DutchGrasstrack
Well I'm a bit late with the speedway news from The Netherlands this year. Anyway, the first round of the Dutch championship was held on sunday 13 may in Lelystad. Results: A group: 1. Jannick de Jong (3,3,3,3) 12 2. Henry van der Steen (3,2,3,2) 10 3. Pascal Swart (1,3,3,3) 10 4. Nick Lourens (2,2,2,2) 8 ---- 5. Randy Oldenziel (3,2,1,2) 8 6. Jeffrey Woortman (2,1,2,3) 8 ---- 7. Raymon Woortman (2,1,2,1) 6 8. Lars Zandvliet (1,3,0,X) 4 9. Erik Eijbergen (1,1,0,1) 3 10. Henkie Koonstra (0,0,1,1) 2 11. Sjoerd Rozenberg (0,0,1,X) 1 12. Robert-Jan Bangma (0,0,0,0) 0 B group: 1. Andy ter Schuur (2,3,3,2) 10 2. Mark Beishuizen (3,3,3,3) 12 3. Maurin Vochteloo (1,1,2,2) 6 4. Kelly Velda (2,2,X,1) 5 ---- 5. Roelof Postma (0,1,1,1) 3 6. Erwin Werkman (X,0,X,X) 0 The second round was supposed to be held at Veenoord on the 2nd of June. Sadly this meeting got cancelled, not sure why, but I think it has something todo with the lack of riders. Most riders got important grasstrack meetings on the same weekend... DutchGrasstrack
The Veenoord meeting was indeed cancelled due to lack of riders. Strangly this is because there are some important FIM/UEM grasstrack meetings on the same weekend, so infact they could know this months ago. Anyway; the next round of the Dutch championship will be held on the 15th of July at Lelystad.

DutchGrasstrack
There is another round at Lelystad on October 7. Yes; it's an open championship; if Sekula will ride in the next round and he wins then he's the 2012 Dutch champion.
DutchGrasstrack
Result from Veenoord: 1. Mariusz Fierlej (3,3,2,3,3) 14 + (3,2) 5 2. Raymon Woortman (1,1,0,1,1) 4 13. Marco Gaschka (2,1,0,X,-) 3 14. Nick Lourens (1,1,X,0,X) 2 15. Aleksandr Boroday (0,0,1,-,-) 1 16. Pascal Swart (X,0,0,0,-) 0 17. Jeffrey Woortman (X,-,-,-,-) 0 Robert Lambert was very impressive once again. After he came second at the German U21 final in Gustrow on friday night he stormed in a third place overall in Veenoord. In his first final he came second just behind Polish rider Fierlej. Sadly he crashed out in the second final which cost him valuable points. DutchGrasstrack
The last round of the Dutch championship was held last sunday at Lelystad speedway. Polish rider Marcin Sekula won again and is therefore the new Dutch speedway champion. For the second and third place in the championship they had to run a race-off between Jannick de Jong and Henry van der Steen. De Jong won so he is second in the championship. See below for the results from Round 3. I was quite suprised to see a Bulgarian rider in the results, but also quite sad that there were not a lot of riders once again (many are injured). Speedway A: 1. Marcin Sekula POL (2,3,3,2) 10 2. Henry van der Steen NL (3,2,3,2) 10 3. Jannick de Jong NL (1,3,2,3) 9 4. Henk Koonstra NL (1,1,2,3) 7 --- 5. Randy OldenzielNL (3,1,0,x) 4 6. Raymon Woortman NL (2,0,1,1) 4 --- 7. Chavdar Chernev BUL (0,2,1,x) 3 8. Maurin Vochteloo NL (0,0,0,1) 1 Speedway B: 1. Mark Beishuizen (3,3,3,3) 12 2. Andy ter Schuur (3,2,2,3) 10 3. Nico Eijbergen (2,1,0,2) 5 4. Kelly Velda (1,2,1,2) 6 5. Roelof Postma (1,0,0,0) 1 6. Niels Remmelts (0,0,1,1)
arnieg
I'm a bit confused after looking at the final standings here: http://www.knmv.nl/uploads/archive/2012/KNMV_Speedway_ONK_Totaalstand_2012-10-07.pdf The official results show Robert-jan Bangma competing in the first round and scoring 39 points - these seem to have disappeared and all riders in the B group promoted one place Secondly why are Erwin Werkman's 34 (or should that be 33?) points excluded - shouldn't that only happen to riders competing in all three rounds? DutchGrasstrack
I will ask the KNMV about it, I think they forgot to add Bangma his points from the first round to the championship table. Calendar for 2013: 01/06 Blijham 01/09 Blijham 28/09 Veenoord All are international meetings. At the moment it looks like that there won't be a Dutch championship next year. No clubs have shown interest in staging a Dutch open meeting sadly.
DutchGrasstrack
Big changes in the Dutch speedway season this year. There will be a Dutch speedway league, well it's a start, but it's a league. Four clubs are going to organise a few league meetings; Veenoord, Blijham and Lelystad will obviously use their own tracks and the Roden club is going to try to run a meeting on a track in Germany. There won't be a complicated signing system, like the professional leagues, but for now the riders will be spread around to clubs. Calendar looks like this: 05/05 Lelystad, league meeting 01/06 Blijham, international meeting 03/08 Veenoord, league meeting ??/09 Blijham, league meeting 22/09 Lelystad, league meeting 28/09 Veenoord, international meeting 06/10 Lelystad, dutch open championship More info sooooooon. iris123
Moorwinkelsdamm would be the likely choice i guess. They used to host "Dutch" meetings a few years ago from memory
DutchGrasstrack
Yes the Roden club is going to try to rent the Moorwinkelsdamm track.
www
Any news about this new Dutch league? I haven't found anything on www.knmv.nl.
DutchGrasstrack
Sorry for the late reply. To be honest I have no idea what is going on with the Dutch league. The latest is that Lelystad have dropped out and that they will run a four team meeting instead (NL, GER, PL, ?) in june.
