This rule has affected, is affecting, us. However whilst I totally agree it's an awful rule, I get why it's in place. Imagine "cough" cough" certain promoters bringing in ringers in the latter stages of the season to win the league for them. As usual the many are hampered by the "dodgy" few, who spoil it for everyone.7 points

Awesome performance by the Stars. The form team going into the play offs and fingers crossed they can bring home their first top league title!5 points

It's about time the BSPA told riders to make up their mind where their priorities lye, then sort out our leagues with what's left. Its the only way forward as even our young talent will be enticed abroad much quicker in their career.3 points

Surely if your full team is available thats what it should be .We are always moaning about rider shortage and in this case not necessary2 points

The Somerset team manager admitted to doctoring the track on TV Shame as it spoilt the entertainment value of the meeting.2 points

To be fair (and I am not sticking up for the BSPA) I dare say it’s been written like that because teams in the past have brought in ringers for the play offs and cup finals.2 points

Can't see Belle Vue winning now with Dan Bewley out , Kings Lynn have a chance but the favourites are Somerset in my view. I would imagine if Kings Lynn are top the would choose Belle Vue and if Somerset are top they would choose Poole.2 points

It seems strange that a club cannot replace a rider with season ending injuries after the cut off date. Some common sense would surely be in order in these circumstances...2 points

On another thread another poster has just described the bloke from Monster as 'an absolute penis of a man'. I am unsure whether this is more perception than fact. But it does seem a reasonable conclusion from the evidence.2 points

Despite his big upturn in form I think Callum Walker could be victim of this, with him effectively being rested so a guest can be used for Danyon. That gives you back 4 heat leaders and walker rr = 1 heat leader and 3 reserve rides. Which is far stronger then 3 heat leaders and, Hume rr = flint, walker plus 2 reserve rides.2 points

I thought neil been doing the track in recent weeks been on holiday ?2 points

VOR does not help his case when criticising JC for things over which he has no control (i.e. stadium seating) - his general bitterness, coupled with a total inability 'to let it go' tend only to make him a laughing stock amongst the more rational forum members.2 points

Riss is a major boost for Kings Lynn and Simon Lambert is pretty good at home shame for Garrity but Riss is far better.2 points

Let's face facts it doesn't matter what track(possibly NSS excluded) it's gate and go nowadays majority of the time.1 point

Youd have to hope Poole are up to something if you were a Poole fan as that is a pathetic performance. imagine how good Lynn would of been had Iversen been on the gas all season.1 point

Oh come on!!! We were winning 95% of the meeting last time and now we are getting the thrashed. No one is that thick to think it's genuine are they? It's either 1. Matt wants KL in SF or 2. Averages must come down, could have Brady at reserve at this rate!! Or maybe it's a bit of both.1 point

Give over. Poole want to finish top aswell to give you a chance to face us if we get 4th. Easy picking. So it was an important match for u. It also sends a warning to Lynn ahead of play offs if u won1 point

He was available Lisa, as stated on here. "Straight from the horses mouth" yesterday from Skidder. If Ford thought a play off place was at risk, then Klindt was going to ride for your lot at Lynn tonight. So it was up to Ford if Klindt rides at Lynn tonight, and he chose no. Not good for the fans really, or the team, but maybe Ford was "compensated" in some way Anyway it is what it is. Main thing is that all riders are safe, and with no injuries1 point

Crazy hey... I do understand it would have to have certain rules with so promoters couldn't pull a fast one to strengthen, but with injuries like broken bones/head injuries/long term surely sense should prevail ..BSPA say no more1 point

One of the best races I've ever seen! When I show what Speedway is to someone I always try and dig out that one. Tell me if I'm wrong but isn't that guy in the black monster shirt Woffies pre steroid mechanic? Speaking of which isn't one of the two big guys missing. I was thinking that they have to work in a pair......in torqueing a bolt to just 15# one of them would be tightening and the other one holding him back.1 point

I thought that before when the signing window had closed, clubs were permitted to replace an injured rider, subject to the following conditions:- The replacement had a GSA equal or below that of the injured rider The replacement was not already riding for another club in that particular league The replacement is already an asset of the club seeking to replace their injured rider1 point

Can't see us getting anything out of this, did I just say that. Lol. Day out by the seaside before going back to work tomorrow after 6 weeks off.1 point

The dont think need for reserves is necessary any more. I'd still keep it 7 man teams, make the top 2 rider's at 1 & 5, and the 2 lowest at 6 & 7. With current rules, we now have R/R and I/R/R. The only change I'd make to the rules is that I/R/R is allowed if a team is using R/R already. Each rider can only take 1 ride. Also, with R/R and I/R/R it should be 2 rider's with a higher or the same average and all rider's with a lower average. This then would (If the No7 was injured) only leave 1 heat with 3 rider's only. But if a team uses I/R/R that injured rider is sidelined for 8 days minimum. This way, the need for reserves to take 7 rides is unnecessary to the sport, and rightly so.1 point

The guys have been working frantically with the readymix so the track should be without that rut/hole for the next home meeting and the play-offs. Unfortunately there will now be a bump which might deter some from sticking their front wheel across the white line when they miss the gate?!1 point

I don’t believe so - Art 16.3.4 reads: No Team changes will be allowed after 12TH August with the effective date being 15th August, except for riders returning to the Team after injury who must re-take their position, dictated by their MA with their replacement being released.1 point

if thats the case any reason why Scunthorpe re-arranged fixtures when their No1 wasnt back?1 point

The Championship clubs will stick to what they have IMO .The Premiership are hardly in a position to dictate much.1 point

The Championship should have NO SAY in Premiership matters going forward. In 2019, if Championship clubs wish to continue on a Thursday they have 2 options:- lose all priority to rider's in the Premiership or step up a division.1 point

What a wonderful Idea it was for the BSPA to choose Wednesday as our Fixed Race Night…. 'Brainless' !! At least our Second division teams don't have the worry of clashing with those Danish Teams1 point
