  1. I thought ducks like water - might be time to change your avatar
  2. And therein lies the problem. You have a rider like Max trying to be the best that he can be and it effectively leads to him losing his job for the next season. This is not the first time this has happened and is all down to the points limit. Other teams appear to have been smarter and while it is great that a rider gives 100% in every race, they need to keep an eye on their average and hence their employability - e.g. Jason Doyle. I remember when Leigh Adams was saddled with a ridiculous average (above 12) in the past - which makes team building a nightmare.
  3. Good luck to both teams and hope for a great meeting. May the best (Ipswich) team win
  4. They were much worse last year against the Aces - they even made the Aces look good
  5. I'm not sure Dickson knows anything about football as there is no England speedway team #justsaying
  6. The commentary from Kelvin and Chris is slightly ahead of the video so it’s quite annoying. Much prefer Kelvin on mute - no doubt about it
  7. My god - there are more people in my local pub than in the Torun stadium. Worst crowd I have ever seen
  8. I hope it is a good final over both legs with both teams capable of winning. Last year was too one sided with Leicester "running out of steam" at the end - probably because they had to wait to see who their opponents were and possibly race rusty. I would like to see Ipswich as champions because they built the best team this year and having lost out last year to injuries (and had significant injuries this year which could have affected them again), I think it would be a great result for them. I appreciate that the best team will be the one that wins over the two legs but In October, it is likely to be wet which will have an impact on performances. If Leicester win, I won't be unhappy I just think Ipswich have the edge this year.
  9. Looking at previous visits to Ipswich this season, it was an expected easy win for the Witches - which they deserved as they were the best team over the 2 legs - even with Emil being below par. I like both Dan and Brady but you could see they weren’t interested last night (which I understand), but if I was a BV fan I would have been very annoyed that they didn’t give 100% to at least try and get my team to the finals. The wet surface didn’t help but it was the same for everyone. You could say it was very poor scheduling to have this leg a few days before the biggest meeting for both Brady and Dan - surely it would have been better to have the first leg of the other semi last night and then we would have seen the best of Brady and Dan - as we usually do! TV schedules and SGPs are obviously more important than the dwindling fan base in the UK and that is why British Speedway is going through a slow, lingering death.
  10. Not a great advert for speedway. It was very one-sided given that neither team made the play-offs. The track seemed very dusty and it was all about the gating - although there was some limited passing. It was easy to see why KL beat OXF in all of their league meetings this year. Much the same as OXF have done to BIR.
  11. If he is fit and riding in Poland - there will be no facility at all.
  12. Very sad news - RIP Mike. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
