More people watch the 30 second commercial once than all those who watch speedway as a whole   And the average man in the street probably identifies the person endorsing it,  would they know Chris Harris?

They seem to draw the line at Eurosport though 😂 I think the Elite League was sponsored by SkyBet for a time during the Sky years wasn't it?

Listening to the talk speedway podcast with Peter Facenna. Freddie working for the Glasgow owners (probably a good reason for him to go to Glasgow). Interesting listen. Need to listen to more of these as good content.

I don't think the gambling companies are very aware of Speedway but they are fully versed on advertising & being able to get your name on live TV for over 2 hours by sponsoring a sports team seems cheaper than asking a retired footballer or former actor to make a 30 second commercial.

It was a success but can only really be done for a big meeting, you need to be able to balance a book to make it worthwhile.
