Thanks Steve. I'm hoping to go to a meeting in Japan at the end of May and wondered if there might be some names to look out for, but if he lives in USA then I guess not.

Steve

When and where was born Graham Warren ??

He was born in Fiji around 1923, he joined the Australian Air Force as a despatch rider during the 2nd World War.

And started speedway when the war ended.

He came to Britain in 1948, joining Cradley. He was too good for that League(Div.3) and switched to Birmingham(Div.2).

He scored 25 maximums that year to help Birmingham get promoted to Division 1.

He rode in the first post-war World Final in '49 and made the rostrum in '50. He rode for Australia many times, with great success.

A crash in New Zealand, where he broke his skull, didn't end his career but it ruined any chance he had of improving further.

A very popular rider who almost certainly never rode in Fiji, but he was definitely born there.

I hope that will do ! B)
