now i dont want to throw a big spanner in the Poole team build , but if Trigger was signed as a stop gap rider on a 2.00 and by some strange turn of fate hr has a steller season up to JUNE . averageing around , say 4.5 . it would take a brave promotion to replace Ben with a brand new 2.00 rider ( Mr Cairns ) hopeing he would gain an average of over 4.5 . poss more . no advantage at all . you would have been better off sticking with Sam and Vinnie and waited untill 1026 , (thats if you run ) !

Looking at this article, and how the promotion describe the situation, I'd say that the last rider is likely to have an ave 2 points (or just under) higher than Vinnie Foord's ave. The way I read it they had 7 lined up to 38 points including Foord, and dropped/replaced Foord when the limit went to 40 https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/24738479.poole-pirates-danny-ford-vinnie-foords-departure/ Not sure what that means for the other (unannounced) team places though

It would be interesting to know just how many people living in or around Cardiff actually attend the Grand Prix meetings. This would perhaps give a good pointer as to whether a Cardiff Club would be supported - IF of course, a suitable venue in the City could be found. I spent some time working in Cardiff during my working days, and the people there all said that the old Cardiff track at Penarth Road was a difficult place to get to in the days when not so many people had cars and had to rely on buses, and that they thought this was why it didn't last very long. The Penarth Road track is long gone now, but I did look for it in about 1964 and found what ws left of it which was just a couple of huts without roofs, and a concrete starting area. Pre war, there was a Cardiff track at a place called White City which has also disappeared now, and some of my Cardiff mates did suggest a place called The Maindy Stadium might be a possibility. Glyn Taylor once told me that he had a stadium in mind - but he wouldn't say where! I never managed to get to Carmarthen, which was a bit of a disaster, but I did go once to Neath and saw that the crowd was poor and the facilities non-existent! I'd really like to see tracks at Bristol and Cardiff though.

He said that himself. Reggie will do a job for you . Wider track which he will like. He will up his average this year. Guarantee he will score well back at Berwick when you visit
