Ahhh, RR2017 and his various aliases still trolling several threads, replying to himself and making up stories to seek attention, it’s pathetic really that you keep needing to draw attention to yourself to feel good. he’s a bit like thrush really. Just an irritating tw*t that refuses to go away.8 points

Some comments on here about Ulrich & Simon are a bit harsh in my opinion. Neither are going to be world champions but they turned up, tried hard & put the club first. People were (rightly) quick to moan when some of the star names we've had seemed to pick & choose what meetings they fancied.7 points

Why? Cook loves BV more than anyone ever has and you want him binned for trouble maker Jack Holder? I'd take Cook in a heartbeat over Jack, much better attitude5 points

Tero ended up as Newcastle's number one on a 6.83 average. I think that's a heat leader to me.4 points

With rumours of unpaid riders that go through speedway, I’d say it’s the riders who take financial risks too.4 points

Just to add to this, from what I gather, if fit, he will ride at belle vue, Poland and Sweden hoping to sign to ride in Denmark, then U21 championship rounds ,team U21 rounds and possible European championship and/or grand Prix qualifiers, and maybe full team GB side, so would be unavailable for over half of comets fixtures, it would be good to see Dan back, but not any good if going to be missing most weeks,3 points

You don’t win meetings with 4 riders ! The other 3 have to perform too, and looking at Somerset and Glasgow once Cook and Rasmus are announced their tail ends are very long...It showed last season a top heavy team doesn’t win the trophies . We have nothing to prove this season , we smashed the Treble , we are going to get 7 guys who want to ride for Workington . It’s not what’s on paper . Nothing wrong with our team so far, I might be slightly dubious with Lambert coming back , but if Josh McDonald is becoming a comet he did really well in the NSW Championship scoring a very respectful 12 points. Welcome to Workington Super Stevie Worrall3 points

We just need to get behind David & Peter Mason in BIG numbers to make sure that this is the correct decision for both the club & them. We OWE them nothing less...……...3 points

Don’t think much of yours if that’s the side. Reserves look very weak. Cook can only score 15 a meeting (without R/R or TS etc.).3 points

You can’t have it both ways, if clubs want loyalty in the manner the initial post is suggesting and first refusal a year later then riders need to be contracted and salaried, you can’t have riders being self employed and therefore if they’re injured don’t get paid etc. But then come the end of the season have absolutely no control over who they sign for and at the mercy of a club. If you want it to be this way then clubs need to sign riders onto multi year contracts with a weekly wage agreed and performance related bonuses on top of that more like in say football as an example. But there’s simply isn’t the money in the sport to do this! The original post seems to forget these guys are people trying to make a living the same as anyone else, they’re fortunate to be skilled enough at something as fun a racing motorbikes against there friends for a living but that doesn’t make them any different to anyone else and should be treated accordingly. imagine you’re subcontracted to build an extension for a bigger firm. Once the job is done you get offered to build an extension for someone else for more money than the firm you’ve done a contracted job for, would it be reasonable let alone legal for that firm to say you can’t go and build an extension for someone else because I want you to do this for less money, I’m not willing to employ you full time and pay you a salary all year round but if you don’t agree because you’ve just sub contracted on a job for me, you can’t work anywhere else in this country for 12 months!! Farcical idea isn’t it!3 points

I’m confused, you previously said Morris was signed when clearly he wasn’t. How do you know who the remaining 5 riders are. Yes we can assume Adam & Zach are 2 based on them being asset & the club like using our own. The other 3 is just guess work. Some of your previous guess work include Craig Cook as number 1. A swap deal for Lambert & Doyle...can you see why what you say doesn’t get taken seriously.3 points

Wouldn't want to confirm anything to you as you haven't got a clue and if the truth come up and bit you on the ass... you would still deny it... told you best thing Glasgow could do is go big league and it would save them money... it's like sticking Rangers in the third division and saying you cant come out of that league.. oh hang on they done that and look what happened was it 4 or 5 seasons and they were back in the top flight? And why? Money.... they bought their way back to the top..... what is happening here is a joke... and sniping riders when they have agreed contracts with other clubs isn't right and you know it isn't... you can not defend the indefensible... Jesus Manse, you been on the babycham ... your grammar is shocking Got to love a mole , but I do believe it’s much better from the horses mouth. Dan won’t be fit by March , Rene is becoming a Dad in April wasn’t wanting to race in UK , Ty and Comets mutual agreement and Nicolai wasn’t racing in the Championship due to his overseas commitments and family time . Rasmus was flashed the dollars the only one to jump ship .But don’t let facts get in the way of the crap you post . Keep throwing cash at cheesy videos though gives the rest of us a good laugh2 points

i think most rider average will improve in 19 . then the fun starts all over again in 20 with riders on fake averages and the points limit will have to be raised again .2 points

Surprised at this announcement considering travel apparently was a big problem, under 6 point average and should go up in a much weaker league, he’s so much better than that!2 points

I can see your reasoning. That 1-7 means Brady has to step up and he didnt handle the pressure last season. It relies heavily on Klindt maintaining or bettering his form.........can he do that at this stage of his career? He certainly looked a better rider last year Josh G isnt getting any better and Woryna needs to step up. Having said that it would be the best reserve pairing in the league Kurtz in my opinion needs a true number one to ease his burden.......who that is i have no idea2 points

Has to be Lambert and Ostergaard, something to really get the juices flowing for the Panthers fans. Surprised no one has mentioned Jack Holder coming back to the The Showground.2 points

Something needs to be done about riders contracts as it stands at present a rider signs for a club to ride for them for a season but he hits a bad patch and ends up being dropped and replaced OR another rider gets injured and to fit a new rider in to the averages rider X gets dropped and replaced by a lower averaged rider either way rider X who has invested £xxxx in machinery for the season ends up teamless and unemployed. On the other hand a rider who falls out with the promotion for whatever reason and refuses to ride ends up with a fine and a minimum 28 day ban. In either scenario it's always the rider that ends up suffering with no protection at all but the promotion just carry on. I would love to see riders contracts challenged in court because I bet they are not worth the paper they are written on in many cases.I2 points

Exactly the type of team that Eastbourne fans would want as well. Either Ellis or Kerr would be good additions, strong top 4 and a tail that can all improve plus would get the supporters backing which is huge for confidence and should serve up some good racing at Arlington.2 points

So all the rumours about Nick Morris were justified and he is surely a good signing coming in on an average below 7. The club are saying no more announcements for a few days while they weigh up their options. And the key will be whether to retain Thorsell or Schlein or both. I suspect both will have had interest from other clubs. If we were to sign both then Morris and Howarth would be in the team as second strings, and I doubt there would be many clubs that would have an all round team that strong. If Becker lives up to expectations at reserve then it looks very promising.2 points

They just don't get the team building bit up our way by all means try a new 2 pointer but at least have one strong reserve , good reserve/reserves win you meetings you only have to look at Workington last season to see how that works. As much as I enjoy watching Cook having him back just makes the team too top heavy we need to be more strength in depth with that silly points limit.2 points

Lets use your scenario Kyle Bickley starts at Worky last year Lets say he was on £40 per point Fast forward 5 years and in order for him not to miss a whole season somewhere along the line he still potentially has to ride for £40 per point even if he progresses to No1 status Bonkers2 points
