list it looks like many have taking up the clubs offer which can only be good news.

A small amount of £4.50 a week put away in a pot all year round and when the season starts there is your season ticket money a lot easier than finding £17 plus every meeting try it.It works for me.

This is where speedway promotions (not just Wolves) just do themselves no favours whatsoever. There's been stories of Morris having a possible broken scaphoid doing the rounds for the last 24 hours. Word from the official site on the situation, there was none. Now it may well be that it can't be reported one way or the other as if, for instance, he has broken it, they'll need to wait for the swelling to go down to confirm. But for God's sake a few lines on the OS explaining the situation 'he's going for x-rays tomorrow/he's ok' would be fine. It's almost as though they take some kind of perverse pleasure in keeping people in the dark. They've never come to terms with this interweb thingy.

Topsoil summed up most of what I was going to post. Decent meeting to be fair with some good close racing. Not as cold as it’s been for season openers, but they did a decent job in hurrying it along after the injuries in heat 12. Good to see the tannoy on bend three has been adjusted so we can actually hear announcements. Team looks solid throughout, but the real tests are yet to come.

Apart from the result, this was a cracking meeting with some brilliant racing on a good slick track in front of a large crowd with the usual contingent of away supporters. Thought we were in for a good stuffing early on but, like another meeting here a couple pf years ago, the Diamonds suddenly turned it around and after a 14 point deficit, the Diamonds got with in 8 points only to lose heat 15 with a 5-1 against. A 12 point defeat was actually decent given the dominance of the Bears in the early 7 heats. In the junior meeting, there was some great racing and good performances from Dicken, Josh , Archie and Danny who was flying. Unlucky start for Sheldon with a dodgy clutch, but he will on song next time out I am sure. Some terrific overtaking at this junior level. Nice to renew our friendships with our usual Bears fans and ChrisHT, who made me and Alan very welcome once again. Thanks for your best wishes. Very impressed at many things last night, a good atmosphere with the fans, great racing, stadium improvements, good even paced meeting and a complete rethink to revitalise the programme and content. The whole evening was a great advert for speedway, with 2 sides who will give a good show everywhere I think. Massive parking, and queues at the turnstiles, even had some pies and peas left when I got there. NB Forgot to mention the fine form of Jordan Stewart. Very hit and miss last year IMO, but if he can continue this form he could prove to be very hard to beat.

Instead of making jive remarks about the effort the work and money that has obviously gone into the presentation of each of those clubs, you should be complimenting them for trying to make this sport look more professional. When making you predictions you ought to remember, had it not been for Buster there would not be a Premiership league for your cheaply attired riders to compete in

I don’t think it’s crap. Relative to the UK currently it’s a decent enough line up and these PC meetings have always been really, really good. The 2017 one was out of this world with a very similar line up. I would go so far as saying that is the best speedway meeting I have watched live. The racing from heat 1 throughout was off the chart. When it’s like that I don’t think the line up really matters.

Now everyone knows Nicki is no angel but Darcy didn’t seem to mind him when he wore a replica suit to help raise money for Darcy.

The speedway car park is behind the leisure centre, the best way from the A46 is, take the Beaumont Leys exit, travel about 3/4 of a mile & turn left at the roundabout ( Bennion Rd), follow this for about 1/2 a mile until you come to another island with a police station next to it, turn right here, in about 300 yards the road bends right, at this point take the small road that forks to the left, this leads to to the speedway car park. There is no charge, but it's usually full by 6.40-6.45 ish. Alternatively just park on one of the shopping centre car parks, these are free, but have a 4 hour limit.
