  1. Great idea that. If they can get to Calais, they should pick up a boat, no problem. They wouldn't need a Passport and they would be put into an Hotel free gratis. What's not to like? 🙄🤬
  2. My problem is not just the Speedway. I record Anderson Cooper and Kaitlin Collins every weekday night. I watch both Shows every morning. I know Trump is hostile to CNN - he is also a friend of the (Paramount) person involved in the takeover. I reckon both Shows will be finished. I do hope not though.
  3. Is it only me? I am still missing BackTrack Magazine,
  4. You are right Dean. Whatever happened to Public Relations?
  5. Sorry about the spelling Sotonian. I wasn't sure.. So long ago, I could not remember the spelling.
  6. Braefield/Northampton, are they one and the same? There used to be a Track at Braefield many years ago - is this the same place? Just out of interest, when Braefield closed, the Track Record Holder was Pete Wrathall (former Sunderland 'Star'). I suppose if it does, hopefully, get going - then he will still be the Track Record holder?
  7. ............. and Sunderland 'Saints' in 1964. 🤬 .................. or earlier as happened to Sunderland 'Stars' in 1974. 🤬
  8. Very true. Great years those four years. Never to be forgotten. 🙂
  9. Very true. He rode for us. Sunderland 'Stars'. 1971/72/73/74. 🙂
  10. George Barclay, a true gentleman. I knew him from his days riding for Sunderland 'Stars' from 1971 to 1974, when Sunderland closed. I can never remember George doing anything out of order on the Track. He was a very good and fair rider. I got to know him better through our Sunderland Speedway Reunions. He would talk about the old days with a sense of fun, and enthusiasm. His finest achievement must have been the work, effort and fundraising that he, and his wife Linda, put in to the Speedway Museum. It is undoubtedly true that without their stirling efforts, there would be no Speedway Museum in existence. I always thoought that he never seemed to get the recognition that he deserved. My condolences go to his wife, Linda, and to his many friends both inside and outside Speedway. I will always remember him with a smile. R.I.P. + George.
  11. Obviously you are a poet................. and don't know it. 😉🤣
