Ghostwalker
Two news: 1. Valsarna have decided (perhaps a bit surprisingly) to give Elitserien another go. Valsarna have managed to lower their debts with half (approx 400'00SEK~ £36'000GBP). Despite that they still have 500'000SEK (~£45'00GBGP) they have decided that they goal is to be in Elitserien next season. source. IMO its not a wise decision, the problem is not the debts itself but the reason to why they have the debts in first place which is due to the lack of specator and sponsor interest in Hagfors town and in the province of Värmland. 2. Indianernas Russian rider Renat Gafurov have decided not to ride for Indianerna in Indianerna's reaming quarterfinal. Renat have a meeting in Russian in the day after but Indianerna have found a connection that would work (a quite expensive one though). Apparently Indianerna tried to negotiate with Renat to see if he could agree on a slightly less paylevel due to the expensive plane ticket. Renat replied with that he now wanted a pay level five times higher then contracted. source.

f-s-p
A big meeting in Hallstavik tomorrow, Elektriska Open. Just heard about it myself from the very "wrong" source. A good lineup though! I am very surprised that Niko Siltaniemi did not get a place to ride in this one after his performance in the Finnish U21 meetings a few weeks ago. Still it's good to see hillopurkki making a comeback alltough I think NS would have shaken some serious feathers in this one given the chance. They'll have plenty of time to drive to Hallstavik after that... And Mika Loppi should have been in Vetlanda today for Vetlanda Open, but wasn't able to make it. Appearently he got hit by a car while riding a moped back home. However, I don't know the extent of his injury. After several withdrawals, many due to injuries, Vetlanda Open was contested in two parts, a team meeting and an individual final with the two team's two best performers. The ten riders were divided into two even teams, but Team Stewe got out on top by a six point margin against "my" team. f-s-p
It seems that Loppi is a lot like KK outside the track also. Kalle was/Kalle hit a car on his moped a few times also... If anyone has the results from Jensen Cup last saturday, I'd be happy to receive them, write them up, update the averages and post here. I got a spreadsheet yesterday but it had heat's marked for a non-excistent rider... Not gonna sign that one with my name...

Ghostwalker
the speedway team Bysarna on the Swedish Island, Gotland are one huge step closer on being able to start the construction of their new track in Hejde which is just east of Visby. Some of the people who live nere the suggested build site had appealed but länsstyrelsen (county administrative board) on Gotland rejected the appeals. The appeals concerned possible noise from the future racing on the track. However the noice measurements showed that all noice were below the decided limits. This means that work can begin in construction of a road to the decided location and when the road is finished, work will begin on the 80cc track, the pits and etc. http://www.svenskalag.se/start.asp?teamID=1227 http://sverigesradio...artikel=4073710 Edited October 7, 2010 by Ghostwalker
