Ghostwalker
Preview Swedish 2010 season Squads, transfers, rumours rule changes for the Swedish 2010 season each team are limited to 9 riders with an average that is 2.01 or higher. Swedish riders with an average of 2.00 (marked in blue) will not take up one of the 9 slots. One of the 1-7 positions HAVE TO be a Swedish u21 rider. Marked in Green (if average is 2.01 or higher) Swedish riders with an average that is lower then 6.00 can be "farmed" between partner teams and therefore these riders can be registered in the partner teams squad to allow "his" slot to be taken by a foreign rider. Next seasons fixed "season starting average" will be this seaons total score divided by heats times four. The old 18-formula system will still be used during the season to decided positions within a team (=determine reserves for each meeting) the "floating" average will still be updated after each meeting. No team will be demoted from Elitserien next season and from 2011 Elitserien will be a closed league with no promotions and demotions to/from allsvenskan. Teams can still be demoted if SVEMO considers that the team's economy is not good enough. A Swedish U21 rider is only allowed to be replaced once per meeting unless the replacing riders also is a Swedish U21 rider. From next season it is mandatory for Allsvenskan teams to have a minimum of one Swedish U23 rider in positions 1-7 at each meeting. There will not be any transfer windows during next season. There will still be one just prior to the seaons and the rules that allows teams to replace longterm injured riders will be changed. there will be a new playoff system and the "best looser" will not be a part of it. Elitserien will consist of a maximum of 9 teams despite that SVEMO earlier said that they wanted 10 teams. This could mean that one team will drop out Allsvenskan's Playoff will consist of all 6 teams. a minimum average cap will be re-instated for Allsvenskan. the old format league format with"double meetings" where teams meet the same opponent two weeks in a row will be used both in Elitserien and allsvenskan. the heat schedule will stay the same. Div 1 will be allowed to loan riders from any other team. riders will be allowed to use an unlimited amount of tires in Elitserien. the rule about punishment with wrong colours on the helmet hood will not be changed. no team will be demoted from Elitserien next season except for financial reasons. Other notes: Örnarna have qualified for Elitserien by reaching the final in allsvenskan playoffs but they have decided to stay in Allsvenskan because they cant find the funds needed for Elitserien. SVEMO have the option to ask Solkatterna who are not qualified but it is unclear if they can afford Elitserien and/or if they would approved since they already have had some problems with paying some of their riders. fixtures: Round 1- April 27 h Lejonen-Indianerna tv meeting Dackarna - Västervik Piraterna - Vargarna Rospiggarna - Elit Vetlanda Round 2 - May 4th Indianerna-Lejonen Västervik-Dackarna Vargarna-Piraterna tv meeting Elit Vetlanda-Rospiggarna Round 3 - May 11th Valsarna-Lejonen tv meeting Piraterna-Indianerna Dackarna-Elit Vetlanda Rospiggarna-Västervik Round 4 - May 18th Lejonen-Valsarna Indianerna-Piraterna Elit Vetlanda-Dackarna tv meeting Rospiggarna-Västervik Round 5 - May 25th Vargarna-Indianerna tv meeting Piraterna-Västervik Rospiggarna/Lejonen -Lejonen/Rospiggarna either this or next rounds meeting between these two are wrong. Ghostwalker
Two of next years Elitserien teams have expressed interest/intent to incorporate to avoid the new tax rules and to get the necessary funds into the Club. Both Valsarna and Västervik have said that they are considering incorporation. http://www.vf.se/Sport/Varmland/Valsarna-k...lag-091007.aspx Vargarna will have their annual Vargarna Riders Championship on Friday in this week. Its a race primarily intended for Vargarna to see new young talents. The Speedway High School in Hultsfred is in danger of being closed. The town of Hultsfred wants to save 1.6 million kronor on closing it. This have resulted in an interest from the headmaster at Njudungsgymnasiet in Vetlanda. he says that he intends to contact Elit Vetlanda's Sports Director Bo Wirebrand to investigate any possible interest from their side. http://www.barometern.se/sporten/ot-sporte...281560175%29.gm Edited October 7, 2009 by Ghostwalker

Ghostwalker
Örnarna says that they want to ride in Elitserien next season as they qualified by merit by reaching the final in the Allsvenskan playoffs. SVEMO have earlier made a statement where they said that the want to have 10 teams in Elitserien next season. However Örnarna now claims that they haven't heard anything from SVEMO about the promotion. Örnarna also says that they obviously need to know whether or not they can race in Elitserien next season. SVEMO says in a reply that they will contact Örnarna as soon as possible to discuss if they will be allowed to race in Elitserien and that it is dependable onÖrnarna's finances. Svemo also claims that the delay is because of "a missunderstanding". Örnarna themselves says that they have a stable financial situation and that they have "done their years in allsvenskan". http://www.corren.se/sport/motorsport/?articleId=5000054
Ghostwalker
Örnarna's promotion to Elitserien have been declined. http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/kalmar/sport/inde...artikel=3153766 http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/skaraborg/nyheter...Artikel=3153980 i wonder if it has anything to do with that SVEMO thinks it will be few teams in Allsvenskan next season if Örnarna would be promoted to Elitserien? Ghostwalker
some news. Greg H might leave Rospiggarna after 15 seasons. In a news article Greg confirms that Dackarna are interested by him and that he have replied to an offer by them. He also says that he is curious on Dackarna's reply. a comment on that is that it would imply that AJ is intending to move somewhere else and the question is where? Piraterna? Indianerna? Rospiggarna? Some other sources claims that Greg will ride for Piraterna next season and that Piraterna already have signed all their riders. The squad is supposed to be presented at the icespeedway event. Piraterna have also said that they intends to lower their rider salaries with 20-25% and that it possible would mean that riders like AJ are to expensive. Ghostwalker
some more league related news. All these news is taken from Svemo's latest Protocol. There will not be any transfer windows during next season. There will still be one just prior to the seaons and the rules that allows teams to replace longterm injured riders. there will be a new playoff system and the "best looser" will not be a part of it. there might possible be a new heat schedule. Elitserien might also look a bit different next season. Perhaps Anders can tell us more as he is involved in it (?). "A-teams" in Div1 will be allowed to have one nordic rider that have a license from a Nordic country that does not have a series system. Thomas H Jonasson is suspended from ALL racing between 2010-04-26 kl. 14.00 to 2010-05-24 kl. 14.00. i do not know why but i think it has to do with THJ skipping a QP Qualification QF and raced in a Polish league meeting. a letter will be sent out to all team where the Club Chairmens/womans will have to sign a letter to assure that their club do not have any rider debts. Elitserien will consist of a maximum of 9 teams despite that SVEMO earlier said that they wanted 10 teams. This could mean that one team will drop out. Well done Svemo! We talked about this new rule regarding the signing of a Nordic rider in the 1st division for next year. What is an "A-team"? Not really sure about it... But the thing is that this rule opens the gates only for the riders from Iceland, since Greenland is technically a part of Denmark. Norway and Finland both have a league of somesort in operation. So what was the point of this? Edited October 14, 2009 by f-s-p
Ghostwalker
Indianerna is the third team that intends to incorporate. It is new tax rules which is the need for incorpotaion of some teams According to Indianerna they will not sign any riders before how much they will have to pay for them. Valsarna have signed Krzysztof Jablonski. Jablosnki came to Valsarna during a transfer window the past season and has been their best rider. Regarding THJs suspension: In The League Rules chapter 1 part 4 (1.4) it says that a rider have to apply for a starting permit from SVEMO if he/she wants to race in a foreign league. The requirements to obtain such a permit is that the riders participating in a foreign league must not interfere/intrude on that riders obligations to ride in the Swedish series system, in championships and other official international meetings where the rider represents his country and svemo. THJ had a QP qualification meeting to ride in at the Saturday but instead of going there he decided to goto Poland to race in their league and by doing that he violated that particular rule since the foreign league meeting intruded on his participation in the GP Qualifiers. So Svemo only followed their rules when they penalized THJ. Although imo it could have been enough with 1-2 weeks suspension. Wouldn't be surprised if appeals and thats what he ends up with or a suspended ban and a fine.
Anders
There will not be any transfer windows during next season. There will still be one just prior to the seaons and the rules that allows teams to replace longterm injured riders. Not particulary for or against this one. I really can't see the need to change. Surely it's reasonable to be able to replace an underperforming rider with a newcomer, that's possible in all other sports, upon a certain date prior to the play off, of course. there will be a new playoff system and the "best looser" will not be a part of it. Great! Not a minute too late, IMO. there might possible be a new heat schedule. How is this format? How many riders are there in each team? How many of them have scheduled rides? How many heats? There could be things that complicates the process of signing riders to contracts, or change the (best) way to build a team. It could screw everything up, but surely the clubs most have a view on this? I certainly haven't seen it yet. Elitserien might also look a bit different next season. Perhaps Anders can tell us more as he is involved in it (?). As it says in the protocol, Elitserien should consist of 9 teams next year "as the conditions radically have changed since the decision about 10 teams in Elitserien for 2010 was determined". I don't know what they mean exactly, I have no idea. Apart from the two changes mentioned above, I'm not sure what's different next year. The part that I'm involved in, is to make a proposal for a new fixture list, together with Lejonen's Anders Fröjd. "A-teams" in Div1 will be allowed to have one nordic rider that have a license from a Nordic country that does not have a series system. Both Finland and Norway have a league structure, although a small one. So, I wonder which Islandic riders are available? We talked about this new rule regarding the signing of a Nordic rider in the 1st division for next year. What is an "A-team"? Not really sure about it... But the thing is that this rule opens the gates only for the riders from Iceland, since Greenland is technically a part of Denmark. Norway and Finland both have a league of somesort in operation. So what was the point of this? You could translate "A-team" as a stand-alone team. Several Elitserien teams have their reserve league team in Division 1, under the existing Elitserien organization, so they can't sign Nordic rider. Stand-alone teams such as Filbyterna, Eldarna etc. can do this. But as you have pointed out, I also wonder what the point is? Thomas H Jonasson is suspended from ALL racing between 2010-04-26 kl. 14.00 to 2010-05-24 kl. 14.00. i do not know why but i think it has to do with THJ skipping a QP Qualification QF and raced in a Polish league meeting. Am I surprised? No, not really. I rarely get surprised by decisions anymore. I won't print my opinion here, because I'm pretty sure that would get me suspended from this forum, and the fact that I know more than I actually can share. Sure, I can see it as reasonable that the federation want to make a point here, but a 4 weeks suspension? Give me a *** **** break... a letter will be sent out to all team where the Club Chairmens/womans will have to sign a letter to assure that their club do not have any rider debts. Not sure what effect this will get, because I think clubs will still bluff SVEMO, even though that would be a criminal offence. Hopefully, more clubs will sign and pay riders they can actually afford. Guess it's not a bad thing, but how it will work in factual cases remains to be seen. Elitserien will consist of a maximum of 9 teams despite that SVEMO earlier said that they wanted 10 teams. This could mean that one team will drop out. 9 teams aren't good, as there will always be one team with no meeting in each round. However, I'm convinced that there aren't enough riders to fill 10 fairly equal line-ups, why a league consisting of 8 teams would probably be better in that aspect. Ghostwalker
Andreas Jonsson wants to move home to Rospiggarna and Rospiggarna wants him. The problem is that Rospiggarna only have managed to find enough funding to be able to offer him a one season contract while AJ wants a contract for several years. AJ says that its looks difficult at the moment but that he and Rospiggarna are continuing to work hard to find a solution. http://www.norrteljetidning.se//sport/artiklar/id/11628

Grerg says that he have several good offers and that Piraterna or Vargarna is the most likely new team at the moment. Dackarna are also interested in Greg. http://www.norrteljetidning.se/sport/artiklar/id/11676 Mikael Max will continue to ride for Lejonen next season. Although no contracts have been signed yet, Mikael and Lejonen have reached an agreement about the contract. http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/jonkoping/nyheter...artikel=3186100
