They were closer last year to the limit simply through made up averages for their top two... The reality was somewhat different.. This team looks stronger, and has more potential to improve... Sixth for me, depending on whether Oxford can pull a rabbit out of the hat.. There is probably one team too many in the top league for all to be competitive given the lack of interest from those one and two tier riders who are not interested in riding over here.. And the second division fans bemoan their lack of meetings.. A shame a compromise couldn't be achieved for Birmingham to ride on Monday in the second division, especially as it wouldn't be too difficult to work around so few fixture clashes... Or maybe Oxford just ran in the second division for a season to see how Birmingham unfolds track wise? Six teams would have delivered a very competitive league with decent riders on standby for injuries...

Thanks for the update. Race night and timings are sensible. Since my original post I have been told draft fixtures show Young Stars at Kent Eagles in mid August. Looking forward to hearing the podcast. -
I guess you do but I've always been of the mind that if you are going up to the limit for the sake of it and shoe horning in an unsuitable rider or submitting to somebody asking ridiculous money then it can be a fools errand. Voulas and Jeppesen potentially have serious improvement in them, to leave one of them out for someone who has a higher average but not much else going for them in comparison would be silly IMO. Getting the right blend of riders is more important.

It may be difficult to attract riders to ride in uk but surly u need to go as close to the limit as possible.... -
There is a podcast dedicated to the Young Stars coming out soon (hopefully tomorrow). It features Jason Pipe, Jody Scott, Cooper Rushen and Calum Mitchell. Race nights were mentioned and likely to be a Wednesday on weeks when the Stars don’t have a home meeting. All fixtures subject to final confirmation but Young Stars likely to start away at Birmingham mid-April.
