needs to step up to what? he is a 7.5-8 point rider so if he maintains his average he'll be doing his job cook rowe cairns and probably the other rider will be your improvers lawson kerr and thomsen are what they are -

Apart from Lawson, who always seems to deliver, they'll all have to step up next season, still looking a strong side and maybe another rabbit out the hat for the last rider, but can't see them dominating like they did last season, although they normally seem to get it right. Nice to see the last heat leaders Eastbourne had being employed by Poole again .... -

Re tracks in South Wales - There was some talk of a track in the proposed car & bike racing track planned for Ebbw Vale area which fell through much to my disappointment having moved to the area from Newport, And of course there have been 2 tracks in Newport - Somerton Park now a housing estate (built by the Housing Association I used to work for - the irony) and Queensway Meadows now a truck yard (after it burnt t down after it closed) as well the aforementioned Cardiff, Neath & Carmarthen (which was a great little track housed in a showground) and also tracks in the very early days at Caerphilly & Tredegar and possibly New Tredegar. A venture to bring racing to Swansea at one point was to come to nothing. The crowds initially at both Newport tracks were outstanding but faltered, but proved it could be feasible in Newport at least and it drew a support from across South Wales.
