He was fine away as a late replacement for Dan in the championship year of 2022 being in the teams top two scorer's in 5 out of his 9 qualifying meetings. Had a blinder in the play off semi and did his job in the final. There was only really wolves he couldn’t be bothered with and who can blame him. Not an issue currently, unfortunately. Top performer given the right canvas and worth a couple of points in the pits with his motivational skills.

Rew decided to leave. He said that he will “see you soon” when I spoke to him and no bridges are burnt so I expect him at some point to return to Ipswich.

Don't think Oxford fans will welcome him with open arms after his last stint there

It seemed when he went to number 2 and signed for Leicester, he struggled

I think nowadays that the top four win matches.. Especially the top two... Not many No6's are of the level to beat any of the top three (or even four) riders in their own or their oppositions team given their level, and the level of the opponent.. Maybe in the Championship it could happen given the much lower standard of HL's... Teams with a "strength in depth" plan may get some joy from having a "decent" reserve, but up against the top fours of BV, Ipswich and Sheffield (as not many races won't have at least one of them in), having a reserve performance to beat them will be an exception rather than a rule in today's top league I would say..
