I'm not one of them. Vinnie Foord is a prime example of a young rider who had a 3.81 GSA or 5.14 incl BP at close of NDL 2023 and look how he progressed with Poole in 2024. Springer was 15 last season and the videos I saw indicate he is better than Foord was at 17 back in 2023. Who knows what will happen pre 1st July but if a young lad (whoever he is) does that well then there is nothing to stop the Fords offering him a contract for a reserve berth in 2026 plus he could even be pushing to keep his place for next season depending on circumstances. However no pressure would be on him as it would be unfair and if he was to develop like a Vinnie did in 2024 then I'm sure Poole would make sure he is signed. -
It's a great place from which to view the meeting.....you'd have thought that incentive alone would suffice?

Proving you've never actually watched Speedway at Sheffield or you'd know that there are many passing places around Owlerton... notably the dive bomb into turn 3 or a big sweep around turns 1 and 2 🤡 -
Not enough volunteers in afraid for that to happen unless the club pays folk for doing the task rather than them doing it for free

Clubs need to start making their own plans for special fixtures and arranging friendly matches outwith the leagues and KO cup. I'd love to see some international invitational friendly matches.
