A brilliant meeting for the neutral, a heart pounder for Tigers and Pirates fans. Glasgow did what I expected them to do and started to take control of the meeting until HT 15 when their momentum stopped. After seeing Howarth looking so rattled in the pits after finishing last in 15 I thought surely he would be replaced. A 2nd and 3rd repeat in the super heat would have been enough but Cook and Lawson finished in style. Much has been said about the first leg track conditions, but why on earth would Poole set up the track to suit Glasgow? First look at Ashfield tonight before the meeting was as predicted, outside chopped up and super grippy for Harris. Nobody would have expected anything less. I rarely post these days , but it is always a pleasure to look in every now and then and enjoy reading the displeasure of the Pirates continued success from the anti Poole brigade. Up the Pirates -
Has Glasgow now taken over the “best track in Britain” mantle from Belle Vue? Both prepared by Andy Meredith, both fast and smooth but Glasgow provides closer racing IMO -

Harris got interviewed because he won the rider of the nite vote, so they present the trophy and do an interview. Then they covered the truck parade and trophy. Well done pilots gated when it mattered and the track slickened off so bomber struggled to pass. But a fantastic watch speedway was definitely the winner tonight -
