Ghostwalker
As a result of that Andreas was fined after he dropped out of this years Individual Swedish Final (without a valid reason according to the referee and according to SVEMO), Andreas has decided not to participate in next years World Cup. Neither will he ride in next years individual Swedish final. He says in an interview with TT (a news agency) that he blames SVEMO for his decision because they talk about making the sport safer after the last years severe crashes but still they wanted to get on with the SM final at alls costs despite a very wet track. He also claims that the dialogue between SVEMO and the riders arent especially good. Andreas also says that he has considered to apply for a Polish licence since he already have a Polish ID Card and soon also a Polish Passport. the article can be read in Swedish or in English. 21st century heathen
So AJ could ride for Poland in the SWC next season. It's all getting a bit silly now.

Mateusz
So AJ could ride for Poland in the SWC next season. It's all getting a bit silly now. His Polish is better than Holta's so why not lol
21st century heathen
The fact that Holta also represents Poland is what I was referring to. In future I can see riders changing left, right and centre. Having represented nation 'x' in any single FIM meeting a rider should not be allowed to represent nation 'y' in any future meetings. Cliv Clav
AJ pulled out of the meeting a few heats before the referee agreed the track was unraceable and abandoned it! Seems silly to fine him for this!
Peter
So AJ could ride for Poland in the SWC next season. It's all getting a bit silly now. They should do what they do in football. If you take part in an official match for one country you can't represent another.
Lawrence
I predict that AJ said that in angry... Having got Polishlicence is not quite easy like 2 or more years ago. When Holta got Polish passport, he needed just get a Poish citizenship and pass Polish licence exam, but only riding on tack. Since 2007, if any foreign rider wants to get Polish Licence, must pass practical exam on track, and pass written exam, but written exam must be IN POLISH language only... So, if AJ wants Polish licence - he must to become a Pole and learn Polish very well... Example - Martin Vaculik got Polish licence, but he is living in Slovakia, nearby Polish board, and he knows Polish well - probably not much worse than his native language. Zoe racers fan
Very interesting article about andreas jonsson on skysports! Top speedway rider Andreas Jonsson wants to throw his lot in with his adopted country Poland after falling out with the Swedish national federation. The 28-year-old Swede no longer wants to represent his homeland after falling out with Svemo, the Swedish motorcycling federation. The root of their dispute is a 1,000-krona (104-euro) fine Jonsson received for pulling out of last month's Swedish championships following concerns about the rain-soaked track. He now represents Poland, where speedway is highly popular and he is a star riding for the Polonia Bydgoszcz team. "I've have enough of Sweden. I want to be a Pole," Jonsson told Poland's PAP news agency. "I've already filled in the application for Polish citizenship. I have my base in Bydgoszcz, and also have a home there." The Grand Prix rider added: "I'm fed up with Svemo. I won't be representing them any more and I won't be going to the finals of individual championships next year
