If we were going to sign bacon then either of MPT or Ully shouldn’t have been signed imo2 points

And we'd have plenty more if we didn't keep forcing British riders out of the sport because their average doesn't fit.2 points

Not a lover of Bonus Points other than for teamwork and payment. All 3 had a substantial advantage at home and nothing much between them over the season. This year it looks as though they will all be at No 3 so a good guide to their respective abilities but it will be tougher for all 3 to actually win races. Just pleased that we have these youngsters to give us promise for Team GB in the future.2 points

Each to their own I have zero interest in 22 men kicking a ball of air about, whereas I might have gone to speedway to avoid the wall to wall coverage of it2 points

Surely you know the score by now. One meeting in June; 2 in July ; probably 6 in August and remaining 10 the first week in Sept.2 points

Silly me thought Speedway was a summer sport. One fixture in June and three in July (two less than a week apart). Yep that's good planning on someone's part!2 points

Exactly, Mr Trees. The point is that all England World Cup fixtures have a detrimental effect on attendances at all kinds of other events. Most sports promoters would try to avoid clashing with one, if at all possible.2 points

My stance hasn't changed at all, the Chris Simpson thing should and could have been sorted years ago. People asked time and time again to help generate some atmosphere as the jingles and general presentation Chris did was more of the time than Pete York. ? is Mick doing it for the right reasons or because by doing this it gets maybe a few more through the gate. WIth the news coming out today about Jim Lynch it wouldn't surprise me to see him as co-promotor. The Leicester team looks really good and will effect people going to see Coventry who maybe we're sitting on the fence, it's going to cost my dad a £1 more to see Danny King & co! The amount of statements from and concerning the bees that have come out and I read that the past is in the past is ridiculous. we had it with him falling out with Sandhu, A few weeks ago the save Coventry bees committee and now Chris Simpson? The person who deserves the biggest apology is Colin Pratt and the way he left Coventry via a txt message. Ex employees and sponsors also show its not just people on the outside jumping on the bandwagon and to fall out with so many people and that's just the few we know about ! When does the penny drop? That said I really do hope those who do go have fun and wish the team all the best.2 points

The “BSPA General Council”? My, doesn’t that sound grand for an amateurish, squabbling rabble.2 points

No complaints about the possibility of signing Tom Bacon he has improvement in him, it's the whole balance of the side in general which is wrong , even a schoolboy could get nearer to 42.50 than what is anticipated , I can see a few home defeats and some away thrashings on the cards with the proposed septet and by the time they are able to make any further changes it will be too late.1 point

Utter farce if it’s bacon, no disrespect but a tail end of Bacon/Grondal and Lambert with a poor second and third heatleader if you can even call it that is hardly going to draw the crowds needed. Sad but true, will take some thumping away from home. Will still support the side but the ability to get a decent side from the off is worrying and actually getting pretty tedious now. No doubt we will make a few signings and be a real force when it’s all too late and with the lack of fixtures this year there is a good chance of that happening.1 point

That article is a mess. You'd think Plummer wouldn't get ice hockey & speedway mixed up.1 point

So the plan now, it seems, is for the new stadium to be built on the same site as the current one. If new one is worked on and changed, then fine. If the current one is to be demolished first, then not fine.1 point

Difficult to say. The fact that Lawson rode for Somerset last season could imply Somerset will get the nod if the 2017 regs remain. However, as Somerset are riding on a non-allocated PL race day might tip the balance in favour of Lakeside.1 point

He's still recovering but it's going well. He' getting married this year so think he wants to concentrate on that also1 point

TBH I didn't think the governing body could muck up the averages any worse than the multiplyer farce of last year. However it seems they really can. Assessed and reassessed averages for some and not others with no real logic to the decisions is making it shape up to be the most corrupt season in a long time. We should be doing everything we can to endure British riders have the team spots they need. Making an average stick after a handful of meetings is plain ridiculous. And if they are helping one (Clegg) to a nice low average after meetings you can count on 1 hand and penalising another using the logic is plain bonkers. I see no reason why they can't both be using their start of 2017 averages as neither did enough meetings to qualify for a new 2018 top flight average. It seems the required amount of meetings to qualify can change rider on rider. Corrupt to the core.1 point

There is no logic. Richie was told 6.55 when we pointed out their mistake. The fact it’s not been made public baffles me along with all the other discrepancies this close season, the worst I can remember. Their mistake has probably cost Richie a top league team place. The sport is utterly bent with little sign of change.1 point

The Polish authorities (PZM) have lifted the 3 league maximum rule, but all riders who wish to have a fourth league added into their Polish Ekstraliga contract, require their club's permission and new contract paperwork to be completed. Gorzow are all away from the office at the moment!!1 point

I'm a big football fan, and Kings Lynn could be terrible this year, but I think I would still rather watch that Stars meeting than an England team led by Summer Harry Kane.1 point

in the "good old days" teams had 3 heatleaders averaging 10, 9, 8, a couple of 6 point second strings, and reserves - there's no way on this earth things should be compared to now1 point

I'm far too busy between races trying to find suitable stones to put under one side of the folding chair to stop it wobbling, rearranging the blanket so it doesn't keep sliding off my knee and trying to get the top back on my flask, never mind trying to remember where I put the sugar.1 point
