Now on the bad side i guess tonights tickets get us in next meeting either free or with a massive reduction howabout as a gesture to laura we all on here pay the full admission and spread the word so laura doesnt take to much of a hit i know not all will but now is the time to stick together , tonight has been a bad night with flight delays the late ambulance arrival and poor dan in hospital lets do all we can to show laura massive support.finally on the plus side well done kyle on his first comet race win.12 points

Different class tipping-2 in a row. You sure the time difference between Australia and us means you know the winner already6 points

No track covers infact we are still waiting on in no paticular order. 1. Big screen 2. Team manager 3. A good team So if forecast is correct it will be off.6 points

A couple of weeks ago six out of seven PL teams managed to race on the same night. Are you seriously telling us that six out of eleven CL teams can’t manage it ? The reason most clubs w@nt Friday race nights is because that is when they get the biggest crowds. It is when most fans want to go. Can you name any other organisation that won’t open on the day most of its customers want to do business ? Godfrey and Chapman are worse than useless. The sport has reached a new low under their stewardship. They have done nothing, absolutely nothing, to improve the sport during their time in charge.6 points

Tonight a reminder that the playoffs & trophies, though very nice, aren't the be all & end all of speedway that some would have you believe. Watched Bewley from the start in 2016, unassuming kid with phenomenal talent. Starts 2018 at reserve & beating heatleaders home & away, mostly from the back too. He's the heartbeat of our club imo, get well soon Dan.5 points

List is endless but to there credit the money they have invested in the track and stadium has to be applauded, the racing this season has seen a vast improvement on the new track. Regardless what our cast off say's.5 points

The promoters can say the meeting is on, but the final decision is with the riders. For that reason I never intended to hand over the money until the two minute warning went on. With such a fragmented And unreliable fixture list, who knows when the next home meeting will be. Rob Godfrey might have a BBQ planned for the 14th, so that one might be binned as well.5 points

totally devastated, what a night ...makes you realise what danger these guys endure for our entertainment...my thoughts are with you Dan , from going from a high in heat 2 for Kyle getting his first win of the season to that in heat 34 points

Holder out next season. If he gets another wild card it shows how corrupt the organisers are imo.4 points

Speedway is now run by the biggest load of idiots since it began in this country and they have now put it in terminal decline,,,R.I.P4 points

Apparently both clubs had trouble getting guests tonight. I would have accepted it if Lakeside, Peterborough and Workington (or 1 or 2 of them) were told clearly at the start of the season that they could not ride on Fridays, as I fully appreciate the difficulties that could cause. What I do not accept is that they were told to do so after fixtures had been agreed and arrangements made. That's just not on. I can even forgive the incompetence here to a degree, its the self interest I simply can't stomach. As to the match, the way I saw it was that Scunthorpe were awful rather than Ipswich being especially good and that most teams would have thumped the Scorpions. The wet track didn't help, but Ipswich had no trouble with it whether they gated or not. Kemp was hugely impressive and may even now play a part in getting Ipswich into the play offs.4 points

Work stops me attending but on the few occasions I have ventured through standing outside the bar all I saw were 4 helmets going by 4 times a race .3 points

There are some very good young riders out there at the moment, and along with Drew look to have what it takes to go a long way in the sport. I for one hope they all make it .3 points

We had a big Screen and he was as bad round Armadale as the majority were last night3 points
-
Even though any crowd was most likely to be low and calling it off has probably cost the promotion thousands I really doubt that was the case. My guess is why the track was raceable they thought let’s try and get the meeting on and hope the rain misses the track.3 points

What a wonderful Idea it was for the BSPA to choose Wednesday as our Fixed Race Night…. 'Brainless' !! At least our Second division teams don't have the worry of clashing with those Danish Teams3 points
-
They had blank Friday's because that Pikey Godfrey pulled the plug on authorised fixture dates, then blocked revised fixtures on reserved dates. Even the fixture for Glasgow to come on 14th September is not showing on the BSPA website, so goodness knows what is going on there. The BSPA under the leadership of Chapman and Godfrey has gone from bad to worse and it hasn't it bottom yet.3 points

Sad to hear of a rider being injured tonight at Workington, a young lad doing his job,a young lad taking part in a sport he obviously loved , myself and my girlfriend send the very best wishes to Dan Bewley, an exceptional talent in the making , we will be making the trip north to Belle Vue on Monday morning, hoping to here better news when at the stadium.2 points

Don't mind handbags between riders, but mechanics, hangers on etc it's unacceptable.2 points

And again non riders getting involved. Whoever they are, they should immediately be excluded from the pits and if part of a riders team, the rider should be fined.2 points

I've said many years ago something similar... Like 'It's a Knockout', (but maybe not like 'Jeux Sant Frontieres' due to Brexit), we should have hessian sacks put over riders helmets so they cannot see what's in front of them.. Each rider then has a buxom wench dressed as a milk maid allotted to them, standing on each bend, to shout "Left! Left! Left!" to them as they come past... Each rider carries some coloured water in a bucket on his handle bars (the water being the same colour as his helmet cover) and each buxom wench has two pails hanging from a wooden pole across her shoulders... After four laps the rider puts what left of the water into his milk maids pails.. She then runs to the tapes with the pails of water and decants them into one of four designated, red, blue, white and yellow tubes... The rider with the most water gets three points, the second two etc... Imagine the excitement build as all the maids decant their pails into the tubes? Stuart Hall may be unavailable to do the commentary though... Could be a winner...2 points

Congratulation to Archie Freeman on winning the Under-16 NJL Rider Championship at Edinburgh last night. One for the future.2 points

Despite knowing how good Drew is last night he scored as many points as I expected from his whole stint to the season end! A great talent and one of a few coming through which is fantastic news for British Speedway2 points

Tbh, us witches fans have had a pretty awful season so fitting Drew in, in this latter part of the season is a highlight. Last night his score was awesome, however I suspect to a man, we aren't expecting him to perform like that much. Being able to get coty too has helped as no pressure on him at all. We mustn't forget this actually is his first season in speedway, so no pressure on the boy from here at Foxhall. Enjoy the journey Drew, learn your trade from Chris donc and co.2 points

Oh my what a crazy statement. Two meetings to settle then netting 14 points away from home the lad is pure class. A lot of jealous eyes out there that for once Ipswich have signed a true jem. Reminds me of all the moaners when Gollob arrive on a 7.5 average.2 points

I was in panic mode last night (Friday). Everything went wrong with my BT connection. Couldn't do the internet unless via BT-FON, BT TV only worked on basic TV stations through aerial, no BT Sports at all. What with MotoGP from Silverstone and Speedway GP from Poland and no connection. I could get BT Sport via my mobile but not good viewing with a 4.7" screen! Managed to contact BT this morning and after talking for about 20 minutes and a bit of fiddling, it turned out I have an iffy connection on the transformer at the plug, Waggle it about I I got a connection, then I didn't, then I did. Sorted it with a bit a Gorilla tape, good enough to see MotoGP and Speedway GP this weekend, till BT come next Thursday.2 points

It used to be an opportunity for up-and-coming riders to ride at a higher level, to progress their experience Now it's used purely to add to riders' income - there can be no case for a top level rider (purely as an example, Chris Harris) to double down to the second tier I have no problem with an up-and-coming Brit in the second tier being given opportunities in the top tier - but not on a permanent (season-long) basis2 points
-
I personally have no problems with the rain off, we all have eyes and access to weather forecasts so can make our own mind up if we want to go and as halifaxtiger said they are not always right as proved with Scunthorpe last night. I made the decision to go last night by the way.2 points

Edinburgh will win this tomorrow they are at this moment a far superior team to us and I expect them to reach the play off's , and heaven forbid they may actually win it with there big home advantage. We are what we are a mid-table side with aspirations to be more , big thing for me this season is the lack of leadership there is none , this has to be addressed with a team manager in place during the winter that is given free reign to pick the team and not the promoted fan we have presently. As for Bomber I think if we offered him a way out right now he would bite your hand off for it he is doing himself & Glasgow no favours , and as for Vissing it is just the same old from him, all in all the season has just been another nothing season really.1 point
