Its difficult to cut the people involved with this project much slack when all we have heard from them for the last 3 years is, failed promises, unmet deadlines, deafening silence, misleading stories and downright lies.

I remember at the 'dog bowl' the houses adjacent to the back straight had a completely unrestricted view from their bathroom windows overlooking the track when 'The Chieftain Stand' was demolished.... No one ever watched.... A 'proper business' would be engaging with their new neighbours and giving out special offers, eg a few meetings free to try it, reduced price tickets ongoing, organising meet and greet open days pre season exclusively for them etc.. Must be a couple of thousand people now within walking distance, and the demographic of house buyers in those size houses suggest young (ish) professionals with plenty of kids in tow... Speedway's much needed target audience... (Obviously still having a track to run on would be a distinct advantage in attracting them).

Perhaps the moment of maximum exposure isnt right just yet for it to be on the website

Wife and I went 3 years running 2013-2015 and sat in £19 seats, yes they were in the 3rd tier on the 3rd bend, got a splendid view. We did the stairs, but there is a lift.

The run-off between Martin Ashby and Ray Wilson for the last qualifying place for the World Final during the 1975 British Final at Coventry. Martin could have been more ruthless but being the gentleman that he was/is he raced Ray hard but fair missing out by a tyre at the chequered flag. Two great Britons during the time that England ruled the speedway world.

For me Hans is about ten years past his best and on the way down, not sure I would drop any of the three on similar averages in our side for him. Can see why people would want Simon after the job he did last year but he wont ever get any better and there is a chance Kasper could be a decent speedway rider given time to develop as he is young enough to improve. Not convinced Hans and Simon offer an awful lot of potential.

Danny is 4th in the Witches averages Lawson is 2nd

I dunno. Maybe Buster and Ford have agreed so it's all good in the interest of the sport of course

Riss and Jorgensen i really like both great value, I think Andersen at reserve might improve??? Without Puk though is such a blow with him top four material easily.

I believe the Stars scored 16 points away from home in 2018, best in the league. I will be surprised if they score any away with that team, sadly. If you take the away points off of last seasons total, Lynn wouldn't of even made the play offs. It's a worry... NKI or someone of his quality is going to cost us big time, if no changes are made along the way. Take a look at last seasons away averages.. I want them to win the league as much as anyone else, but after last season Buster said Lynn were going all out to win it this season. It don't look like it to me. If you look at Busters 3 teams on paper, it looks like Peterborough are his " beloved team" so to speak. Frustrating from where i'm sitting.. Berwick will have one definite starter in the British Under-21 Final as Leon Flint has been seeded directly to the Final on April 27th. The other seeded riders are Robert Lambert, Dan Bewley, Nathan Greaves, Jack Smith, Kyle Bickley, Drew Kemp, Jack Thomas, Tom Brennan, Zach Wajtknecht.

It's clear from these comments that regardless of tracks, it's really the people who most matter. I've followed my beloved Brummies for the last 66 years and I know that speedway people are the best people in the world, so whichever team you decide to follow, enjoy a great season.

Wouldn't be the first time would it. Exeter, Romford and West Ham were three tracks that had houses surrounding their stadiums. For Romford it proved fatal, but the orher two ran for years without any problems. That was then but this is now. If Swindon do survive long term in the middle of a housing estate. It might give hope to future planning issues at other clubs.

I'm in Gustix territory a bit south of Peckham but totally agree. South of the river is either gentrified or the other extreme and is no place to grow old i think. I definitely plan to visit Eastbourne as much as i can this season. Only an hour and a bit down there from here i reckon and not been there in years.

Great twist on it. Opportunity to promote entertainment on your doorstep. I would love to have a track within walking distance. Sadly, it only takes a few ‘Only Me’s’ to make things difficult. Swindon fans get buying - some could watch from their bedroom.

Lots of houses means lots of potential fans... Potential customers literally being brought to your door step.. (Or Swindon being brought to their doorstep as the case maybe?) What an opportunity to grow your business.... There will be no issues with these locals not knowing what Speedway is...

Ironically the complaints come mainly from one road, that road has a music festival taking place at a social club at the end of its road this summer, wonder how the locals will enjoy that.... Interestingly I believe the site still has permission to host Football matches upto 11.30pm wuth no restriction on days, and i think still has per.ission to hold 4 outside music events, making this decision and the objections a lot more baffling.

I completely agree that to make it work it need buy in from every team. But end users are not going to stump up £25 for an initial download let alone per season. If it is to be successful it needs to be nearer £2.50. Don't forget its greater purpose is to generate a greater buzz for the sport and more paying spectators rather than a profit source in itself.

As a young speedway fan. The way to go is a whole speedway GB app with access to all. The internet is about providing access to anything and everything. Could have a team specific section for each team but would enable you to watch KL press conference even as a poole fan for example. Also one app which everyone pays 25 for the year would enable a better app.

If they really wanted to do something different where programs are concerned is create Kings Lynn speedway app charge say £25 for 12 months subscription in the app have match day race card home and possibly away meetings and be able to fill the race card in and this is possible as there used to be a SGP race card app , also sections on supporters club latetest news and interviews even maybe press conference live section so fans who can’t stay after meetings can see the press conference, to be honest this sort of app would appeal younger fans more than the older ones so still print a programme as well .

We should be looking forward to new season. Unfortunately with the secrecy and subterfuge that has been the norm during close season as I have said before I am left with a feeling of foreboding . I just think there is lot more going on than we know and am suspicious of Busters motives. I can't lose sight of how eager he was to accept the 30 pieces of silver

Not quite !!! Still feel us fans have been treated like mugs. Although I can see the merits of this team, as it stands it will be someway short of the competition. Governed by the numbers, Niels was never going to fit into the allowance, but for Lynn to have any chance of making it into the lottery , then he will be drafted in at some late stage, when the numbers allow, inducing added pressure on the declared riders to perform.... Just a pity the fans weren't brought into the equation from the start so we knew what were their intentions. That's not asking for the world, surely I have voiced concerns in the past how local derbies were badly missed and that our crowds have suffered through this. This year we will have them in abundance, so hoping the attendances will improve,.Just a pity we cant be more optimistic about the early confrontations...

I flew over Blunsdon a couple of weeks ago in a light aircraft and was quite shocked by what I saw. The stadium is now surrounded on three sides by new housing, some of which is right up to the stadium boundary. Don’t see how re-shaping the existing track will help, nor does it look like there is enough remaining space for a new stadium. I can post a photo if someone can tell me how?

Anyone remember the hot Roast Pork sandwiches at Cradley Heath. And you also got some fantastic speedway.

Of course people are entitled to express their views. Just saying that some of the extreme personal insults and character assassinations you often see on here will not make anyone better-disposed to speedway.

Birmingham - in Dave Mason and Laurence Rogers 2 guys who want to provide entertainment and to improve their Club. Based on where you live however, I would say Eastbourne, been so impressed with all they have tried to do this winter, as the previous Poster said, their new website and link with Speedway Portal sets the bar higher than anyone apart from possibly Glasgow and their social media. I think if I lived down there I would certainly give them a try but try Brummies first!
