Steve0
A tad harsh. The weather wasn't bad at the start - and the meeting would have got to a finish if it hadn't been for a couple of hold ups. Frustrating performance from the Robins - need Simon to kick on from his last one and Klindt to pick things up. And maybe a quick briefing on what the black and white helmet means Well I didn't go because it was raining and only going to get worse - which it did - what's harsh about that? It's short changing the fans (except the winning team who seem to think it was a great performance). It's not sour grapes from me and Coventry won because they were the better team in the conditions - that isn't my point and I will certainly be selective about which meetings I choose to attend! Reliant Robin
I dont know what you guys are expecting from Klindt. He's always been a gating tart with, by speedway standards, very little bottle. He's now total;y lost anything he had and will score 4 points most weeks beating the reserves. Gustafsson is a little better but only a little. I agree he seems to have slipped, but I was hoping he may just recapture some of the form he showed for the Robins in 2011. Granted we were awful that year, but he was one positive from the season and showed plenty of ability both in gating and passing going on to win our rider of the year (the competition wasn't top shelf material!) SCB
To gate He'll probably make one in the next few weeks. Probably be wasted when someone behind him falls off too.

The way you've been going on I thought you were at the meeting the fans that were there said the track wasn't to bad it was stopped because of visibility
orion
Hail Cameron Woodward? Great result ? Two reasons why speedway is nosediving in terms of popularity. I know it is the same for both teams but if the weather is that bad - why start? It wasn't ok for Poole against BV last season but it seems it's ok because Coventry take an away win!! Shocking double standards! The track was fine for racing and bar the hold up in heat two we would have finished the meeting .

You can be as selective as you wish, that is up to each individual. The harsh part was calling it a 'farce' for even starting when there was absolutely no reason for it not to have started.

Must have been the Blunsdon micro-climate again because in RWB it was lashing it down. That's what influenced my non-attendance and at least I didn't get short-changed. Those that did attend were short-changed but that's alright it happens all the time!
speedybee
Great start for the Bees, especially the reserves and Sarjeant way above expectations. I actually enjoyed some of the racing tonight and it wasn't bad given the conditions. I've seen much worse. I can't see Swindon losing too many home meetings, to be fair.
JamieE
A great result for the Bees, after last years Bees squad and a winter of watching the ice hockey team not really give a damn, it was very refreshing to see a Coventry team looking like they were having fun and giving it their all! From what you could see on the stream tonight the Bees look to be a good team unit this year - some good team riding, long chats after heats on the way back to the pits, riders waiting to congratulate at the pits gate etc. That means as much as the win in my opinion, that sort of mentality is usually a sign of a team that's going to do well. The reserves excelled themselves I thought, with promosiing signs from all the others. It's easy to say afterwards but I'm surprised to see the guest choice of Woodward was getting criticised in the run up to the meeting. He's a steady enough rider and I'm struggling to think of many better options there would have been on Bomber's average. Hope Ritchings is ok, looked a high speed get off before he went out of view of the camera. Have to feel for Swindon though, not an ideal way to start your home season, largely not helped by the weather. Not sure you can blame them for wanting to get the meeting on though, with one call off already I'm sure they were desperate to get a meeting on. Not ideal for the fans but we've all been there, one of speedway's unique problems it has to overcome unfortunately!
krompa
Bees for the title. Strongest reserves pair by far, good heat leaders and solid middle order. Surprised by Hansen as expected him to struggle.

Not heard anyone who went saying they were short changed ..so far only you who never went has said that . What did you want Swindon to do ? say I think the track might get worst in about in a hour an a half so lets not start in case that happens ? ..try to lose with some grace .

orion
So you pay for 15 heats and get 10 and you don't feel short changed?? No because before I went in I understood that if a match is call off after a certain amount of heats I would not get a refund and that has always been the way since I first went to a speedway match ... No doubt you feel everyone should get there money back and not pay the riders ? or not start a speedway match in case in rains in a hour ? hagonshocker
Wonder how many of the fickle Bees 'supporters' are calling for Havelocks head now?.......one victory and it's ultimate cockiness from some...Coventry totally deserved this but Swindon were absolutly dire..Pedersen exempted

If Coventry are champions at the end of the season I still won't like him.
