Guest PanthersChamp06
Thank you, I'm supporting 4 riders, Ryan and Hans for obvious reasons and the Brits.

Champion
Is the Final formula the same as in Quals. (20 heats + 1 final) or is it 20 heats + 2 semifinals + the final ?

Champion
So it's going to be extremely hard to finish in the top
salty
Leaves us with the horrible possibility that someone gets a 15 point max and then gets an ef in the final thus not qualifying. Why can't they just have it as top 3 after 20 heats?

KevH
A la Hans Andersen a couple of season ago? Top scored, leading the final and stopped. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think Hans has too much to worry about this time round - if he fails to qualify via the Qualifying Round he is almost certain to get a Wild Card. DartfordHammer
Wow, what a final lineup that is. I honestly wouldn't place bets on anyone there, any one of those 16 could make it through. I'll be supporting Hans, Bomber, Steady and the Max! Though I'd be pleased to see Sully, Kolodziej, Holta, Pepe, Smolinski or especially PK make it through as well. Jools
If this is the riding order, then Stead has a tough couple of heats to start with. He'll have Jagus & Dryml in his first, who I believe have both ridden for VMS previously & then he has Anderson & Sullivan in his second heat. Ouch! I'm really looking forward to this mtg - it could be the best one of the year. Great line up of riders of similar abilities, so should be close. Would be very surprised if Holta (with home track advantage) and Andersen don't make the final. However, I think anyone & everyone else is capable of being there too. smiles
With 9 ex GP riders and 7 who have not been in the grand prix, i can see 3 ex GP riders back in the GP. Do we have any other fresh faces out there for the GP

spanner47
where is the closest airport to Vetlanda (anyone know)? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's slightly closer to gothenburg than nykoping, but when i booked with ryanair on sunday, it was £50 return to nykoping, either way looks about 2 hour drive at the most. Only £40 for the car too.

I've still to book my car rental for the Scandanavian GP for the Saturday before, and am still pricing up whether I can afford the Vetlanda trip too.... spanner47
spanner - flying from stanstead? what times are your flight? whats accomodation like out there? how many in your travel group? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Baz. As i'm getting married this weekend and i was booking terenzano at the same time, this trip was done on the real cheap. Out stansted 08-35 then back to airport after the meeting, crash out for a couple of hours then back on the 06-40. Please feel free to contact me on spanner1958@ntlworld.com if i can be of any use with a lift.

When i booked a tues-fri trip in the middle of august for swedish league meetings, most firms quoted £160-£190, holidayautos came up with £99, so may be worth trying them. I've always used them in spain, and now they seem to be branching out all over the place, and i've never had a problem with them. The price you see is the price you pay <unlike some of them>.
