Kildemand rode in 9 GP's last year so should be classed as any other GP rider and assessed at 9 or 8, whichever is being used. He last rode in the UK in 2015 and averaged 7.10 but it is farcical if he is allowed to return on that average but Zagar, who last rode in the UK more recently, in 2016, wasn't allowed to return on his average of 7.48.4 points

Looking forward to putting on all the thermals for the return tomorrow. After 4 operations in 3 years I should be back to watching regular meetings again.4 points

Stainless, Fueltaps would be correct in saying it was another who originally set up the Facebook page and came up with the name MASSIF so I can't take any credit for that part of it , but as others and yourself have mentioned differences within the group saw this said person decide he didnt want to be associated with the group anymore and see me take up the challenge of trying to look after our Facebook page . It was my choice after asking people on the page would they want a Twitter page as well which seems to have been a big success so far . I'm not the leader nor do wish to be called the leader of the MASSIF , I do what I do on the Facebook page and Twitter account because I enjoy doing it. No one person is the MASSIF, we are a group of madcap noisy fun loving collection of people who enjoy going to speedway . All we have tried to do is try and get the crowd going and inject a bit of atmosphere into the meeting which resulted in some brilliant night's at Foxhall towards the end of last season even if the results didn't go our way . That's us the MASSIF .3 points

No Problem Randy, Oops, pardon the typo...... I have no idea. I guess there are always riders who will come, for a price.3 points

You really are just a flog, you don't know the kids personal issues , I suggest you just keep your big trap shut. Perhaps he's completely the opposite and if he has a kid on the way he's honoring his commitment and getting a real job or wants to be there as a father, speedway after all is only a sport. Welcome Aaron, sorry to see Ben or should I say not see Ben this season but Aaron will be just fine. Does anybody know the average he has?2 points

Is there any chance of Poole creating a team fairly? everybody else does why was Pawlicki's average not lowered ? every year Poole pull a trick.2 points

If Kildemand is allowed to sign for Poole then the sport is really bent. As you say Zagar wasn't allowed to return on a 2016 average because he rode in GPs. Anyone can clearly see then that Kildemand, in exactly the same posiion, can't be allowed to return on a (even older) 2015 average. It has to be 9.00 If Kildemand is allowed to ride, then Zagar should sue the SCB as he had an offer of a team place on 7.48 which was withdrawn when he was saddled with a 9.00 average for the exact same reasons that should apply to Kildemand. P.s. Is Holder's work permit expected to be granted in a few weeks, or is he out for the season now?2 points

Who said he was leader? And how could he be leader when it was set up before him. There is one chap that does the Facebook and Twitter page, so he is the main man. I have a feeling the chap with 56 names was asked if he wanted to sit with a bunch that already sat together and he took it on himself to be leader, but like said above, he fell out with a couple and hasn't been seen or heard of since, which is a shame as he was awsome at blowing his own horn.2 points

Having been a Rye supporter for many years Len Silver took the angle that the speedway must survive over rider signings. If the promotion don’t have deep pockets then it’s this route or no speedway.2 points

NO, he had 2 with him. But it was a meaningless meeting so his main priority was to fix his no1 bike and find what the trouble was. He found the problem and solved it after an extensive practice after the meeting.2 points

adam left workington with an average of 5.12 . he did not take part in enough meetings to get a proper average , but his average had dropped way down . we replaced him with that pillock sarj , who then gave us a masterclass in average fixing . if we had kept adam in the team he would have been @ reserve and adam being adam could have upped his average quite a bit . but he didnt get the chance ! we thought we were getting a decent rider in for adam. but all he did was average fix for the rest of the season . sarj from 5.12 to 3.33 says it all . sarj says he is going to double his average in 2018 . lets face it, if he does there will be no shocks from the people of workington who suffered the form of this so called sportsman . adam 2 reserve could do a job and deserves another chance , where as the other fecker dosent deserve sod all from speedway . shambles of a speedway rider and a cheat to workington speedway ..we wont have long to wait to see sarj as he is down with Glasgow @ workington in the 2nd fixture of the season . hope you get a full team out before the official fixtures kick in .2 points

The difficulty is spend your money on who. There is virtually no-one to sign and Poland has a rule of a 9 man pool, but the team with Hancock, Rose and Kus has 14 riders stockpiled. That in parts has caused a shortage. My way out would have been to go for a new 5.2 rider, and hope he comes good, and a bigger signing into the season when someone gets disallusioned with Poland, and is looking for another income stream. It might be starting low, but there will be opportunities to restrengthen as time goes on. It's got to be remembered we started later than everyone else, and with lesser money probably, so there was always signs we would be limited as to who we could sign. Hang on for the early days and see what pans out but we still should have faith in George and Martin as both of them will not want a poor team for very long. Have faith.2 points

As it stands our opener and Buxton away in august. So on the face of it not a disaster for Kent, the problem arises if both sides are successful later and reach play offs etc. But riding at the higher level on a weekly basis and for such a professional club as Glasgow can only benefit Kent with even greater progression for young Jack.2 points

Just because we don't appear to have a world beating team doesn't mean that the racing won't be entertaining. When we had the all conquering team racking up 5-1 after 5-1 it may have been nice to win but often the actual racing was poor. I'll reserve judgement and be prepared to watch some exciting heats.2 points

Shane Hazelden was at the Birmingham press and practice today and looked sharp. He said he was on about 5.4 but thought that might be reduced to around 4.9 due to missing last season due to injury certainly looked to be over the injury and could do you a good job1 point

Yes he is in a happier place these days, with a nice girlfriend who has kids. He looks as if he is contented and has the son out on a minibike. I hope he enjoys his life, but I am not sure I want to see him on track. He was told he had to pack in and I understood he could not ride for a year. That has passed awhile ago and I have seen clips of him on a bike, but I think that is as far as it will go. One of the nicest riders in the business, with a beautiful style and great gater. 5-1's with DEEK was a done thing on many many heat 1's, and was in both legs of the Cup final against Birmingham in 2010.1 point

Just wondered if he'd be 'out' on track for Redcar, since he's had to quit Rye House for 'personal reasons'.1 point

Just got back from P&P. Track looks very smoth and fast. All the boys looking very good indeed. Shansey going full throttle chucking it about. Holder doing many more laps than the others. woryna looking serious class as doest Brady. Nice to see Bjane there putting in some practice and the new youngster Freddie Jackobsen looking impressive. A good turnout of fans too. Took some footage which I will chuck up on Youtube later. As for Holder, its personal issues which have reared their head just at the wrong time and need sorting not visa issues as far as I can make out. These should be sorted hopefully in the next couple of weeks. He seemed reasonably happy there tonight.1 point

Nathan and Ash both have new engines which they say are much better than their old ones. Nathan in particular says he has never been so well prepared for a season, he is hoping to pick up a championship ride asap as he admits it will be tough only riding for Wolves. Cameron said he had new engines towards the end of last season which coincided with his improved form. Jacob wasn't present as he had the chance of 2 days of practice in Poland. Rory is delighted to be chosen as captain and is relishing the challenge. The were hoping to get some practice in today CVS and PA once again stated their disapproval of the 1 over 8 rule but said it has resulted in the teams being much more even and CVS can't believe we are only 12-1 with bet365 All in all it was a good evening hosted by Ryan Guest as Porkie was ill1 point

An autocratic decision or one made with the team managers consent? Perhaps he could have left the diagnosis to after the meeting. Surely scoring a few points would have been better than none swinging the balance more towards BV.1 point

My concern is and I appreciate that we have still 1 rider to sign, looking at our first months of fixtures (full month), we have: Berwick (A) Berwick (H) Sheffield (A) Scunthorpe (A) Scunthorpe (H) Redcar (A) Redcar (H) Ipswich (A) Sheffield (H) Where are the points going to come from, I know were are notoriously bad travellers but to face Sheffield, Ippo and Scunny away in the first month, I can only see big home wins and I think we will struggle in the corresponding home matches. What impact will that have on team morale and attendances.1 point

Um, "mishap"??? That's one way of putting it! Cutting a long story short, I was chasing someone down the steps at full speed, and I jumped... I hit the concrete head first (right below the EXIT sign), and was unconscious for 6 1/2 hours! What really irked me was that Larry won, and Roger was second - and as I was carted off on the stretcher during the interval, I missed the only Dons' success of the year! The only time I ever made it up to the Boulevard was in 1981, on Royal Wedding Day. Simmo and Anders got a last-heat 5-1 over Joe Owen and Billy Sanders to a draw. It has only just hit me as I was writing this, but three of those are no longer with us, and the other is in a wheelchair. That is really depressing to think of that... Steve1 point

So what was his 'problem/issue' when he walked out on Sheffield last year, as I understand he'd had quite a bit of sponsorship and a decent deal put his way? He was quite happy to continue riding for his National League side and take guest bookings for Championship sides as well. Think he's left it a little late to make his decision this year (for both his teams), compared to his early decision last year. No matter what his reason(s) is/are this time I think he'll be lucky to get signed again in the future, although it is reported that he's quit the sport!1 point

Apart from now being excluded if any part of the rider, bike, or equipment touches the tapes, the rule hasn't changed at all this year, and of course we can still have unsatisfactory starts. They're just tightening up on the existing starting rule. i.e. The Start Marshal must make sure the riders are correctly positioned at the tapes, (not back from the tapes with rolling room). The referee must not release the tapes unless all 4 riders are stationary. And if anything touches the tapes, the rider is excluded. (In the past the referees would sometimes release the tapes with a rider moving, and then call them back. Now they won't release the tape until all are stationary). The thinking is, that if the riders are correctly positioned, stationary when the tapes are released, and don't touch the tapes, then it is a fair start, even if someone anticipates and gets a flyer). There may still be cases where someone IS moving before the tapes go up, (referees are human without perfect reflexes) but these cases should now be few and far between.1 point

Likewise me too. Very naturally gifted. However commitment and dedication appear to be 2 vital components he struggles with (including last season's quick fire reaction to wanting out of the Championship). I wish the lad well whatever he does however he is never to go progress further than he is without applying himself better to his chosen profession. Not read any comments as to why tho so just hope I'm not being harsh on the lad.1 point

Start marshals need to be tougher and so do the refs too. However I'm not sure why riders can't 'garden' stood up, on the bike, doing hand stands or whatever they like as long as they are in contact with the bike and within the 2 minutes.1 point

Unfortunately British speedway is not consistent, The N/L should be made more competitive, how many promising young brits do we have that will go on the ride on the world stage, I am afraid that to many will be lost along the way, we are happy to bring over young oversees riders and give them team places in the upper two leagues, (nothing against this) but we need to limit the current numbers. A young rider trying to make his name in the sport needs to ride at least twice a week, he will also need to give 100% to the sport if he wants to get to the top. We know that not every rider has the natural ability, but with the right help and support he could still make it to the top. When I started out I raced and worked for a couple of years, after a while it became to difficult, getting home from a Scottish meeting and then working the next day, took its toll. This was how most riders started out, we were all in the same boat. Trouble now is we have a lot more riders coming over from overseas that are just riding and we expect our young riders to match them from the outset. So let’s look at this scenario:- Young Brit in the N/L riding and working, he is number 1 and is doing well, gets a call to guest. He has to go into work and then drive straight to the meeting and ride. Gets a last in his first ride, maybe he gets a point in his next, what happens next he is taken our of heat eight. He goes home only 3 rides and 1 point. Back to work the next day and slim chance of another selection. We must give more young Brits full team place’s from the start of the season and fast track them before we lose them. Sink or swim, I was told by a promoter that I would not make it, but hard work and dedication got me to the world final. Riders are actually penalised for doing well. Richard1 point
