Quick question, all the talk seems to be about closing and that August 31st may be the last meeting, why does Rob not put the club up for sale to see if there are any interested party's in taking over the club instead of the scorpions disappearing into the wilderness, there are constant owner changes at other clubs why is scunthorpe different
What changes to the side do we think we be made with the return of Douglas and what facility will be used for the injured josh auty..I get the feeling the scorpions are going to have a great side put together for the remainder of the season
I have got to say this is the worst team performance in the 10 years I have seen watching the scorps at the EWR its OK rob telling us its OK we will better but it isn't him paying £17 admission to get in there was no entertainment apart from wilko and josh the shining lights most of the races were led start to finish from sheffield.. Davies looks well off the pace and Theo looks as though he is ready for retirement (next mark lemon) and to me looks as though having 2 inexperienced riders at reserve is a big mistake..but hats off to Sheffield they look quality and strong all round
Rob Godfrey has warned that it could be scorpions last season unless attendences improve. Just an idea many other clubs offer season tickets why don't Scunthorpe that would guarantee a core of supporters and a guarantee of money and when there is meaningless meetings for example Sheffield last one of the season with most of the team missing there was no reduction in cost I feel there could be a lot more done at Scunthorpe to get the fans in other than just expressing how good the racing circuit is. I'm a scorpion fan but feel the club are one of the poorest when it comes to marketing
