Paulco
Finally we have a KO Cup tie , cant imagine we've ever had to wait until October before racing our first KO Cup tie of the season before . Unfortunately our season seems to be limping out with a whimper and beating Newcastle over two legs will be a tall order . Nike , obviously , still out and Richard is riding for his other team annoyingly . There was talk of Dan and Jack riding in the NL play-offs for Belle Vue Colts , but surely not lol . No idea if Robert Lambert will be gracing us with his presence , but this will be a difficult meeting regardless . We've had non stop rain it seems for weeks , and this week has been no different , hopefully we get a rain break on Friday .

KEITH M
I have heard you have Ricky Wells , Kyle Newman, Connor Coles and Richard Hall all guesting + r/r for Dan Bewley... Newcastle have Ryan McDonald at 7 in place of Alfie Bowtell who is also at Belle Vue with Lakeside Edited October 4, 2017 by KEITH M

Popular Post Paulco
It has taken 24 weeks to get to this after Newcastle and Workington first round ended in a draw We all know doubling up has ruined this season , but this meeting brings it to a head what a nonsense it is . We have Lawson , Bewley and Smith missing and away riding for other teams , instead of us , on Friday and two of those riders are actually assets of our club . I love speedway , I love watching two evenly matched sides on a well prepared track doing battle . There's no more thrilling sight in sport than four riders , inches apart , vying for the lead in a race at speed . But this season has seriously diminished my enjoyment of the sport . Rain and injuries are things we can't do much about , but going into a quarter final cup tie with four guests and rider replacement is pretty much as low as it can get . The promotion wont thank me for saying this , but the best thing that can happen on Friday is that it pours from the heavens all day and spares us from this farce . I never thought i'd ever say this , but I can't wait for this season to end .
bigcatdiary
You also have it in the speedway Regulations that Championship takes priority over National except for NLRC, yet apparently the BSPA MC have overruled that rule and state Bewley and Smith ride in the NL. What is the point. Ludicrous
MD
I never thought i'd ever say this , but I can't wait for this season to end . Judging by the team we are putting out its not just the fans. Is there a reason we arent riding on the Saturday, again? Lack of continuity drives lack of interest! Gazc
Glad i am working late on Friday this is now beyond farcical.I decided weeks ago my season is done, completly fed up with the sport right now.And the point being why bother having assets if they are told to ride for other teams absolute joke sport. highside
Why are Newcastle using Ryan McDonald instead of asset and official no8 Josh Embleton ?

ragdoll64
Lack of continuity drives lack of interest! Indeed, and there has been this lack of continuity throughout this season. I have never known a season like it in this respect and as I've said before, it has been instrumental in undoing all the excellent work the promotion has put into recruiting new and returning fans......Sad.
IronScorpion
so all of a sudden its vital these 2 ride for the Colts When the Colts went to the IOW they both decided to take a holiday didnt they.... Also, at Lakeside, Shuttleworth was withdrawn from the Colts side to "act" as a no8 for Belle Vue in Premiership.
StevePark
Why are Newcastle using Ryan McDonald instead of asset and official no8 Josh Embleton ? I don't know. Maybe he can't get time off work to get there in time (only a possibility, as I say I don't actually know the answer)?
Gunner85
Rob Shuttleworth had been named in the team at Belle Vue. By the time Jack Smith was declared fit it as too late for Rob to get to Lakeside with distance from Cumbria tomLakeside so he ended up named as the no
SharpenRake
See the Glasgow Supporters Club have had to cancel their bus, then mini bus, to Newcastle due to lack of interest. If it had been held in may when it should have been raced Newcastle would have had 100s travelling down from Glasgow . As they say a lose lose situation
damosuzuki
Yeah a tragic ending to the season. Any self respecting governing body would be looking at the shambolic scheduling this season and this tie taking half a year, and saying this must never happen again. Teams have to be Forced to schedule whether they effing like it or not. there should be dates for all meetings on the basis of original scheduled dates, or cup rounds, penalties for failing to meet obligations. And a guy in charge with the power to say 'tough!' See the Glasgow Supporters Club have had to cancel their bus, then mini bus, to Newcastle due to lack of interest. If it had been held in may when it should have been raced Newcastle would have had 100s travelling down from Glasgow . As they say a lose lose situation that is truly pathetic.
